Ken sorry I didn’t get to see you run as I was busy at the car show . I was asked to help judge and seeing how my car is in the Bodyshop I thought why not . Well the M/T SS tires I bought will still be new next season.
She sure is consistent! Very interesting how Darrel has your shift points set, it might just be the way the Tach shows it. The 1-2 shift appears to be at a lower RPM. The 3-4 is really hard, think that's when the axle let go. Those 6R80s can sure bang the gears with good tune.
2/3 is when the axle went. The reason they seem real harsh is it briefly breaks the tires loose on the shift. You notice the one run after the axle install it seemed smoother. It didn’t break the tires loose on the shift. Yea I love the 6r80’s.
What all is done to this car ken I have a 2021 5.0 stang. Looking at the whipple 3.0. I want to be in the low 10s or Atleast what you are runnin. So far I have stainless works headers Carly deleat x pipe and tune Haven’t ran it yet at the track
This car had stage 2 whipple kit with corsa catback with a drag wheel setup on 93 tune and full weight. Stock headers and cats were still on the car. Very simple setup.
You could ask your tuner to take some wam bam out of the 2-3 shift, really almost all of the shifts were a little overly harsh IMO, but it was hitting so hard on every run 2-3 shift it broke the axle on the shift! lol! On your first pass 1-2 shift i thought "well that's a touch harsh" and then i saw the following 2-3 and I immediately felt bad for your trans! It's beating up on everything driveline wise from driveshaft u-joints to trans hard parts my friend! The planetary gearset only have a thin and fairly soft thrust washer to absorb minor abuse and keep the planet gears from binding. Those repeated harsh on coming clutch shifts will beat them until they get squeeze out!

Are the replacement half shafts the same quality as the old or are they beefier?

Axle breaks...still runs a 10!!
Thankfully we had the parts to fix it to get them passes in.
