@@ModFix Hey Drew, was planning on this weekend at Coombe and a local show here on Sunday, but have covid at the moment and waiting for a negative test. Whole bloomin family has it😷😷. Looks like a great weekend weather wise to. Fingers crossed🤞
Drew I feel your pain, got some struts which I attempted to put on then took off cus something wasn't right. Washers are looking smart😍. See you on Saturday and explain my problem with it 😁
I fitted these, I left them loose opened and closed them a few times to settle them then tightened them up. If you need pictures of the position they settled in I can get these for you when I get the car back from Danny
Hi buddy love the video as I’m considering some dress up washers too. Heard the MJC ones are a bit of a pain so glad to hear the TGR ones are a lot better. Did you just get the tgr standard engine bay dress up kit and did the plastic trim bits that sit underneath for the bolt to go into come with the kit? I’m looking to replace my plastic clips along the slam panel and both wing covers too was there any modifying you had to do to the holes for the washers and nuts to fit or was it all fine (apart from having to cut the bolt down)? Thanks
Thanks mate, much appreciated 👍 Yeah they are the standard tgr dress up washers. I do find the coating comes off them after a while. I don't remember doing any other modifying. They work tons better if you use the bottom half of the plastic clips to screw into. They are much more secure that way 👍
@@ModFixniceee for the price and looks I guess you can’t go wrong :) Did the plastic trim bits that sit underneath for the bolt to go into come with the kit or did you purchase them elsewhere (if so where from)?
They do come with bits that you are supposed to screw into, but I didn't think they held very well. I just bought a load of trim clips off ebay I think
Awesome stuff
Thanks bud 🤜💥🤛
Ahhh drew, engine bay is really coming together now 😁 bloody loved that reconstruction of the bonnet strut snapping 😂😂 made me chuckle
Thanks mate 😁 👍 Even made Ri laugh too 😆 🤣 😂
@@ModFix I'm nominating for a bafta for sure mate 😅😉

Nightmare mate !! See you Saturday 😁👍
I only use one aswell as I’ve got full strut brace kit.😊
Ahh I see. I reckon one is fine anyway tbh 👍

Thanks mate. I did try that, but couldn't stop the passenger side one hitting the fuse box
@@ModFix that’s weird mate. I wonder if they sent the wrong bracket
Or possibly EP3 ones ?

Hey Andrew, great video, shame about your bonnet struts. Just a quick one your title reads “spoon oil cap” isnt it a skunk2 cap?
Thanks mate. Oh yeah, doh, what an idiot!! Thanks for point that out 🤜💥🤛 I'll change that 👍
Cool video bud shame about the struts…🏎👍🏻
Thanks mate 👍
I’ve seen quite a few people using one strut so it makes me think they have had the same issue both fn2 and ep3
To be honest 2 struts felt a bit powerful. One feels alright although doesn't lift the bonnet on its own until it gets about half way up 👍
