I laughed at the part where he talks about how the outer sole was designed by nature and how it’s based off palm tree leaves. I thought to myself in that moment “Ah yes, because palm leaves are best know for their TRACTION.”
I came here for a genuine review and thorough dive of these shoes I was confused for 9 minutes until I decided to see the comments to see what's going on. It was at this moment I decided to shut my laptop and take a walk by a lake to reflect on my life choices while gone with the wind plays in the background.
I should have known ... I'm not usually so dang gullable. However, the thought of anything in Braille ... I checked my crocks and blushed in embarrassment, because of course that's not right! Also, why would they Braille a RETURN POLICY? Ugh ... well-played.
👍🏻 You had me all the way until the braille feature! Seriously though, i spent too many years secretly mocking people who wore Crocs - dismissing them as cartoon clogs. Until I found myself walking past an actual Crocs store one day, and tried my first pair. I was instantly hooked, and have never worn anything else since (on my feet!). Fortunately the salesman showed me the secret to finding the right size, which is to slide your foot (without socks) as far forward as possible, and there needs to be at least a finger space between your heel and the inside back of the shoe, while your toes should be completely free and touching nothing. This ensures maximum protection for your foot, and maximum comfort. Which i have come to deeply appreciate since developing diabetes, as even tiny cuts and scratches take forever to heal (i too have a cat!). I depend on the 4WD feature whenever i leave the house, and especially while driving. Only 2 gripes. One, they no longer make the style i first got hooked on (cross-trails or x-trails?), which were extra wide and had a blunt toe cap. Fortunately they do bring out other extra wide styles now and again. Second, I've had two pairs shrink to the point of being unwearable after washing them and drying them in the sun! Otherwise, i can't imagine wearing anything else on my feet. I've worn out countless pairs, and currently choose from about 10 different colour/style combos each morning. Yes, I've become "that uncle" 🤣
Same. On the braille part I was like that doesn't look like braille, just straight lines. Eh, maybe. Then he sticks his fingers out and I was like oh hell no
As a high school teacher for the past 20 years I always wore dress shoes. I would never be caught dead wearing rubber shoes. Then I went on a field trip with students to Disney, and my dress shoes weren't cutting it. All the kids were wearing Crocs and demanded I try them. Short story short, I now wear them all the time and my feet have never been happier.
I went to college in Boulder, CO in the late 90s and became friends with the founders of crocs in its absolute infancy. Everyone including myself told them nobody is buying some pos foam clog looking thing. Everyone was wrong. Do not listen to everyone, do your thing and believe in yourself. That is all. Okay but you and everyone one else was right. Sure people bought and still buy crocs but it’s only people who fall victim to the marketing and “trendiness” of the product, along with the few people (I’m friends with one) who decide to buy crocs ironically, just to wear them cuz she knows me and the rest of our friends hate looking at these foam clog looking things fr 😂

it’s almost 3am on April fourth and i was so confused with how that was braille inside the shoes but didn’t really think too much of it and everything else made sense until the sticking your toes through the holes to grip the ground part because i know my toes are really long and i didn’t think they could even touch the ground so whose toes could but then i saw the comments
I never thought I’d end up loving Crocs until I bought a pair second hand. The ‘Braille‘ (joke or not) is worn and so are the bottoms. I’ve bought new ones since. My original pair (color discontinued) is still my favorite! I wish the winter lined ones had removable liners to wash and reinstall.
I always use the 4 wheel drive option when I take my dog for a walk, it really helps with the hills. I rarely use the extra toe grip feature, but it’s nice to know it’s there.
Crocs came out when I was going to summer camp as a CIT, and we all loved them. The sport mode let us run around and play all the crazy games, and the clog mode made it easy to get in and out of them at the pool or pond. Bonus: they are waterproof and dry with a quick, hard shake--unlike sneakers.
@silvermoonshadow I have never owned a pair of crocs but that cut away beckoned me to want to buy a pair..I think if I wore them I would leave them in 4 wheel drive..haha that is funny but I never thought the inside of crocs where that detailed with all the little bumps and foot tread..I always assumed they wore nothing just flat in the inside.
Leather Crocs would rock! I got married in knock off Crocs because I forgot my good shoes at home three hours away! I figured no one looks at the grooms shoes right? Man was I wrong!
My first pair of crocs were real blue and bought them at a thrift store with tag still on for around the house (country setting with steep gravel driveway), loved them so much and lasted over 10 years. Their website has more than those traditional style crocs, and totally worth the price. Longevity and comfort are things you cant cheap out on.
I work in a medical setting and almost all of us wear this because they are easy to cover and to take on and off when going to icu's and other special areas.
Crocs were originally made for sailing. That's why they're so grippy in wet areas and float. Also the non marking for fiberglass toped boats and the bright colors also make people wearing them easier to find in water or if they fell off it's easier to retrieve them.
No sailor I ever knew would put those things on their feet. I sailed over 35,000 nautical miles and never wore them. Too easy to slip off and trip you while on deck.
I have worked on all kinds of boats, from trawlers to yachts. They were a godsend when you have to stand on deck for long hours, especially on wet decks. I wouldn't wear them on land, but so comfordable when your feet are aching and you have to stand all day or night.

And in a thousand years, long after we are gone, I suspect Archeologists will dig these things out of the ancient landfill - still intact. It would be interesting to see what they think these crazy things were used for = perhaps an ancient torture device.
If I ever see someone walking around with their toes shoved through the front of their Crocs I might cry. This was everything I want out of an April Fool's video and then some, awesome work!
I'm a Crocs fan with multiple pairs, styles (Clogs and Sandals) and colors. I live in a year round warm area, which allows me to wear Crocs every day. My tip, buy end of season, join their club and get coupon codes for the sales (like the 2 for $40, and some for $15 sale now), to get colors or /and styles you don't own and have fun decorating your Crocs, then they'll be one of a kind. Those little bumps inside the shoes not only aid the grip of the shoe, but give you a little foot massage while you wear them. The light weight keeps every pair comfortable, slip resistant, sturdy and wearable for years! Thanx for showing the Clogs construction. I have a few pairs of Want-to-be Crocs, both Clogs and sandals, they are not the same, I'm upset that I don't have the receipt, I would return all 3 pair. Especially the Clogs, they are so heavy, your legs get tired, like you've been wearing weights all day. They sell men's Crocs, if you don't own a pair, buy a pair, become a fan!!
My husband was so disappointed in me when I bought my first pair, 21 years ago. I wore that pair until the soles were paper thin. I love Crocs. They're so comfortable!
Me in May. Shanks in shoes. "Doubt it, but maybe these shoes are just odd" Making Croc Martens. "Sounds like a funny project just for a few nice views." The strap. "Maybe some people don't know. There are a lot of not smart people." The crocs foot pattern in their return policy written in braille. "Okay, this has to be a joke"
I never considered wearing them. They looked like Bratz shoes or giant duck feet. Also, my elderly mother hated the sight of them and would have given me hell if I wore such a thing. Now, sadly, she is gone. On the bright side, I own 3 pairs of Crocs and they are the most comfortable shoes EVER.
Crocs is a fun brand really. I currently work for them and I'm honestly surprised how generous they are as a company not only to the healthcare industry, but to their employees as well. I wear the hell out of my KFC crocs because they're hilarious and lots of people enjoy seeing such a unique shoe (plus the chicken Jibbitz smells like fried chicken)
@@catbrat610 They’re really not dinner party attire, but once you use some around the house and in the yard only then will you realize how comfortable they are and why so many people love them. My wife hates them but has never had a pair on which doesn’t figure in a man’s mind. 😂
@Martin Persson So can Amazon and they still treat their warehouse workers like garbage someone threw on their doorstep, so. It's not a matter of just affording it, clearly.
I just started wearing them a month ago, very comfortable and happy with them so far. They have a nice shiny finish on the inside that is not porous and doesn’t absorb sweat which is very nice to prevent them from getting smelly.
I’m following along. “Yeah, he has some good points.” My eyebrows raised at the “Braille.” Then the cat claws... You got me. 😉 (Hell, does anyone know what day it is right now?)

Crocs and similar shoes fuck up my feet and cause a lot of pain (i have too flexible joints): I'm envious of people who can just have a uniform slab of foam as shoes like this.
yes please, and also review their "rugged and resilient" leather version. They really don't specify what kind of leather it really is and what is so important about it.

Burrito Supreme toaster be like, “I’m out”. 😂
Funniest part of the video
i think he was trying to get to his food ha ha
@@RoseAnvil Is Toaster a Selkirk?
CAT!!
Hahahaha!!! Braille return policy is gold. Rose Anvil is a legend 😂
i always referred the "sport" and "all terrain" mode as 'Attack" and "Defense" mode
If I ever see someone walking around with their toes shoved through the front of their Crocs I might cry. This was everything I want out of an April Fool's video and then some, awesome work!
Croc Martens yell yeah! Throw in a smidge of Birkenstock and we have my footwear trifecta
Crocs, Docs and Stocks 😎
he must have died 20 times trying to keep a poker face delivering dead serious feature description without laughing his brains out
You literally made me wanna get a pair of crocs, how?
Lol same here, but I dont want anyone to see me wearing them lol
You are missing out on life. Crocs are awesome
“Are you willing to buy the status that comes with crocs?”
My favourite bit!
I didn’t realise it was an April fools joke. It’s way past midday here.
Tbh I think people just use the whole day now, I can't remember the last time I heard someone mention it's only supposed to be until noon
April second in half of the world but obviously the Earth's flat and we don't exist
I didn't know it ended at noon either
I laughed out loud every time you said 4 wheel drive mode. Hahaha. I love watching your video man.
Enjoying the reviews but I'm in all honesty here for the cat :) Love the way you treat it
Man, I can really feel your passion in every shoe, even these little known boating shoes.
My husband was so disappointed in me when I bought my first pair, 21 years ago. I wore that pair until the soles were paper thin. I love Crocs. They're so comfortable!
21 years ago? Are crocs that old??...wow

Me in May.
Shanks in shoes. "Doubt it, but maybe these shoes are just odd"
Making Croc Martens. "Sounds like a funny project just for a few nice views."
The strap. "Maybe some people don't know. There are a lot of not smart people."
The crocs foot pattern in their return policy written in braille. "Okay, this has to be a joke"
Perfect summary
Agreeing in July, lol
Just bought some crocs. They look goofy af, but people who wear them claim their feet never hurt. I would like my feet to never hurt.
Love mine -- so comfy.
Yep. Hate them but according to my chiropractor it's the one shoe I should wear. Took my low back pain away....damn it. Now I own 5 pair. So ugly!

Thanks Crocs for donating some crocs to our nurses and doctors during this pandemic .👌🏽👏🏽
im convinced hes making this up as he goes

@@IsomerMashups I know it’s a joke, but I feel like it’s not a scripted joke
Crocs is a fun brand really. I currently work for them and I'm honestly surprised how generous they are as a company not only to the healthcare industry, but to their employees as well. I wear the hell out of my KFC crocs because they're hilarious and lots of people enjoy seeing such a unique shoe (plus the chicken Jibbitz smells like fried chicken)
I am a fan of crocs and it’s very nice to hear that it’s a great company to work for. 👍🏻
Please ask if they can make then a bit less ugly - maybe not look like clown shoes. 🤷♀️
I guess they can afford it, since they manufacture "shoes" at, like, $0,5 and retail then at $45! Lol
I loved the ' idea' of the returns spec. The look on the cats face was classic!!. Look forward to next year's.
🤣🤣🤣
"Return policy written in Brail" - that was hilarious!!
Who cares if this is April Fool's joke, I love my crocs as a substitute for slippers at home. Easily washable, always ready to use and really soft - love my crocs
Crocs and similar shoes fuck up my feet and cause a lot of pain (i have too flexible joints): I'm envious of people who can just have a uniform slab of foam as shoes like this.
Yea - they have their place. They are awesome boat / lake shoes for sure too.
Big croc energy
I agree love them! I bought my kids, my niece, and nephews some.
I swear mine as house shoes too. Comfy, washable, breathable 😆
this is the best April fools joke I've experienced in my entire life
I love your humour. From now on when I’m explaining what “those” are I will be able to share the hidden features for extra clout. Genius.
Absolutely Make the Croc-Martens. That would be hysterical!
What sort of products would you recommend for taking care of crocs?? .... Mink oil would be no good ..... Gator oil maybe??
Oh you're good. You're very good. How many takes? The braille thing actually got me, sadly. I'm a gulli-bull. Hilarious!
each section took me at least 4 tries
@@RoseAnvil I think that I can speak for everyone and say, 'Thank you for your perseverance' 👍
I've been wearing the same two pairs of Crocs for over 10 years. Everyone I know hates them. I like them.
I was laughing so hard at you saying to use your pinky toe to grip the dirt as you’re climbing up a hill.
Maybe do a Thursday Boot Company Captain? Or their “weatherproof” suede dukes?
Yeah! Anything by Thursday I'd love to see. Or Becket Simonon.
yes please, and also review their "rugged and resilient" leather version. They really don't specify what kind of leather it really is and what is so important about it.
I ageee!
I would like to do them too but i want to do redwing first because, thursday was created basically as a direct response to their prices at least that's what ive heard
