    Thanks for sharing the great footage. I like the real swiss music giving it an authentic feel to your trip😊. We are headed to zermatt 1st week June 2023 - our first there but 4th trip to Switzerland. Loved the Bernese Oberland Wengen area and returned twice. The last trip we did in 2018 was to the Engadin area Sils Maria and Pontresina. Gorgeous views again especially the horse carriage ride into the end of the Fex Valley. All the best!

    Stunning video....is there any snow related activity at Matterhorn glacier paradise in summer like snow tubing etc?

    • @AbroadReachTravel
      @AbroadReachTravel  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! We personally didn't ski or snow tube but that option is available and according to the Glacier Paradise website is open all year but the time table page says it is closed today (www.matterhornparadise.ch/en/Current-news/Timetable) so you may want to contact them to be sure!

    Having done both a few times, I totally agree with you! Plus, the Ice Palace at Jungfraujoch is much better.

      But u could do these both right and still pay way less than jungfraujoch? Why is jungfrau so expensive?

      @@fahdzaa check the site. It just got more expensive. New prices released

    Do either of these destinations feel better suited for a person in a Wheelchair/scooter (who can stand up to transfer, if necessary)? Realize you may not have paid attention to that, but thought I'd ask!

    • @AbroadReachTravel
      @AbroadReachTravel  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Donnie Goodson Hi Donnie! I would say that Gornergrat is probably better suited. The paths at the upper most station are all pretty wide and either pavers or hard packed. However I just checked back on some of our footage and pictures and it looks like the other stops were dirt and pretty muddy at the time we traveled (The end of May). The train is wheel chair accessible. At Glacier Paradise there are elevators to basically everything, and while the zermatt website says there is wheelchair access to the viewing platform I only remember there being stairs (I did check back on our footage and only saw stairs as well) ( www.zermatt.ch/en/Wheelchair-users-mobility-impaired-people )There are a lot more transfers involved in getting to glacier paradise because it’s three different cable cars. Also the area under the glacier was pretty narrow and with uneven ground and the floor is covered in mats. I hope this helps!!

    Hi great video. Im going next week but still undecided on which place to visit, out of the two. I mainly want to experience the views and take good pictures (hopefully with a lot snow). What would you recommend?

    • @AbroadReachTravel
      @AbroadReachTravel  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Fojol Quddus hi there! Thanks for watching!! If I were going to pick, I’d go with Gornergrat. The train gives you the ability to stop in several different places to get different views and angles for photography. The viewing area at the top is MUCH larger and less obstructed so it would be a lot easier to set up a tripod if you wanted. I hope you have a great time on your trip!! -Gwen

    hi, are these attractions only open in the morning/ have better views in the morning-afternoon? would it be a bad idea to go later?

    • @AbroadReachTravel
      @AbroadReachTravel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t know the current schedule, you would want to check the attraction websites. I will say with the snow mid day is going to be very bright but if that doesn’t bother you it would be no issue to go anytime during open hours. I will say we felt pretty rushed when we went in the afternoon, so going earlier also gives you more time to slow down and enjoy it!

    How much was the train ticket to gornegrat and do we need to pay for entrance fee at gornegrat after getting off the train?

    • @AbroadReachTravel
      @AbroadReachTravel  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      AJLANCETA when we purchased the tickets in May 2019 they were 98 CHF. There is no entrance fee after getting off the train and your ticket allows you to get off and back on at every stop.
