The music, the gambling, the differents parts which aren't just fighting, the interesting NPC... The non linear form of the dungeon (the elevator thing doesn't give the impression of linearity, despite the thing being kinda linear in the end)... Well, Omori has a lot to give in term of game design
I tried to use the elevator and it prompted me to get a key card. Go out fight hundreds of gators and try to find it thinking I needed it to use the elevator 2-3 hours later. I realized I had access to other floors. This fight theme now fucking haunts me.
If it makes you feel any better I kinda did the same. Remember how you had to go look for Space Bo- er.. Ex Space Boyfriends cassette tape in the junk yard? I thought I had to beat up every enemy until I found the tape because Kel kept rummaging through the trash, assuming that's how I'd find the tape. Intense grinding later, I gave up and decided to just randomly interact with everything until I found out I had to interact with a giant trash cube to continue.. I was overleved by that point and that section of the game was a cake walk..

i kinda felt lost with this theme... it plays when all your friends left you and you have to take them back. At the same time, in faraway you are beggining to understand that this is actually gonna happen to Sunny if he doesn't act and confront his fears. Kel left you for years minding his bussiness, Basil take all the fault for what Sunny and him did and is not treated like the cute little flower boy you remember from head space. Hero is out of town and aubrey lost contact after all the things she has been trough and didn't tell. So this ost, with that nostalgic tone in the first sounds... that lost atmosfera... That shit really hits hard... Sorry for bad english i tried so hard.
