I can't believe they took the part of Joel finding her in the resort still chopping and comforted her and made it take so much longer till she was outside. They just had to show she delt with it on her own in the restaurant before being consoled rather than having Joel find her and help right away.
I just realised that you are the guy who had a "debate" with Vincent Martin about YMS, props for you, personally I'd be hasitent to have a discussion with him.
Yessir! I've had a couple of chats with Vincent over the last couple of months. We disagree on certain things in media but he's always been very civil with me. I consider him a friend.
Interesting. From what I've seen his reputation on the internet isn't exactly the best, he's often reffered to as a liar and manipulator, but I'm not sure how much truth there's in that.@@Ladenstarfish
@Amarenamann In my experiences with him he's been a straight shooter. I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt until they give me a reason to think otherwise, for better or worse.
Bella Ramsey did pretty damn well. She’s a little iffy in a few scenes, mostly just a few jokes that miss, but for the most part, especially the big dramatic scenes, she genuinely did awesome.
Yeah I was really hesitant about her at first but her performance grew on me as the show went on. I feel like she went from a 5/10 to an 8.5 or maybe even a 9 as far as acting goes.
They change Joel and Ellie to better fit the part 2 game. The show didn't give enough time how their relationship dynamic changed over time. Vastly different from the game characters. They even put in some stuff that is not something that is important to the story to meet quotas. This is just a travesty
Fallout: I'm the best Video Game TV show duuuuude! We have a ghoooul dude! And he makes ass jerky dude! It's peeeeak dude, peakk! There's some weird sex shit in like, EVERY episode dude! No cap! The Last of Us:
Honestly, this show didn't need to exist, the game was already cinematic enough and it told the story better than the show, at least in my opinion. It was a decent show, but definitely overrated.
While I agree the game is plenty cinematic enough for me. I appreciate the tv series because it allows people who aren't gamers to get immersed into one of my favorite stories while staying true to the game.
True, that's probably the only good reason justyfying the existance of this show. I felt uncertain about some of the changes they introduced but in the end enjoyed the show, even if my favourite part of it was the most questionable one. But I have to admit that I got frustrated couple time when it came out and everyone treated it as a masterpiece and an instant classic.@@Ladenstarfish
I couldn’t get into the game at all because of the gameplay so I never absorbed the story. It’s super useful to have multiple mediums if your a storyteller trying to reach people. The lord of the Rings is another example of an adaptation that didn’t “need” to exist (whatever that means) but is still amazing and far reaching in its own right, regardless of the changes
One can always watch a playthrough of the game, some people even made those movie edits when they cut down the gameplay to minimum, include all the cutscenes and dialogue and make it look cinematic. Having played the game and watched the show, I think everyone should experience the game first because it simply functions better. Also, comparing The Lord of the Rings to The Last of Us just doesn't feel right.@@SavageMatty
I'm curious if EFAP will have the same reactions to season 2 as they had to Part 2 of the game. From what I've heard they won't alter the story so it should be comperably terrible.
@@Ladenstarfish because people get ants in their pants when EFAP isn't hypercritical of something, but on the flip side when EFAP criticizes something they like the argument flips to "Oh you guys are always so critical all the time" people be disingenuous

I enjoyed the show, and I enjoyed this edited watch with EFAP even more. Thanks, dude!
I didn't notice this before, but...
The actress playing Ellie looks a bit like Shane Gillis 😂
Knew she looked Scottish

I was surprised by how much I didn't hate this show.

This show is so damn good
I really liked this season as a separate tlou, surprised to be in the minority

Embrace the Druck
Tess was such a let down in the show. But then the show is a letdown even worse I guess.
Honestly this is frustrating to watch.
Why for?
