Excellent performance of a masterpiece! I like the tempos, because they allow the bringing out of details that faster tempos tend to gloss over. This performance is very musically insightful.
This is the only meaningful human reply to death, destruction, and suffering--Beauty! Created by Beethoven, executed by these marvelous musicians. The human spirit is fragile, like this melody--but strong because of the interplay. I am now breathing 200 years after Beethoven, but his breath is mine.
Perhaps not... perhaps not. Maybe, just maybe, the huge 3rd Mvts of Op131 & Op132. To my soul and ear, there is Beethoven... and then there is everyone else who has ever put notes to paper.
Lovely performance, but the arbitrary and inaccurate movement breaks should be fixed. Wilfried's timings are correct, except for the 4th movement, Allegro moderato - Presto, which begins at 34:03.

Having listened to every recording of this I could find, I must say this is my favourite.
