So to make sure that I understand what you’re saying correctly, you’re using a V mount battery to power everything through the hub? Can this also be done with something like an Anker power bank instead?
Yes, that's what I'm demoing in this video. Everything in the thumbnail (monitor, camera, transmitter, receiver) powered via a v-mount battery. Obviously it depends on the wattage used by the devices and types of connections (IE: there is only one USB-C port on the hub so if you are powering it via USB-C then you can't be outputting on USB-C at the same time as that port is in use), and if your USB-C power bank only supports 30w then you couldn't attach a simultaneous load of 60w. What are you wanting to power from the power bank?
@@Isaac_Insoll Just an A7S III and/or an FX3 with a Ninja V. Obviously, each camera is separate. I want to get crazy long battery life, but V-Mounts are silly expensive to buy.
Hi, thanks for the video. I've got one question. If I want to power my monitor using sony L dummy to dtap, and my FX3 using usb c, is that safe not to use the nano hub, and connect both devices directly to the nano battery?
If you haven’t bought a v mount yet and just want a USB PD port definitely get a battery with that built in. This is just good if you have a V mount already without USB PD or are wanting the other DC ports
Where did you get your DC barrel to DC barrel cable?
I just searched something like dc 2025 barrel on eBay. There was a bunch of no-name brand ones there.
Great video! What size SmallRig nato rail did you use?
It's the
SmallRig Mini Quick Release NATO Rail (48mm) 2172
I'll update the description too, thanks :)

If you power the hub via USB-C then you can’t use that port to power the FX3. You could use the USB-A to trickle charge it though
@@Isaac_Insoll Ah, ok, that makes sense. Thanks for the help!

Honestly I have no idea sorry. I’ve got a dummy battery on order so will test it out at some stage
Great overview, you convinced me. But I can't find it in the US.
NVM, Amazon has it, just had to refine search. You should get an affiliate link.
Ooh yep, good idea thanks
Hey, can you share what you search! This is perfect but I can’t find it on Amazon?!?
Hey, can you please list the USB meter used in this video, thank you :)
Just search eBay for “TC66 USB” and you will find it 🔥 thanks for watching!
did they discontinue the sale of this?
or should i just get their v mount batteries with usb integrated ?
