You can switch to desktop mode, connect your charger and download any game from your steam there. The display will turn off after 10 minutes but the device won't sleep and continue downloading. You can also adjust that 10minute timer in the settings if you want to. I forgot the exact name but it has "power" in its name.
True, I’m using this method. Still, it would be great if there was an option to turn of the screen in the gaming mode while downloading and to wake it up with a button press or button combination.
I'm old and I worry about burn in too, but at this point we really don't need to. There is zero chance that you'll get burn in if you turn the screen down and leave it on. It is highly likely that they are sourcing their OLED screens from the same place as Nintendo and Wulf Den's exhaustive test showed that it would take an absurd length of time to get burn in. So download away! 👍
Dont Think About Burn in My Switch is OLED My TV is OLED My Monitor is OLED No Device has Burn in After about 2 years of Heavy use (especially the tv, always use my ps5 with it And there is no burn in from hud or anything Else)
@@axnlogixI have Switch OLED and PS Vita 1000 with OLED screen both of them don't have burn in. And my studies and test on oled screen that you have to leave them for 72hours that's like 3 days straight leaving them causes burn in. And most people only play games on their device for 5-6 hours so there won't be any burn in problems!
my Smartphone has slight burn in after 4 Years of everyday use (very slight, barely noticeable if youre not searching for it). judging from my phone im rather concerned about the battery degrading cause of the lots of loadcycles my deck has to go through...
Your getting 45 mins of battery? I've been watching a lot if SD oled and the lowest ive seen its at least 2 hours but most cases 2 hours and 30 minutes. I have the og steam deck and I've never gotten 45 mins running a AAA game before.
I got my new OLED 4 days ago and I just tried to played days gone last night til its 20% battery left I charged it last night 9pm then I checked it early morning it says the battery is Full but when I unplugged the charger the battery says 99% right away have you experienced that?
I want to play F1 2023, FH4/5, cyberpunk, COD and Bully. Can this steam deck play those titles? I’m a mac guy and don’t like windows. I’m used to console gaming on Xbox.
does the steam deck have a picture/photo viewer? ..if so, put a jpeg (make the jpeg a pixel size of 1200x800) of a plain flat black image onto your steam deck, and then open/view that image fullscreen when you are downloading games. That way your display will be on but it will be showing a black image on the entire screen, and any chance of burn-in will be eliminated
I think it's a Steam Deck 1.45 haha the Steam Deck 2 should just be 100% faster at most they should also include a fingerprint scanner it's really helpful when buying games and a better oled screen or a mini led screen with a 1000x1600/900x1440 screen resolution for the perfect 16/10 they can also give us 100hz to play at a 50fps cap for an excellent handheld console experience. And also better battery life like a 60WHr Battery coupled with performance optimization. They should also expand the power cap to 20 watts when plugged or docked.
Battery life varies greatly. People who want to have best image quality and highest possible frame rate will have is rather short. People who can compromise the settings will have it longer. For some spending few additional minutes to find best settings for their needs which is a good balance between graphical settings and frame rate (on OLED 45fps/90Hz) is totally worth it.
Their software in low TDP is dogcrap, for that kind of money they should really fix that. And Asus is NOT a true handheld, you know "on the go" gaming like they marketing it. Scam@@mravg79
Honestly these OLED upgrades these handhelds are putting out are a bit of a scam. They really dont have the specs to drive an OLED display properly for one. And like he says not worth it if you have an lcd model already. And even if you have the money, its a tough sell when the lcd model exists. It just doesn't offer enough internal improvement to justify it.
He keeps calling it “PREMIUM” anti glare coating. Sir, there is nothing premium about a coating that worsens the OLED contrast. The 512 Oled is the superior choice because the contrast and colors look better on glossy screen than your etched “premium” screen.
its sound "premium" because it was an EXTRA coating that made the screen looks blend in with the console it self, unlike the glossy one the screen seems separated with the console like switch. And its not worsen the oled color or contrast at all, you need to own one to make statement like this, there is also a lot of technical test that proven both display look the same. Etched screen is not Matt screen, they are both different dont confuse them. the LED are pixel by pixel, and the etched screen is designed pixel by pixel too so there are no LED were blocked.
Thank you for watching! I've got some plans to improve my content once I move to my new place! Stay tuned for some cool stuff in the future!
My favorite part was when he said, "its steaming time." Then he steam decked all over the place.
I’ll be sure to steam next time
Wait until he discovers "DOCKING"

Are you convincing yourself to not be worried about something or what? lol

I also use my steam deck with my surgical gloves 🧤 just in case I collect some of my one bacteria and viruses..... except from the gloves good video

The OLED is one of the steam decks of all time
what?
it's a meme@@TheLilRoland
Good video, rubber gloves are a little weird
He takes his anonymity very seriously! What if someone recognized his model hands on some TH-cam channel? His hand modeling career would be gone. 😂😂😂
@@BaronVonTomasthis comment reminded me of Friends episode when Joey found his hand twin.
(Yes I’m old 😝)

You can also pull out the inside of the case and it becomes more compact.

that's actually really creative bro !!!
How can you download a game when it's sleeping fam? doesn't make much sense. When your PC is sleeping it also does not download.
Phone sleep downloads stuff

The oled switch actually has a very nice speaker upgrade
8:45 that’s not really accurate for the OLED. You get about 2 hours in AAA games max TDP and sometimes up to 8-10 in smaller titles
Need ur advice bro . Do you have got issue volume in steamdeck going down itselft?...
My dilemma: i want a windows pc, is the legion go the ebst? It seems good with good docking and external gpu support
I would just wait and spend the extra 4-500$ and buy a gaming laptop around 1500$
You showed that you had enshrouded on there. How does it perform?
I’ve got a video taking a look at that game on the OLED!
Im defo getting this
For my games on Steam, i just copy and paste my game data from. My pc to my steam deck. There is no need to download and install it 😁
I agree that batterylife is crap on handhelds but SD Oled has good battery life. Imagine Rog Ally owners haha they get a solid 1 h on 2D games haha

are you actually able to play Helldivers 2 on that Steam Deck? its playable?
Great video, shocked the views are low on this one, deserves to be pushed out to more people
What’s happening with this comment section 😂😭😭
Wait, you can get a MONITOR and a ps5 and an extra controller and a subscription etc., for under 750dollars? What kinda monitor lol
