    Good save on the Husqvarna trimmer. That's the combi tool. I personally would get the straight shaft trimmer end for it. That would give you extra distance between you and the strings and any potential venomous snakes you might encounter. As for the generator I would definitely let the guy know that it works and you just need to give it a strong pull. If he says you can have it then that's good if he wants it then you have done the right thing.

    Some thoughtful camera angles made this an absorbing and interesting video. Another great result too. Well done,

    Forgot your PPE Brad. lol ...That is a damn good weed whacker.. You should keep tat one. i like to use the T-25 heads, they are only about 20 bucks at Lowes and i like to use orange Oregon .095 trimmer line in conjunction. You can get a big spool of it for a decent price and will last a good long time. Also you can get some good attachments for that like the cultivator/tiller attachment expensive but worth it. They are proprietary to Husqvarna but you do get what you pay for. Makes light work for gardens and you can make a killer compost with the tiller attachment. You should make you a good compost in that area by your garage there. I was hoping you were going to whack down that tall weeded grassy area by the garage.

    What was causing the sticking points on the piston and how did you free it? Mine is doing the same thing it spins when I turn it with vicegrips but with the pull cord on it pulls but wont recoil as it sticks

    • @Fixologist1
      @Fixologist1  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Take apart the recoil and lube it.

    Question: Do you know what would be causing the puller string to get stuck and not rewind completely? I changed the piston, cylinder, pull string, spark plug after my trimmer seized while using it. For more context, if i remove the spark plug and pull the string it cycles correctly and the string rewinds normally. The problem starts when I put the spark plug back on. Any suggestions? This is on a Husqvarna 128LD that looks just like the trimmer on your video.

      @Fixologist1  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I presume you’re using the proper oil ratio in your fuel? If so, try spraying the recoil bearing and pawl assembly with PB Blast. Then make sure your string is clean and not frayed.

    I was thinking, I live in a beautiful part of the UK, the Lake District but if I came too after a snooze, would I know I wasn't in England and it was the fences that struck me. Ther are places that look like that but Cumbria is a bit more rugged.

    While in college I worked in a Sears appliances, electronics, and small engine repair shop as a "gopher"!
    Customers would buy lawn and garden equipment, set it up themselves and wouldn't put oil in the engine or use regular gasoline in a two stoke engine.
    These items would be returned when the engine seized. A trick the tech used was to remove fuel and spark plugs, fill with oil or the proper 2 stroke fuel and work the crank shaft back n forth.
    Didnt see one instance where this didnt work. Of course they couldnt resell the item as new.

  • @bobbydent6485
    @bobbydent6485 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Quick trick. Always pull the spark plug. Run the oil straight into the cylinder. Leave it alone for a day.

    • @Fixologist1
      @Fixologist1  ปีที่แล้ว

      I do mention that about 15 minutes in. If I was smarter, that’s what I would have done from the beginning.

      Does the oil need to be drained out after?

    • @bobbydent6485
      @bobbydent6485 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@StackzMcgee the oil will blow out the spark plug hole if the engine has any compression. If not, oil in the cylinder is the least of your worries.

    You mentioned it had good compression so I assumed you did a compression test on it. If yes, I have a husqvarna 128ld and need to do a compression test on mine but I have never used a compression tester. If you did use a compression tester did it come with a schrader valve, I read those are the best for small engines. Also could you put a link in your description for the compression tester you used?

    Was anybody else saying "TAKE THE MUFFLER OFF"? Lovely scenery, but do y'all have police chases like they do in Arkansas? I really love the 129 mph pit maneuvers!

    I had zero compression so I replaced the piston. Only when I put the front housing over the clutch it doesnt want to spin anymore. It will spin without the housing. Im at a loss does anyone have any ideas? I dont get why the clutch drum is stopping it from turning.

      Check that your flywheel isn’t hitting the tabs of the ignition coil ..I’ve had that happen before

  • @williamarnett3234
    @williamarnett3234 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    You should have put some transmission fluid in it to clean that piston up. Then when free, pour it out and blow it out with air. Put all back together then mix gas and 2 cycle oil. Run. Lol

    • @Fixologist1
      @Fixologist1  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No. At the end of the day, after thinking it over, the guy did say he already bought a new one, and this one was already at the curb headed to the dump. That's where it would be now had I not saved it, so I'm going to keep and use it.
