@imsims-is6hq That might be true for the naked PC itself, but please respect that it comes with preinstalled Win11 Pro, ton of emulators and games, a decent wireless controller,… You may find it cheaper at AliExpress.

Hi dude, Gamecube didn‘t run well after a few tests, but PS2 runs almost perfect. I‘m currently plying around with Batocera on this device and it‘s a real game changer. I will come with a video about it after i‘m done with all tests.
Great video MashTec! One of the main issues I've encountered with KinHank devices is the number of duplicate games on the device, how did this build fare? The game emulation performance seemed decent, I'm impressed that Wii U and Switch played as well as they did. Seems like a good step for KinHank in-general. Without a doubt, your attention to detail is un-matched in presentation and delivery. Excellent job, my friend!
Thank you for your feedback Jon. Always appreciated :) Indeed there are lot‘s of "duplicates" coming with this machine so the absolute number of games beed to be reduced by about 30%. It depends on what you call a duplicate. Some games are available in different versions and languages USA, EU, JAPAN. Since this gets shipped internationally some people might be happy to find a favorite game in their native language. And you can always sort out duplicates from the drive if you like. I was also impressed by the gaming performance of this machine especially when it comes to demanding systems like PS3 and Switch. Thanks for watching, looking forward to your next video my friend! :)
Hi my dear sir. Thanks a lot for this wonderful review. I have been looking for a device /mini pc / raspberry pi that I can buy with everything prepared just to plug and play. According to this video this mini pc from Kinkhank is not a good option. Do you recommend a better option? Raspberry Pi5 for example? Do you have a video in your channel for this? Thanks a lot in advance. (I am currently using a retropie 3B+ with a 400GB tapdra sd card with everything prepared and I have been looking for an update, but I haven't found something that has convinced me. Hopefully you can give me a light :) )
Hello my friend, I'm glad you found my video. This MiniPC (Kinhank MP100) is more for people that are looking for a pre-configured All-In-One solution. It comes with a decent system (CPU and RAM), Pre-Configured Retrobat Frontend, good wireless controller and a licensed Win11 Pro OS (so you could also use it for private work). I installed Batocera to this machine and the emulation power change is day and night. Seems like the Win11 OS plus Retrobat App already use too much resources for this thing to run emulation at its best. If you are looking for a dedicated retro gaming station, this might not be the right thing for you. I looked up a different MiniPC that is much stronger from BeeLink on AliExpress for you. It's around $300 but comes with much more performance (see here: shorturl.at/lufzY). Setting this thing up for retro gaming requires some tech savvy skills, but you seem to me like you are familiar with this stuff since you setup the RetroPi on your own. Still, if you already have a RaspberryPi setup (maybe with RetroPi?) it might be the easiest may to upgrade it a Pi5 indeed. Your configuration and Game setup can remain, but you can add some juice to systems that don't run well for you atm.
I can see a lot of stuttering and screen tearing on your PS2 and PSP gameplay. Is this due to your video capture? Or does the gameplay look the same as your capture?
Hi Wizdude and thanks for your feedback. As i was watching the video again on TH-cam i recognized the same. As i tested the games there was no stuttering in video or sound. It seems like my video capture card added these interrupts :( (cheap 10$ USB Stick). Actually the only system inrecognized screen tearing was on Sega Dreamcast, playing Marvel vs. Capcom. All other systems ran perfectly good except the high end systems (PS3, Wii, Wii u and Switch)
@@Badger8200 Indeed, i plan to come up with a follow-up video about this. Unfortunately these Ready-To-Go systems ain‘t pre-configured very well when it comes to emulation settings and tweaks. Most come with just common or default settings that are not optimized.
@@MashTec thanks for letting me know. I thought it may have been the capture card because you weee commenting on some systems that it was really good. Thanks for the video. Cheers 😀
I've seen some reviewers adjust the power settings to performance instead of balance and updated the driver's for the device. Just wondering if you did that when you were testing the PC?
@@anthony75509 Hey dude and thanks for your post. I set the general performance settings to performance wich include the power settings. I also did a a driver update at the very beginning when i started the device for the first time. Actually there is a driver manager running that asks to update any driver that is not up to date ;) But all this is not leading to huge improvements. Meanwhile i experimented more with this device and it unleashed it‘s full power as i installed batocera on it (natively running retro gaming frontend incl. all kind of emulators). That step was a real game-changer i can tell you :) systems run so much faster like this as more resources are available for emulation since the overhead of the Windows 11 OS is gone. A significant improvement! I plan to show all necessary steps in a follow-up video, that i had no time to start with yet (but will come on my channel)
Hey dude, thanks for your question. I wanted to play around with the settings and make a follow-up video to show how to tweak them for better performance. Unfortunately i haven‘t found the time to dive into it yet. But still, to answer your question, you can change the core. As far as i see it supports Mupen and Parallel core. Meanwhile i started looking into performance improvements. I installed Batocera to a stick and use it with this powerhouse. And so far everyhing works way better and smoother. E.g. N64 007 Goldeneye now works smooth as butter. It‘s a day and night difference!
Hey dude, what connector does your controller have? USB and Bluetooth will work directly with this box. If you have any other connector on your controller there might be an adaptor to USB you could use. Thanks to the small form factor this Mini PC definitely is a good choice to build it into a cabinet 👍🏻
Hi Klodian, the out of box performance of this device is moderate for PS3. I‘m sure that PES 2013 will run, but i‘m not sure if it will be playable with high fps (around 60). I installed Batocera to it and the performance increased a lot. Unfortunately i haven‘t added any PS3 games, otherwise i could test it for you and prove it. If i get it to run for a test, i come back to you here.
