Great video, precisely what many might looking for, comparing the connection to the Action Pro 5 with the receiver and with the TX directly; it could be great if you could test it the same distance while connecting only the TX to Action Pro 5
Interesting compact and budget priced mic from DJI. It seems like it has plenty of features at the low price point. And it would be perfect for a first time wireless mic buyer who doesn't need the advanced features of the DJI Mic 2. Nice review Shawn, I'm sure a lot of folks are going to pick this up after watching your video.
Hey bro. I like ur contents. But I noticed you don’t have comparisons videos. I would like to see a comparison between all the mics you got from rode and dji, indoor and outdoor. I believe it will be great video. Because you are great content creator ❤
Will it connect via Bluetooth to the (iPhone) DJI Fly app when flying the Neo? Also when flying the Neo with the RC2 controller, you have to connect the receiver to the RC2, and the the transmitter will provide audio while flying …. Or am I mistaken????
nice review and well explained about the accessories that comes in with mic mini, i have already ordered, and excited to test these with my osmo action 5 pro
Great video. Just a question, to use with the Action 4, which one do you recommend between the mic 2 only transmitter and the mic mini receiver + transmitter? They are almost the same price. I would use mostly for some ambient sound for the video tour on my channel. Thanks 😊
Weird how it sounds so much better via Bluetooth meaning you only need to buy mic on its own which is much cheaper ! Got mine for £49 which is a bargain compared to £89 with the receiver which I don’t need as I won’t be connecting the mic to anything else other than my Action 4
How about using it with DJI NEO, flying the drone with your iPhone. Will the noise cancellation that removes the motor noise of the drone still be removed using the new microphone with this kit?
Hello, can DJI Mic mini transmitter be paired with MIC 2 RECEIVER? ( i have 1 mic2 + receiver and would like to know if i can connect one mic mini as 2nd mic ) Thanks
Thanks for the review. What benefits does the DJI MIC 2 have over this? Internal storage seems to be the only thing I can see. Can you post a youtube short of you screaming and see how the two handle "limiting?" I just can't justify buying the DJI mic 2 when this seems to be so good. Especially for someone who isn't using it a Pro level.
It has 32 bit float audio. More settings can be changed right on the receiver. You can plug a Lavalier directly into the transmitter. Among a few other features, I might make a comparison video to help those decide which one is best for them.
It’s not the same type of receiver it’s Bluetooth or what they’re calling Osmo audio. It sounds really good however doing it via Bluetooth. You will not have the same type of range and there could be interference in some scenarios. But it is much more convenient.
Hi (Shawn/Sean?), thanks for the great video. Any idea if they will work with the RC/RC2 controllers while screen recording? I hope so, since I just order the Mic Mini yesterday!
It’ll work if it’s plugged in directly with the receiver. Unfortunately, not if you just pair one of the mics by Bluetooth. It will connect my Bluetooth, but no audio can be recorded if doing the screen recording. Only if you attach the receiver into the USB-C port.
Yes, indeed it will as long as you’re using the microphone adapter or the media mod if using the receiver. Bluetooth connectivity should work as well. I haven’t tested it yet, but I am going to do that today
@@AirPhotography That would be cool. I use DJI Mic2 at the moment, but this new mini looks a bit better for the use I have for it. Looking forward to your test.
How did you remove the door so as to plug in the receiver to the action 5? ahh OK I got it here if anyone else is asking: To remove the door on a DJI Osmo Action 5 to plug in a receiver, you can firstly remove a cage then Press in on the latch button Slide the door down Flip the door up Pull the door away The door can be difficult to remove when the camera is new, but it's designed to be removable. You can also watch a video on how to remove and reinstall the card or USB door on a DJI Osmo Action
I have a question I have asked of others but have not received any reply. I have the DJI Mini4 Pro, if I go on a full battery flight it lasts about 25 minutes, and if I record that flight, it breaks down to 5 to 6 minute intervals instead of the full 25 minute flight, how can I adjust this.?
Yes, the transmitter can be used by plugging directly into the USB-C port. But not the Bluetooth capability of pairing just one of the transmitters single.
@@BoReynolds I cannot see why not . if the mic 2 does it through the USB plug then this one will . The connection will be the same . The only trouble you might have is your limited on the adjustments on this one when it comes to transmitter and receiver adjustment compared to mic 2
A huge disappointment. In every review I've seen the audio is nowhere as good as its direct rivals (Rode Micro, Godox Cube, Lark M2). Definitely need a direct comparison.
@ I've been anxiously awaiting the Mini. I have a Fulaim X5 and all the other small mics sound better. I get the impression that the Mini only sounds as good as my X5.
Too bad they didn't include some onboard memory for recording directly to the mic. If they had, it would have been a quick purchase for me. Thank you for a thorough review Shawn! You covered it all!
Superb sound quality for such a small mic system. The price is an absolute steal too, fantastic pricing from DJI and quality too!
Indeed. Nice little kit for the price.
They just keep coming with these tiny wireless mics. Competition is fierce.
The sound quality of the DJI Mic Mini is truly excellent, and it's super easy to use. Great job!
hey thank for nice video, does the rx will stay good if we use for motovloging?
That distance test was awesome. Thanks for the video
Yeah, really good range for such a tiny little microphone. No break up at all.
@AirPhotography NOW I'm thinking how it will sound on my motorcycle. Hmmm
I am amazed how quick DJI upgrade there gear great vid again my friend 👍🏻
I just bought the mic mini from dji and can’t wait
Great video, precisely what many might looking for, comparing the connection to the Action Pro 5 with the receiver and with the TX directly; it could be great if you could test it the same distance while connecting only the TX to Action Pro 5
How to know when charging if the transmitter and receiver is full? What is the indicator? I only have the basic package.
Indeed, I was quite happy with it
Thank you for this, you also show what came in the receiver alone package that I ordered.
Do you know if it will connect via Bluetooth to the Insta360 Ace Pro 2 like the DJI Mic 2? If so, how does the audio quality compare to the Mic 2?
Outstanding very simple and informative after watching this I now know what I need is the perfect solution.
Glad it was helpful!
this is great ... I had purchased the mic 2 transmitter only which has been great but I think I will sell it and get this instead as it's very compact
Just ordered the kit with one transmitter and one receiver, perfect for moto vlogging.
Nice.
Excellent review. This video really helped me decide which buying option to go for.
Thank you 👍
That’s awesome. I’m glad you found the video helpful.
WOW! Impressive! Glad I ran into your channel!
Is there difference in sound quality when the receiver is used with the mic transmitter versus just via Bluetooth from receiver to the GoPro

Very good!
Yup, i just ordered one. Cheers buddy ❤
Could I pair it to my go pro hero 11 with the go pro mic adapter? ❤

Hi Shawn, that bag looks the perfect size to keep the neo in?🤔
I do like the styling of it. I think it is a little small for that, but I might try.
Does the DJI MIC mini work with DJI OA3?
Verygood review Shaun
Thank you
What will you recommend exactly for iPhone 16 pro , Hollyland lark M2, or dji Mini ? Thanks
I’ve never used the other brand so I can’t really say either way, but I can say that I’m very happy extremely happy with the DJI mic mini
Am I able to record audio from two sound sources with the $169 bundle?
Can you please try to connect the mic mini to an iPhone via Bluetooth please. Love ya work
I have tested that. It does work just not with the native phone app. I tested it with the moment camera app.

Does the DJI mic mini RX work with DJI Mic 2?
no lightning adapter for older iphones?
There is a lightning adapter, but it is a separate purchase. I guess they figure it’s an older connection now

possible to use both transmitter at same time with the action 4? appears to only pair 1 at a time. any advice?

For me, there is ZERO reason to go with this option. No 32-bit float. DJI Mic 2 blows this away. I was hoping DJI would release a 360º action camera.
I’m hoping they release a 360 camera as well. Really interested to see what DJI would do with 360.

Too bad it just did arrive by itself to you and free of cost. What do you expect less than an inch device to perform 🤔
