Argerich is 82 years old. How does she do it!! She can still travel the world extensively and play with more fire and precision than just about any other pianist. At 82!! It's just perfection from start to finish.

It's mind-boggling that, after a 65-year-career (she won two major competitions at age 16) she still can play this so freshly, with absolute command.

Ja, das ist ein Glück für mich auch, diese schöne Musik auf yout tube zu hören. Ich bin verzaubert vom ganzen Stück und fasziniert wie die alte Grand Dame spielt. Egal wie alt sie gerade ist. Sie zeigt uns man sollte nie aufhören schöne Dinge zu tun und was wir mit Leidenschaft tun, egal wie alt wir sind.

Sheer delight! As the grande dame of pianism Mme Argerich has the authority to introduce rubatos and accelerandos at will and this she did liberally, exploring their delights triumphantly. Equally delightful was the fact that this young orchestra had the skill to follow deftly in her wake. Bravissimo to all concerned.

My uncle Holman had dementia but remembered his classical pieces on his 7 foot Steinway!!!!!!!!!! Scarlatti, Bach Chopin. Rach 3 with no orchestra.We were too poor to figure out in 1950 how to get an orchestra and no scores on tape to accompany him!!! All my toys were under this piano XXXXXOOOOO!!!

He escuchado varias veces a Martha Argerich ejecutar el 2do de Beethoven, siempre genial. Pero esta versión es literalmente sublime. A eso hay que aunar orquesta y director muy jóvenes interpretando también magistralmente.

Précise et légère à la fois, ses doigts volent sur les touches et c'est un véritable enchantement. On a l'impression d'écouter pour la première fois n'importe quel morceau qu'on connaît par coeur . J'ai eu la chance d'assister à son dernier concert à Lyon et c'est un privilège.

I have played the piano for 80 years. I am very familiar with the Beethoven concerti. Marthe has been listed as the 9th best pianist of 100 greatest piano players. That judgment includes those who are living or deceased. It also includes pianists playing with musicality as well as technical skills. Apparently you know the scores of every piece she has played. She is a player without a peer & hardly misses notes at all.
And by the way., both Horowitz and Rubenstein performed in their 80’s, & so can Marthe.
