Important tip: when changing the headlights: take note of the of the stock headlight aim for reference before you get it off the vehicle. New headlights are almost never aimed properly out of the box, making the beam pattern too low (can’t see a thing) or too high (blinding traffic). A good way to do this is to either point the vehicle at a flat wall with the stock headlights on and either: A) mark the tops of the beams with some tape. or B) install one new headlight and adjust its beam to match the remaining old headlight. Then replace he second headlight and match it up with the first.
Yeah Buddy! That's was the whole goal of this and I'm glad it worked so well... wait till you see the next video of this truck out in the mountains... looks very good!
Jason you have one of my absolute favorite channels on youtube. Your videos have always been of a fantastic nature, in depth, of fantastic quality. Keep them coming!
I've gotta say, I wasn't a fan of the lights on the bench. But seeing them installed on the truck they look great! They all work so well with the paint on the truck. Thing looks mean! Nice going.
Thanks! That was the plan all along and part of the fun when looking through all the lights on the JCWhitney website... lots to choose from but only a few really seemed "right" for what I wanted. Of course they were some of the most expensive ones but hey, no one said looking rad was cheap!
Thanks! Let me make one recommendation, don't get the Anza headlights... the Oracle headlights are much better BUT those tail lights are Awesome! Still love them!
I have a 2017 Rebel and there is a little door in my fender skirt that allows me to open for access to the tab with out removing the trees that hold the skirt to the fender. Also you can get to the lower bolt without removing the grille, you just need longer extensions.
Looks great! I love Anzo! They have came a long way with their quality and I’m looking forward to their release of the switchback headlights for the 17+ Superduty so I can snag a pair. Your truck is bad ass, I love the 4th gen Dodges and yours is too unique not to like 🤘🏼
Hey brother, Appreciate all your Dodge Ram videos. I have a 2004 Laramie 1500 named the Red Beast. Looks like crap but drives like a dream. Doing all the needed maintenance and repairs before I swap out the old transmission and a needed paint job. If you ever need a Dodge truck to work on (especially transmission swap) I'd gladly join the fun your having. All the best #FromSFV
Vicks lmao a 2004 ram and your bragging on TH-cam about it haha and you make it sound like the biggest piece of shit ever. Congrats, you own a 15 year old beat down truck worth maybe $3,500 haha
I will, for sure the tail lights are absolutely great... I'm still tinkering on the headlights... I have a bit of adjusting to do on them and will report here.
Your truck is so fricken awesome man! I get so excited every time you post a new video on your truck! Haha And then I start planning more ideas for mine! Lol Keep it up! Cheers!!!!
Haha!!!!! She’s like a little buzz saw and just demolishes toys so sometimes I wait a while between purchases! I never checked into that patreon thingy
autoedit I have two border collies so I know all about destruction and buzz saws!! We’ve gone away from tennis balls and throw lacrosse balls. Thy are solid and seem to be indestructible. I haven’t found a soccer ball that will last longer than a weekend though!!!! Love the channel.
You push'd me over the edge, I'm ordering some LEDs for my Vehicle now. err... Right after I pay my insurance. btw, can't wait to see the video of your off road adventure and to get a full carnage list.
LOL! Yeah, some of these are pretty expensive but seems like most stuff for our vehicles are. I'm thinking of getting started on the off road adventure video later today!
Hey Autoedit, big fan! But I have an ideal for you. Why not remove the stock rear bumper and add one like the front? The truck is beautiful but don’t you think if you put a offroad bumper on there it would be just a pinch bit perfect
Great job brother! This truck is looking much better. Thanks for info on where you purchased your lights. I have a 08 Silverado and and planning on modernizing a bit too!
That is a bummer that Jeep parts are so expensive down there. Is it the shipping that makes the price so high? Thanks so much for the support here on the channel!!!
Hank Williams Jr used to have a custom '86 Dodge pick-up named Bocephus. It had a cocktail bar built into the dash..... Maybe take some cues from that truck for your next modification ?
Excellent video as always Jason!! I’m definitely going to look into those lights for my 05 Ram. I don’t remember if you did a video about the front bumper, is that one you built or from a kit? I want to do the same for my truck
I am not sure and it might just be me but when you put the truck in reverse the reverse lights on the 3rd brake light did not come on if that makes sense. If I am wrong ignore me, and I may be late because I did not read many comments so But I love the look the new lights give the truck. Congrats
You got yourself a new subscriber not just because you have good informational videos but also because you drive a Dodge instead of a Chevy or Ford hahahaha 👍💪
autoedit glad u actually use ur truck how a truck is supposed to be used tho! They r work horses!.. checkout my trucks! Subscribe if u like. Thanks man
I have a 2017 stock ram 1500 4x4 bighorn and looking for a reliable offroad shop to do a full suspension upgrade like the video you did on the 2009 ram....I'm in orange county
dude I love what you have done to this beast, nice job!!! I really like the tail lights, now I looked at the link you have provided, do they come with the resistor? also did you call Anzo directly for the purchase?
Great video. Awesome truck. Are those headlights plenty bright compared to your stock. Will I need HID installed to make them brighter. I just bought them. Should be delivered in a few days.
Hey bud, I see you posted this a while ago. So you may be able to answer a question for me. I’ve got a 2017 Ram I could buy a set of these to put in. But, how have the headlights held up? Any kind of fogging or flickering on the lights? Are you using any kind of LED or HID setup for the primary bulb? Then last but not least, once you got them adjusted, how is the light compared to the stock lights? Thanks for taking the time to respond, the lights look great. Glad to see them on a truck, otherwise these would’ve been off my list haha.
Here's the honest review... I love the looks of the headlights but they are not great at making light. I'm going to order LED bulbs for them and swap out what they came with and see if that makes it better. Otherwise, they have been good and again... I really like the looks of them. Here's my real stand out favorite... those tail lights!!! I love them and they look and work fantastic.... major upgrade over stock!!!!
Awesome, good to know and honest review of them and to hear what to be expecting on them. They look really clean and I can say I like those taillights as well. Thank you for the reply!
@@AutoEdits thanks!! they're nice and meaty! I currently have Cooper Discoverer AT3 Sports (European model) and they're horrible! Look nice but handle like shit, don't work well in snow and aren't better than regular winter tires offroad... Really thinking about switching out the stock 20" rims for nicer 17" rims and tires, I like a fatter looking tire :)
Hi, quick question. I love the tailights and want to order some, but i was curious if the intermediate wire harness and resistors came with the tail lights? or did you have to get those separately somewhere.
Hey Jason. Do you still work for MotorTrend? It's always fun to see one of your cars in the background of some shots and noting your name in the credits.
I don't work there anymore but I'm so thrilled to hear that you noticed all the times I was able to sneak a vehicle in the background of those shows. It was fun for a long time and I learned a ton there!
I've had the same problem trying to find some for my 98. I have found a few that were neither Lightning nor Euro, but that was before I was ready to buy the lights. Now that I am, I can't find them. But they are in fact out there, just gotta search for them.
They will fit... you may have to switch a wire or two too make the brake light and running light correct... Ram did some wiring harness changes in those years... I'm very happy with them.
Does the Anzo third brake light leak? I've had three GO Recon third brake lights on three spereate RAM trucks and they ALL leaked. I started looking at Anzo but was worried about the same issue. Thanks.
Good questions. No condensation at all on any of the lights so that's a good review. I still absolutely love the tail lights but the H6 bulb in the headlights is not very good. Only negative of this upgrade.
Important tip: when changing the headlights: take note of the of the stock headlight aim for reference before you get it off the vehicle. New headlights are almost never aimed properly out of the box, making the beam pattern too low (can’t see a thing) or too high (blinding traffic).

A) mark the tops of the beams with some tape.
or
B) install one new headlight and adjust its beam to match the remaining old headlight. Then replace he second headlight and match it up with the first.
This is great information... they did come out of the box aimed low!
Thanks!
Great information thank you going to be replacing them very soon
Now that I’m buying a 2012 Ram 1500 2WD, I appreciate these Ram videos more lol
I gotta say the biggest thing i have learned from all your videos. Now i always clean the area more thoroughly than i had in the past.
HA! Sorry for passing my OCD on to you a little... but the good part of that is kind of staying caught up on that...LOL!
You are awesome for showing these simple installs. My husband is getting me into off-roading and I know I could make this upgrade. Thank you!
Wonderful to hear from ya! Yes you can do this to your Jeep and have fun "tinkering"
I totally recommend it as a bonding experience...lol!
Those lights really fit the truck, especially with the unique paint job!
I agree! Thanks a bunch for watching and saying so!
Those lights really compliment the paint scheme. Well done!
Appreciate that, I like them so far.
Amazing how just a couple lights can change the look of the entire truck! Awesome!
Yeah Buddy! That's was the whole goal of this and I'm glad it worked so well... wait till you see the next video of this truck out in the mountains... looks very good!
I'm not sure how I happened across your channel but I'm glad I did!
Well, I'm really glad you did as well. Welcome and I'll do my best to entertain!
I own a 2010 Ram TRX4 so it's right up my alley. Thank you for the work!
Yeah that's nice. That old truck really has some character.
Thanks so much... I really do love this thing!
Jason you have one of my absolute favorite channels on youtube. Your videos have always been of a fantastic nature, in depth, of fantastic quality. Keep them coming!
Wow, Thanks so much! Awesome to hear from you and I'm stoked you like the channel.
I subscribed for the Jeep videos and now I’m addicted to the Ram updates. Great work man!
Awesome to hear! Glad you like this thing, I really do too!
I've gotta say, I wasn't a fan of the lights on the bench. But seeing them installed on the truck they look great! They all work so well with the paint on the truck. Thing looks mean! Nice going.

Really nice upgrade. She had come back to life
I love that you actually clean the inside of your vehicles. It shows you care man (and it would bother me if you left everything dirty too soooo).
I'm super happy to hear you appreciate that! Thanks so much for taking a minute and being awesome!!!
dude i love this channel and it’s helping me make critical modding decisions on my ram
Good tip. Thanks!
All of our 2017s have it, it’s also a good hidey hole nobody knows about lol
Looks great! I love Anzo! They have came a long way with their quality and I’m looking forward to their release of the switchback headlights for the 17+ Superduty so I can snag a pair. Your truck is bad ass, I love the 4th gen Dodges and yours is too unique not to like 🤘🏼
Woot! Awesome to hear! Superduty is winning for sure!
Nice truck ! I installed jw speakers headlights on my jeep and it just completely changes the look !
I'm thinking about those for my Jeep, thanks!
Smoked lenses are ALWAYS the way to go
Hey brother, Appreciate all your Dodge Ram videos.
I just replaced the transmission solenoid block in the truck so hopefully that will give me a few more miles out of this transmission.
Vicks lmao a 2004 ram and your bragging on TH-cam about it haha and you make it sound like the biggest piece of shit ever. Congrats, you own a 15 year old beat down truck worth maybe $3,500 haha
Another awesome update. Let us know how much of an improvement it is at night. And the smoked lens looks great.
I will, for sure the tail lights are absolutely great... I'm still tinkering on the headlights... I have a bit of adjusting to do on them and will report here.
Your truck looks good with the light update
Yes! thanks
I love this truck. I cringed when I saw what the rocks did to it on Instagram post! I am sure you will fix it up again!
So glad you saw that... it's going to be a really great video of that trip!
Jason awesome video as always...btw the power stop road to sema series was awesome.
Thanks! Glad to hear you caught that... episode 6 went up yesterday and is the most fun and has great wheeling.
autoedit already watched it!!! Wish I could go on a trip like that! Maybe one day
Jason, if the day ever comes to where you completely change up the front end, I’ll happily buy that bumper off your Ram!
Copy that, but I love that bumper as well... really makes the truck unique.
Amazing Jason! “Bolth bolts” LOL
LOL! You crazy man!
Those lights look sharp.
Thanks it took some time to pick just the right stuff!
autoedit I'd say you chose very well.
Awesome! The truck looks more aggressive now.
YES! That was the goal and I'm happy when I get out and look at it!
I'm generally not a fan of the smoke light look but I gotta admit it does look good. 👍
I'm with you on that. I really thought about this application and picked stuff for each spot accordingly and am happy so far!
Your truck is so fricken awesome man! I get so excited every time you post a new video on your truck! Haha And then I start planning more ideas for mine! Lol Keep it up! Cheers!!!!
Thanks!
Love your truck man, was towing with a friend and happened to see it outside of your house
Cool!
How much would you let those headlights go for ?
Do you mean the stock lights? Because they are kinda scratched up but I still have them.
Yes the stock lights mine has dual not much of a fan
You can have the stock ones from this truck, no problem. When would like to get them?
Alright man, Pinto deserves a new soccer ball. If you need a patreon to buy a ball, I’ll do it!!!
Love your videos man, and your passion for the cars.
Thanks so much for appreciating that... I do genuinely love this stuff!
It does need a cool rear bumper... any suggestions?
Thanks for watching!
Is not an Autoedit/Jason video unless there is some quick cleaning involved. Great video brother.
Thanks so much!
Great job brother! This truck is looking much better. Thanks for info on where you purchased your lights. I have a 08 Silverado and and planning on modernizing a bit too!
Thanks! Yeah, it makes it nice every time I go out to drive it and see the new stuff on there.
autoedit most definitely!
Very nice truck for off roading
It's a ton of fun for sure!
You should get led license plate bulbs and interior bulbs and get stubby antennae, also get LED headlight bulbs fix dents, and remove big round lights.
You are talented Jason. Awesome video. Wish I could kit out my jk like yours. But here in Australia parts cost too much
That is a bummer that Jeep parts are so expensive down there. Is it the shipping that makes the price so high?
Thanks so much for the support here on the channel!!!
Really nice transformation
Glad you like it, thanks for watching!
I really appreciate your response :)
Hank Williams Jr used to have a custom '86 Dodge pick-up named Bocephus. It had a cocktail bar built into the dash..... Maybe take some cues from that truck for your next modification ?
That's hilarious... I think I'll stick to making it perform better first and then move on to some other "trail necessities" !
I love watching your videos! Great install video Jason
Jason, did you just sing a Nelly song? My grillle!! My guy!
Why YES I did!!! So awesome you noticed that. Thanks for the smile
The truck is looking great with all the updates. Maybe a rear bumper is next?
Thanks! I'm not sure... who makes a bumper for this thing?
The first thing I did was upgrade my horn on my 2002 Dodge Durango. lol! They sell some good ones in AutoZone.
I'm more of a titan kinda guy but man you have one sweeettt ram.
Thanks, I like it a lot!
Uno - Dos ... love your videos!
Thanks so much!!!
Looks amazing, love your video’s Jason
Thanks so much, you rule!
Waaay awesome the whole look of the lights look bad ass man its looks more mean
That was the plan! Thanks so much for checking it out!
THE LIGHTS LOOK GREAT QUESTION HOW DID YOU GO ABOUT GETTING YOUR TRUCK LEVEL
It has adjustable coil springs in the front and I just moved them up 1 inch.
Haha nice video Jason. By the way lit means smoking😂keep up the good videos
OOPS! I'm gettin' old... lol
autoedit lol😂
usually adding newer style lights to older trucks makes it look cheesy and ugly but these look awesome!
I agree and took serious effort in picking product that made me happy to look at on this body style!
i would agree. It has everything to do with selecting the proper lights that fit the body style and COLOR of the vehicle. ;)
You can’t tell it’s an older truck until the 2019 model, that helps. Besides all the flash it looks like my 2017
That Ram looks great. What size lift and tires are on it?
Thanks! No lift on the Ram yet and those are Falken Wildpeak MT 37x12.5R17 tires
It change a lot with the new headlights ! Honestly I would paint the whole truck, I really don’t like the current paint job !
New paint is not going to happen for a while. The list of mechanical things to fix and upgrade happens first then paint!
U r completely right !
Looks so cool i liked
Well thanks, I liked your like!
Nice set up. I've got the Spyder LEDs all around my 09 Ram, but which front bumper are you running?
Thanks and keep up the awesome work..!
Mark
Thanks, the bumper is custom from a shop in AZ and they don't do them anymore.
Excellent video as always Jason!! I’m definitely going to look into those lights for my 05 Ram. I don’t remember if you did a video about the front bumper, is that one you built or from a kit? I want to do the same for my truck
Thanks! That bumper was made by Randy Ellis Designs and I think they still offer one for your truck as well.
I am not sure and it might just be me but when you put the truck in reverse the reverse lights on the
3rd brake light did not come on if that makes sense.
If I am wrong ignore me, and I may be late because I did not read many comments so
But I love the look the new lights give the truck. Congrats
Looks Awesome 👍
Yeah buddy!
You got yourself a new subscriber not just because you have good informational videos but also because you drive a Dodge instead of a Chevy or Ford hahahaha 👍💪
Badass lights! Badass truck! Just needs Berliner lol bed looks beat
Thanks dude! yes it needs a little work on the body.
autoedit glad u actually use ur truck how a truck is supposed to be used tho! They r work horses!.. checkout my trucks! Subscribe if u like. Thanks man
Ja ja, es braucht ein Berliner! ;)
Like replace big round lights for thin long led light bars.
I have a 2017 stock ram 1500 4x4 bighorn and looking for a reliable offroad shop to do a full suspension upgrade like the video you did on the 2009 ram....I'm in orange county
Easy, OC Motorsports
Great install and done quickly, I want to know, did you play to much baseball and shoulder is broken, or you played soccer?
I like kicking stuff I guess... lol
Another great video!
Awesome to hear!
Jason have you considered upgrading the headlights with an HID conversion ?
They look really good, actually they look like dodge did it at factory........pretty pricey tho I bet.....was was cost for all lights?
Looks amazing 👍👍
Thanks!
Yeeesss finally LED
Who makes that little light mount on the bed? Looks good!
How come you don't have to add a resistor to the front turn signals? Does ANZO build them in? Those are nice looking lights!
They must be built in on the front... kind of what I would expect at that price point though. Makes it nice for the install for sure!
Sure does! Good Stuff! Love the videos!
Thanks dude!
Do some lighting upgrades on the jeep!!!
Going to happen for sure, just waiting to figure out the right one for me!
How do you adjust those headlights? I really like the way they look, and the tail lights especially.
There's a screw in the same spot as on the stock units but I'm still figuring it out.
dude I love what you have done to this beast, nice job!!! I really like the tail lights, now I looked at the link you have provided, do they come with the resistor? also did you call Anzo directly for the purchase?
Here's a link on Summit racing for the tail lights
www.summitracing.com/search?SortBy=BestKeywordMatch&SortOrder=Ascending&keyword=311274
I think pinto needs new ball
keith hodge I thought that as well
HAHA! Yes she does... thanks!
Should put weather strip on 3rd break light stop leaks
It hasn't yet
now you just did what i want
Awesome.... get going!
Great video. Awesome truck. Are those headlights plenty bright compared to your stock. Will I need HID installed to make them brighter. I just bought them. Should be delivered in a few days.
I would recommend a brighter bulb before you install these lights. They look great but need to be brigher.
What size bulbs did you put in to make it brighter. Which one did you put in (part#, brand, etc.)?
Did you just change the low beam only?
I haven't done the swap yet but they are H9 halgoen bulbs in there now so any LED replacement for that would be good.
Thanks.
That front bumper is badass, it's shop made custom I'd assume.
Randy Ellis Designs
autoedit dam thax! Truck looks great, what engine mods have you done? Oil catch can? Any hemi realiblty mods?
Hey bud, I see you posted this a while ago. So you may be able to answer a question for me. I’ve got a 2017 Ram I could buy a set of these to put in.

Awesome, good to know and honest review of them and to hear what to be expecting on them. They look really clean and I can say I like those taillights as well. Thank you for the reply!
This is awesome eBay special :)
what kind of tires are these? they look awesome!!!
Those are Falken Wildpeak MT and I have a lot of miles on them and LOVE THEM!
@@AutoEdits thanks!! they're nice and meaty! I currently have Cooper Discoverer AT3 Sports (European model) and they're horrible! Look nice but handle like shit, don't work well in snow and aren't better than regular winter tires offroad...

Im surprised you didnt clean the back of the grill X3
Almost did...LOL!!!
Hi, quick question. I love the tailights and want to order some, but i was curious if the intermediate wire harness and resistors came with the tail lights? or did you have to get those separately somewhere.
Yes the tail lights came complete.
Different question for you...what outer shirt are you wearing here? Love the vids and love that shirt lol
It's a hand-me-down from an old friend... don't know the brand but it is comfy.
Was anyone else watching the bird feeder expecting to see a cat sneak up and get a snack?
Look good, look shark 👍👍👍..
THANK Sr
Thanks a bunch!
I think you meant to say Shart
Did you just try to do an impression of The Count from Sesame Street or was that a Tim Allen Home Improvement RR? LOL😂
6:06
Yes!!! Glad you go that! It was The Count... lol
Did all the parts come with the correct wiring. I just order some smoked LED C taillights
I swapped what they had for brake and tail light for my preference.
Nice upgrade. How is the illumination from the headlights compared to stock? They didn't look very bright?
I still need to adjust them and that was the low beams. I'll do a bit more work on them and report back later.
Where did you get that rack on the bed of the truck? Really like it
It's custom made.
Have you ever changed the mirror lights? I am having a hell of a time figuring this out...
Not yet.
Get new horns for the Ram make it sound mean!
I wish they made headlamps for my 02 f150 that did not look like the lightning or the euro style
That is exactly the trick... to find the right ones. Not tacky but cool! Maybe check a few other brands on the JCWhitney site, like spyder?
I've had the same problem trying to find some for my 98. I have found a few that were neither Lightning nor Euro, but that was before I was ready to buy the lights. Now that I am, I can't find them. But they are in fact out there, just gotta search for them.
Will those tail lights fit on a 2011 Ram 1500 just wondering? I looked on the website and it said 2013-2018.
Thanks.
2nd review? Do they get condensation in the housing at all? I see a lot of reviews where it has issues with condensation, or bulb defects from Anzo
Good questions. No condensation at all on any of the lights so that's a good review. I still absolutely love the tail lights but the H6 bulb in the headlights is not very good. Only negative of this upgrade.
Have you found any compatible upgrade bulbs for this?
Not yet... need help on this one... I love the look of them otherwise but the low beams are just about useless and I expect more at this price point.
Late seeing this but where's the bar with the 2 lights on it from
