now i understand why mr Hoshino loved this
Mr Hoshino says hi ;)
Here after reading the book
Awesome! He brought me here too 👍
I read 2 times kafka on the shore
Came here literally after reading the part when Nakata died😢
🌻
Came here after reading Kafka on the shore. I have no connection and knowledge about classic music, but it sure sounds beautiful! Glad I checked it out and will definitely come back to listen to it again!
I'm reading that book now.
0:00 Allegro moderato
13:20 Scherzo. Allegro
20:04 Andante cantabile ma pero con moto
32:41 Allegro moderato - presto
Però.........
thx!
Lovely. I love the Archduke.
Amazing how a novel can increase the interest for music, in this case Archduke Trio. Murakamis novel has hereby made a great job in supporting classic music! And what a wonderful music!
After Oshima took me to Schubert and his imperfection, now the coffee shop owner and Hoshino have brought me here . I have to thank you Murakami, I never had a friend who could introduce me such musics that you did.
I read that this was the last public performance of Beethoven where, of course, he was playing the piano. The performance had to stop as he could not keep pace with the other soloists. And, again, of course it was when his deafness had finally overcome him. Saying that, this piece has a special place in my heart. It expresses the character of Beethoven in every way. There is so much in this piece that just demands to be returned to again and again and again.
There's nothing better when a piece is recorded immaculately on youtubd
That cellist is just pure beauty and passion. I feel like I can feel her body heat from where I'm sitting.
If i could only listen to one piece of music again in my life it would be this recording of this piece. Absolutely beautiful
I once heard this in a chamber festival in a church in Umeå, Sweden, it was early summer, the sun was still there even if it was late, and afterwards I was so happy! One of my lifes most memorable music moments.
Other than Finlandia, this is it.
I've arranged to have a wonderful trio play the third movement at my memorial if there is one and it's far off. Too bad I won't be there.
Here listening with miss saeki and hoshino❤❤❤❤
Sent by haruki murakami
so do I❤
There is so much of Beethoven's comic genius in this work.
Each one of them had, showed, and played with the joy of making music.
I wish I forget ever reading that book so that I could experience it all over again 😢
Kafka on the shore ❤
One of the best Archdukes I've heard to date.
Incredible, isn't it? Thanks for listening!

What a delight!
This performance captures the very essence of chamber music, of its profound intimacy. Beethoven´s "Archduke" caresses both the ear and the soul. There is no drama, no conflicts, no sharp edges as in most of his other superb compositions, just wit, joy, musical poetry and celestial beauty. I am overwhelmed and thankful.
Beautifully stated!! 🙏🏻🎻
I admire Camerata Pacifica for playing this with such a refined beauty, the right balance with no exaggerations at all.
Yet sensitive to that wonderful Beethoven beat.
This performance was an inspired revelation. The artists here are superb! I can’t imagine a better performance. Their playing of the last movement lifted my spirits. Thank you!
I agree. I love this piece, and many look upon the Zukerman, Barenboim, DuPre performance as being the definitive performance. However, I prefer this one, which for me is the best I have hard. They capture the soul of Beethoven, clearly enjoy what they play with a passion, and their timing and emphasis is immaculate.
Ditto.
In an extremely competitive category, this is one of, if not the, best performances of this precious piece I have ever heard.
it was practice tempo :(
One of the most beautiful things in chamber music is the "sign language" between the participants. Here they express so vividly this wonderful style of communication!
Even at the end, Ani catches superfast with her eyes the slight bow of Paul 🙂
Excellent point. Ani is extraordinary in that regard. Without overdoing it
Oh My. These musicians are indeed exhorting Beethoven to release his anxieties. So, so well done. Beautiful understanding of Beethoven. Really quite wonderful.
Nicely put, Brian! We wholeheartedly agree.
Agree Bryan. Profound conversation
Bryan nice to meet a man who is in touch with emotion.
Absolutely perfect, immaculate, full of life, joy and emotion. A wonderful performance!
Not even a smudge, great sobriety, absolute fidelity to the text. Well done !!!
My favorite piece by my favorite composer. Immaculately performed. Bravo 👏 👏 👏
As a lifetime pianist having worked on this with my parents, knowing Beaus Arts version, Ani is phenomenal as all
One of the best
Phrasing detail incredible
What a difficult work
Love❤️❤️
Thanks for your kind words, David. Talent always recognizes talent.
You lucky dog! I would love to have taken part in a performance or even just rehearsed this. My favourite recording is by The Oistrakh Trio, (possibly because my first experience). Opus 97 is so deep, rich, profound, it can sustain numberless interpretations. I just want each gneration to embrace, love it and give us unique performances of ir..
The ensemble and sound quality of the string players is just great. Bravo!
Yes, I noticed the excellent sound production. Very well balanced.
What a....!!!! Most amazing... BEST "archduke"!!!
最も美しく素晴らしい「大公」♪♪
Perhaps Beethovens best piano trio? I think it is, with this flowing melody in the Allegro Moderato, and then this wonderful third movement, Andante Cantabile, like poetry in motion. Very well played, Camerata Pacifica.
Perhaps the best piano trio, period.
As wonderful as is the "Archduke", the "Ghost" enchants me even more. Nonetheless, this is a brilliant performance.
Besides the great playing, I must say the acoustics of the room are perfect for this piece. Just the right amount of reverb.
Obrigada, Sr. Hoshino🌻
is this not literally the definition of professionalism?!
The tearing sound in 21:53 follow by the piano and cello. It's just, fantastic, makes me cry.
1:55 the articulstion and phrasing in the piano part is divine
I don't believe I've been hiding under a rock for the last decade or two, yet I have not encountered this group of players until now. The cellist is the greatest cellist I'd not heard of, yet I don't intend that to detract from the quality of the playing of the other two performers or of the whole group. I experienced the performance as stunning, and I don't think any of the old favourites are superior (eg Beaux Arts). Because of the high quality of the recording, it will be my go to from now on. For me, it captures fully the innate beauty of this compositional masterpiece, which has been for many years one of my favourite pieces of all music. Unlike one previous commentator I tend to prefer live (and therefore unedited and integral) performances over studio versions.
The maximum trio performing of beethoven, divine, superb, simply cheerful...
I hold this to be one of the best clues to classical music, this theme Andante Cantabile at 20:05, a simple melody, or theme, that then developes into something so much more, leading to a deeper understanding of the initial thoughts of this work. For me it was a revelation when I the first time heard this musik IRL, long ago. And this fascination still is my companion.
Gorgeous. The cello sound is (in my view) just wonderful for this, but then they all are amazing.
I love this piece. Masterful performance. Ani is mesmerizing.
Este conjunto atingiu a ternura mais sublime expressa nesta delicada e pungente obra do grande Beethoven. Maravilhoso.
Es gibt offensichtlich nicht nur Sol Gabetta!
Auch die beiden Herren: großartig!
Gott sei dank!
To my friends in El Paso Texas, we will hear this piece on August 20, 2022. I can't wait
I have heard six versions now, since I met this beautiful piece on Danish tv. This is by far the best.
Absolutely wonderful performance. Thank you.
아름답고 행복한 음악 입니다
19:54 made me laugh. Classic Beethoven. Well done Camerata Pacifica!
Beautifully done! Lovely balance and interplay between artists.
This music comfort me every time when I am depressed, especially in 3rd movement!

A superb performance, paying top quality tribute to an outstanding composition.
Sounds and looks fantastic!! Bravo to everyone!!
Ausgezeichnet!
Excelente el grupo Camerata Pacifica.
This. Wonderful Trip was composed at the same time Beethoven composed the 7th and 8th Symphonie in 1811 when the Master was 40 years old
This is a beautifully played well-balanced and unpretentious interpretation of the trio. It is satisfying visually and musically. The video is very good and the sound superlative. Thank you for posting it complete.
I agree, this is such a pleasing video! No frills, good lighting, and a beautiful, coordinated, composed sound. What more could you ask for🤩
What a joyful finale! They are fairly dancing it.
"archduke" trio 의 최고연주
この素晴らしい演奏の心地よさは天下一品、計り知れない深さがあり語り尽くせません
This wonderful performance is profound and immeasurable
The Maestro would love to hear this.
Superb, extraordinary, the best of trío a real máster piece, beethoven surely had heavenly connections, his inspiration wasnt of this world.
Kafka on the shore- Haruki Murakami
The sound is the same as when Cortot and Casals played it. I like it. very much, wonderful.
Как же это прекрасно !
A special bravo to Ani Aznavoorian! But a wonderful performance by all! Thank you.
I can hear this all day ❤
This is a delight! Doing a course on Beethoven's piano sonatas led me to investigate his trios. So glad I started with this one! Exquisite playing. What a joy brought to the isolation of lockdown :)

In many ways the trio of piano, violin and cello is the perfect music ensemble.
@@malcolmabram2957I completely agree. As an avid listener of chamber music, I feel the piano trio over time has been the richest genre
It is also most illuminating to listen to all of the previous trios, though I agree that this is the best
Brevíssimo beautiful cellist, violin & Piano.
Beautiful sound they make together. If you only listen and not see, how do you know if you are not hearing the top musicians in the world? I thought I was. Bravo!!!
There is so much talent out there, why is it then certain names, performers, conductors, even composers etc are the ones we hear and see all the time at major music events. They're the ones who get all the media attention and receive all the accolades?
They may not be the greatest soloist, but good enough to be one of the best trios; besides all three are Juilliard graduate, Paul and Gilles Avery Fisher prize winners, Ani principal orchestra cellist.
In fact, these three ARE among the top musicians of the world! Otherwise, how could they play this masterpiece in such an impressing way? Each of them is so involved in making their own part a whole together with their partners! And the phrase starting around 30:00 is so touching! We must be very grateful that concerts like this once existed (right now they don't).
@@simonwong2738ani IS spectacular
Wise and profound comment
Todo es un delicioso y extraordinario juego virtuoso, fruto de largas horas de ensamblado con tres descollantes solistas que saben muy bien lo que hacen, unidos por el violoncello, para brindarnos esta brillante interpretación para no cansar de escucharla. Muchas gracias. Mario Carlos Ginzburg desde Bs. As.
Mr hoshino would love this rendition
Immensely enjoyable.
How absolutely wonderful
As he listened to the first theme tears came to his eyes then the floodgates opened. Jeez, he thought, when was the last time I cried? He couldn't remember. [22/04/2024- Kafka on the shore- 44]
Wonderful playing, thank you! I'm studying this piece and it really helps to watch and listen to you guys.
Superbly done. Bravo!

Stupendous!
Another novel with ”Archduke” is Colm Toibins ”Nora Webster” where Nora loves this music…

Now, Nakata is listening It, too.
Lindo!
Probably needless to say, but this is a performance of the entire 4-movement work, not just the 3rd movement as stated in the description above.
Good catch James, thank you!
@@CamerataPacifica I meant to add, not that it detracts in any way from this gorgeous HD rendering of a lovely performance. Thank you for posting it.
Sublime Andante movement!
I see the pianist and the cellist are using tablets for score. How prevalent is it these days?
