After watching numerous YT videos from the PGA show, this one felt a little like an infomercial, also very few of these vendors were in any of the other videos, the industry should be buzzing, more people are playing now than ever before, in the market for a sim system and glad I waited as the selection at this time is very good
Don't totally disagree with you! Next year I think I'd take a different approach with the video from there. But absolutely on the current state of launch monitors and sim systems. There are so many good options for golfers right now.
I wish most or all the sims and software allowed a similar to top golf. When you play and get to the green - depending on how close you hit it the targets get bigger but you chip pitch wedge from 30 to 100 yards and if you get it inside the circle it’s a 1 putt and outside is a 2 putt and maybe way outside is a 3 putt but only one shot at it. One and done - works on those half wedge feel shots. Seems like a better way to increase the amount of improvement effectively
Really need about 6x to hit accurately which you can't put in shades unless you had some kind of flip over like the guy from a different world 😂. If you get that reference, then you're old like me.
Great review. I have the situation of a smaller room for my hitting bay. I just don't have the depth of a room that is compatible with the Doppler based launch monitor. And I don't have the $3,000+ budget to go for the others that sit right next to the hitting area. I hope that the competition increases and technology grows rapidly that will allow for a $2000 launch monitor that has all the features of the Bushnell & Sky Track devices.
Well.....you can get the Bushnell Launch Pro for $2k. If that's your budget, you can do that and then consider adding to it over time as you figure out what you need the most (more sim options, add club data etc).
@@Sports4me7 This is always the biggest question mark. Over the years I've put more than one hole in my ceiling trying to make it work in areas I probably shouldn't have been swinging a club ha.
What height is recommended? I don't think I will have an issue, I believe the height in my area is at or just over 10 feet. Plus I added LED lighting - I was told lighting is important as well.@@Sports4me7
@@breakingeighty I’d have to guess most houses have 8ish feet ceilings which don’t work. Almost have to look for a house specifically taking into consideration a tall garage or taller rooms
@@breakingeighty - FYI, I’ve sideloaded the Android Skytrak+ software onto the Quest 3. Its passthrough is so good that I can hit balls while running the Skytrak+ range superimposed over my hitting net, so that I don’t need a projector nor an impact screen. It works amazingly well - outdoors, in my semi-open carport. Once GSPro is working more smoothly with Skytrak+, I’ll run it on my gaming PC & stream it to the Quest 3 via Virtual Desktop.
I am in the market for a launch monitor. Undecided between the Mevo+ with PP and face impact or FS X3. Can anyone comment between the 2? Is the extra cost of the X3 warranted? Cheers
Range tech needs to incorporate a kestrel type wind capture tech. I hate having to look at my phone to see what the wind is supposedly doing according to weather apps which are frequently wrong. No lying to a kestrel.
I really wish you’d brighten the fill light on the left side of your face just a bit. The shadow is a bit too dark, beyond adding depth & contrast to your face.
I'm not sure in the months of you occasionally commenting on my videos, you've ever left a positive one haha. But absolutely noted. Life has been crazy, so buying a fill light just hasn't been at the top of my priority list. That said, I hear you and agree! Will see what I can come up with over the next couple months.
Ah yes, while I was watching this video and benefiting from the free information you are giving all of us, I couldn’t help but worry about the fill lighting on your face. I thought about turning off the video, but then realized only a total loser would post a negative comment about lighting on a golf video.
@@breakingeightyhope I didn't seem to come off negative too, the camera work already looks really professional. Lighting is something I could never personally get right so I kind of gave up on it. Always felt like a losing battle for me 😅

Do you have the height? I have a BLP and have found that I can't use it really because all the rooms in my house aren't tall enough 😅

Would be very interested to hear your thoughts after trying Golf+ on a Quest 3 with the Yezro Y13S or similar swing stick.
I've used Golf+ on Quest 2, but havent yet used a 3 or the Yezro. Will keep this in mind if I can get my hands on one.
