18k on the buckle means it's fake. The real ones have the mark for gold hardware instead, like they use on their bags that have gold hardware.

I only have a genuine buckle, gold in color, the guilloche model. After less than 1 week of wearing it, the golden metal began to darken !!! Has anyone else encountered this issue ? P.S. the buckle is genuine and was not worn on bare skin or anything else except on the leather strap.
