I'm muslim. And I would never be offended by someone saying they wouldn't marry a muslim, because I understand religious differences can create issue when it comes to raising kids when parents are strongly one one side or another. We all are beautiful human beings regardless of what religion we follow. It is nothing against the person or to their faith or community. Just differences we have to respect.
Much love to my fellow humans of Christianity, Jewish, Hindu and other faiths.

I think this is more referring to the culture and law around that rather than individual marriages. I find his interviews very interesting and they shed a lot of light on the cultural area.
I myself understand very well the idea behind marrying someone who shares my beliefs. I wouldnt make it a law though.

Strange... you and many others here talk about and put emphasis on their choice of a partner based on religion. People talk about MARRIAGE based on RELIGION preferences... Damn it! Why so little is said about LOVE? Isn't that is what must drive our choice? And when its does, how can one look at anything else?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. In fact, I would encourage that if at all possible. The world has become very secular, forcing people out and away from their traditional lives. I believe in a traditional, faith-guided life. That is easiest to achieve with others of our kind. You really should look for a mate first among those of your own tradition. Don't let the world tell you otherwise and listen to your own heart, first and foremost.

Why not teach children about both religions? They are both peaceful but people twist it for their own agenda.
Isn't it better for children to expand their knowledge about everything around them? Why keep their minds closed when they can learn so much more and probably surpass us in every aspect.

Hello ! May Allah protect and guide you to his light and happiness in this life and the hereafter, God bless, Ameen. Excuse me for giving a little presentation of Islam, because it is very misunderstood nowadays, especially on those « Antichrist's » times, where media and politics are mixed to distort history and truth. Thank you very much for your time.
Islam is an arabic word that means the Surrender to the One and Only God, our Creator, Protector, Provider, who gives us life and all that we have, we are safe and sound by his will and grace, we are His and to Him we return, and we have to thank him in this trial life by submitting to him by our free will, or later in the Day of judgment when it's too late to save our own skin. Islam was the original Religion descended to earth from heaven with Adam and Eve (peace and blessing be upon them) in the beginning of humanity. and was passed to people with the succession of the 124 000 prophets and 315 messengers of God to all nations and civilizations since, passing by Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ismaël, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, David, Solomon and Jesus (Peace and blessing be upon them) during the history of mankind, the last replaces and completes the previous, until the succession of the last messenger of God fourteen centuries ago, Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) to complete the noble morals of all mankind, to bring humans and jinns out of darkness into light, and to purify people's religion and belief from corruption and polytheism, and return it to purity and true monotheism, like it was in the times of the prophets (Peace and blessing be upon them).
Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI).
Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy.
Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI).
Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise which He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad).
Allah the Most Merciful said in Surah Ali-Imran : Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of God is [man's] self-surrender unto Him; and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of God's messages - behold, God is swift in reckoning!
Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with thee, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me!" - and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as all unlettered people, "Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?" And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures.
Verily, as for those who deny the truth of God's messages, and slay the prophets against all right, and slay people who enjoin equity - announce unto them a grievous chastisement.
It is they whose works shall come to nought both in this world and in the life to come; and they shall have none to succour them.
(19-22 / Translated by Muhammad Asad)..
God said : Say, “We believe in Allah, and in what was revealed to us, and in what was revealed to Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the Patriarchs, and in what was given to Moses and Jesus, and in what was given to the prophets from their Lord. We do not differentiate between any of them. And to Him, we surrender.”
      (2:136 / Translated by Community)
      Salam (Peace) -------

@@Amazontimsahi To be a Christian as God's Word describes, a Christian is a person who has a personal relationship with Jesus by acknowledging they need his shed blood to pay for their sins and accepts Jesus lordship in their life. It is no longer our will but God's will who describes his people as light and those who reject him as darkness. The Scriptures say, what does the light have to do with the darkness? For a Christian to marry anyone other than another professing Christian is to be unequally yoked. It would be like both the driver and front seat passenger with their hands on the steering wheel trying to go in opposite directions. 1 Corinthians 7:12-16
To the rest I say (I, not the Lord) that if any brother has a wife who is an unbeliever, and she consents to live with him, he should not divorce her. If any woman has a husband who is an unbeliever, and he consents to live with her, she should not divorce him. For the unbelieving husband is made holy because of his wife, and the unbelieving wife is made holy because of her husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy. But if the unbelieving partner separates, let it be so. In such cases the brother or sister is not enslaved. God has called you to peace. Asking people this is somewhat ridiculous. You can't marry a non-Christian because there is this tiny thing called "The Holy Mystery of Marriage" in the Church. It's simply impossible, as no priest would perform the ceremony in those circumstances and he shouldn't. People are confused because the holy apostles did not divorce new Christians from their pagan spouses but at the same time forget that new marriages were not allowed.

Many Zios think that Palestinians are all Muslims and Jews must wage jihad against Islam to survive. What Zios do not understand it was Christian Palestinians leading the most violent of the armed resistance groups. Christian Palestinians have always been on the forefront of the Palestinian anti-colonial struggle. The leader of the group of Palestinians who attacked the Munich Olympics was 1/2 Jewish and 1/2 Christian, but 100% Palestinian. It sorta shows this conflict has precisely nothing to do with religion.

The main problem is the children. If a muslim woman marries a christian man, the children will most likely be raised christian - because men often are the head of the house.
And for us muslims creating kids who end up not following Islam is just seen as a very sad thing because we only believe that Islam is correct. We respect other religions but believe ours is the right one.
That’s why in Islam a Muslim woman can’t marry a Christian man. But the opposite is okay.

For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 NKJV)
It seems that many Christians willing to marry someone from another religion should read the Holy Bible and understand that it means what it says. Sadly, I have heard of Christian women marrying Muslim men and having nothing but trouble. I'm not surprised. Both are incompatible with each other.

If Hitler or anybody of Hitler's time from same country or same city writes a book about himself that is acceptable. If any writer writes another book about Hitler and 1) if the second book matches with Hitler then the second book is a copy and 2) if the second book book doesn't match with the first book then the second book is wrong with guarantee. Same is with crucifixion and other events in Bible and Quran. So, Bible is write or wrong that is unsure. But Quran is wrong with 100% guarantee.

He celebrates christmas with us and doesn't care. They have 2 children and married for 8 years happy. In the beginning there was tension between the families, but now that tension has been forgotten. I am now dating a girl who is muslim, and she is not religious either. So maybe i will marry her too, because i do not care about religion. I will not convert to islam, and she will not convert to christianity. I still believe in a god. It is stupid for humanity to divide between gods, and chose the "right" one. If we all love with our hearts, we don't need to divide ourselves because of who is the "right" god. I do not need to follow a book, to live a happy life. I have principles and manners and that is what matters. Religion did not teach me this.

Bcz if you are living like you want to anyway what's the point in believing in God. And if God is true then there should be guidance as well, and if guidance is there that should not contradict within itself and with reason. If above criteria isn't matched then your faith is as strong/reasonable as believing in fairies.

The difference here is, i have made my own version of what " god " is. You see, i separate religion from god.
I believe that the world was created, and that it did not come from random explosion in stars. That makes no sense. I think atheism is the dumbest " religion"
Religion to me, is a cult. There has been many religions/cults over thousands of years, with many that we don't even know about ( over 10k years ago ). So how can we as humans, say that our "religion" is the right one? Islam/christianity
It makes absolutely no sense, and is arrogant to all the humans who lived before us thousands of years ago.
Usually Jesus, or Mohammed or any other " leader" is a very smart man, who happens to have a higher IQ than most of his people.
We say that he is the messenger of god, but what if he is just a very smart person?Nikola Tesla invented so many things that we use today, and he could also be the son of god, because nobody can duplicate his work even today or how his brain worked, and he even has things that we don't even know about yet that are top secret, patents stolen by the USA secret service.
Nostradamus is a psychic who can also be the son of god, because he predicted many things today.
I am just a logical thinker and not a sheep like 90% of the people. It is also the reason i am not vaccinated for Covid, and i am still alive today, despite Joe Biden saying i will die a horrific death so i should join his "vaccinated" cult.
You see, life is not just black and white.
The egyptians built the pyramids over 10k years ago, and today we are still arguing how they did it. Did muhammad build the pyramids? No, he is only 1400 years old.
Did jesus built it? no, he is only 2000 years old.
I don't need religion. If everybody today turned into islam, would the world have peace finally?
No, look at the islamic countries, they still have haram everyday. Rape/ murder/ stealing happens everyday no matter what religion you believe in.
There is no point to join any religion. But Religion will ALWAYS exist, you know why?
Because 90% are followers, and only 10% are leaders. This is a normal thing of humanity, and will never change.
We forget that people were smart back then too, and we think of them as savages who only knew the world of god. Humans experimented with mathematics, physics, studying organs, and blood, and stars, since humans existed.
God created this world, but he does not control it. Everything he created is coded. DNA is a code. Humans in the near future ( less than 200 years from now ) will be able to CREATE life, that is self aware.
Which means that we were created by such humans as well.
That is all i have to say to you my friend.

Christians used to represent 60% or more of the population of Bethlehem and the surrounding towns. This majority maintained all the way through the Israeli occupation from 1967 to the mid-90s. Once the Palestinian Authority took over this area, Christians were "encouraged," by methods up to and including killings, to leave, not only just Bethlehem and environs, but the PA areas in West Bank and Gaza. As of 2016, Christians constituted only 12% of Bethlehem, and that proportion decreases even now. And all this has nothing to do with Israel or Jews, but with the Radical Islamists in charge of the Arab areas in West Bank and Gaza.

Great, thoughtful inquiry. I commend all, and the interviewer included, for intelligent, reflective dialogue.
My mother was born a Mennonite farm girl in NE Montana. Because of the great depression and collapse of grain prices, my grandfather had to take his wife and daughter away from their Mennonite community. I grew up 75 miles from the Mennonite community and was raised in a Methodist environment.
Throughout my life I have observed a great deal of evidence of social and family dynamical, functional issues. Much of this stems from my devout Mennonite roots in conflict with more secular oriented Christians.
I am 65 years old, and I am a Muslim. Ironically, I think it would often be better for Mennonites (who are truly Christian separatists) to marry Muslims than to marry someone from mainstream Christianity. The reason being level of devotion.
I arrived in Islam through my own dialectical, syncretic faith orientation. I think it is perfectly acceptable for people of separate religions to marry. Several of the interviewed commented on the difficulties for the children, and I agree.
For that reason, I feel in a mixed relationship, the couple should articulate a primary orientation early in their decision to marry. Either the Muslim commits to the life and traditions of Christianity or vice versa. I would encourage continued exposure to their secondary orientation.
Before my reversion to Islam, I attended Unitarian Universalist church which I loved very much. I would still attend if a UU church were nearby. In UU, there is no strict commission to one faith over another.
I think faith and spirituality are more essential to human wellbeing than sex. I'm not at all opposed to sex, but not at all interested in casual sex. Sex is good for human wellbeing, but I think faith is crucial.
In experience, even while agnostic for decades, I find I liked and related to people of faith better than those who are secular. I don't discriminate against people of different faiths, but increasingly find I have no appetite for being around seculars.
Bless all of good faith ❤️
