This is one of those lovely wrestling moves with something judo-esque over them, like lateral drops, hip tosses, sweeps and trips: they don't require a hell lot brute force and grinding. Always seem so effortless, and they drop somebody very hard. I can't imagine the feeling of getting in a brawl and got dropped like this on pavement!
Sir, your videos are short but every second is pure knowledge and the right way to learn from each one is x0.25 speed play thanks to YT. And of course practice as much as possible. Thank you so much.
very googd videos , especially when it is without music , it seems more proffessional , and we know that the teacher is proffessional and dont have to fill the gaps by music , good job teacher!
Well, if only... Glad these videos are here for kids to learn from. I learn more in five minutes than I did when I tried (emphasis tried) to wrestle in HS. Great vids!
absolutely brutal....i love it. (coming from an MMA/grappling perspective) I assume this would only work in a situation where your opponent's weight is close or less than yours. I'd love to try this in class on some of the bigger guys but I think I would get squashed. : ) Great video collection, it has really been helpful to me!!
Oh no. It will definitely work on a bigger and fatter opponent! Because this technique involves first totally upsetting the balance of the opponent and then putting him down through a leg sweep! It's brutal and very efficient.
Yeah where was this shit when I was in highschool. We focused on cardio even more than we needed becuase our coaches only knew so many moves. The best wrestlers I knew had excellent cardio and mastered only a few moves in each position. We were champs so I guess we did something right in the Cougars den!
you if you go right to the kick instead of popping them down i have used this in mma sparring and once in straight muay thai sparring after catching an inside leg kick. When i take my first fight i want to see if i could use this effectively in a real fight.

I feel like this would be tricky to hit because you literally have to kick the opponents body weight off of his one foot which has all the grip to the Matt, idk but imma start practicing this, I like it
@thadpauley 1. He's supposed to get his ass whooped. It's a thing in wrestling; when you're the dummy, you've gotta take the pain. Resist a bit if you're drilling to get your partner going, but you've gotta take the pain of getting slammed, having a hand come out of nowhere and hit you in the lip or the head (Which has happened to me plenty.) etc. 2. Probably the only guy that has the balls to do it with Coach Muscles over there.
I tried doing the sweep and i kept kicking my friend over and over again. Any pointers on how to actualy sweep and kick out the leg instead of just kicking them
After you make contact into the sweep with your foot/leg keep driving your foot forward as he loses balance. If he knows its coming its going to be more difficult to catch him between his balance points
Improper to simply kick the leg if you watch the slow motion the proper way to do it is to actually hook the calf and basically lift his leg with your toe. The move is called a foot sweep and many people do kick the leg but I prefer to lift.
Thats what I was thinking while watching this video lol. Im a european guy so I didnt grow up wrestling. Its crazy to me how kids dont get hurt a lot doing this stuff all the time. When i am training wrestling nowadays i am super careful to not get hurt
your next step would to be to listen for the miranda warnings that follow an arrest. Never fight a cop back even when they're beating the hell out of you, it makes it easier for a lawsuit ;) lol
Kicking the leg out from the back is now illegal in highschool wrestling, will they call it everytime? No, but say it's in regions and you do that, the guy holds his shoulder and doesn't get back up, you're DQ'd
This guy's technique is so crisp
It's so clean

Depends on how they land. They might not feel anything from the waist down afterwards.

Glad we could help!
My no.1 media wrestling coach
Great to hear that!
he is so smooth with his technique
I don't know why but there is something about all these throws that looks beautiful, maybe is how well the technique is.
Perfect!! Great videos Master. Thanks from Spain

Nobody is safe from foot sweeps lol I've personally been swept from smaller guys who did judo and take me off my feet like I'm a child lol
big boys have bad balance :)
This actually tends to work on bigger guys cause they ALWAYS want to pop back up, and usually do so with more effort or force.
I need to start grappling again. My skills have gone down the shitter
Thank you!

this is the take down move i am going to start using
This looks the most plausible out of all the sweep techniques ive seen.
I wish I wrestled in hs I thought it was kind of lane now I realize it woulda been a good thing to do and keep me focused
u can tell he has enough skill not to hurt the other guy cuz the other guy continues to let him do all these moves
it's simple and awesome. Simply awesome!
Nice move!
That's just downright cool.
can he do a video explaining the set up in further depth

Almost broke my friends arm while doing this move on him. It's a very dangerous move
This is why you don't lock your arm when you fall
Undershot Melo ur friends a bitch
Every move in wrestling is dangerous
Exactly, never underestimate my ULTIMATE TEDDY BEAR ROLL!!!!!!!!
It’s important to know your break falls, if your training takedowns.
Poor guy he demonstrates on, in all those videos, I think in the half of them he has another, guy this one died 🤣
Amazing videos
Damn that's nice set up for half boston crab I will try this in my bjj class

Just realized that wrestling required insane leg power too
You got it!
@hacksign23
its counter pressure
its something to do if ur main thing is the shoulder roll and it doesn't work

You could seriously break an arm falling that way.
Do this in muay thai too
