Too bad they didn't include some onboard memory for recording directly to the mic. If they had, it would have been a quick purchase for me. Thank you for a thorough review Shawn! You covered it all!
How about using it with DJI NEO, flying the drone with your iPhone. Will the noise cancellation that removes the motor noise of the drone still be removed using the new microphone with this kit?
Thanks for the review. What benefits does the DJI MIC 2 have over this? Internal storage seems to be the only thing I can see. Can you post a youtube short of you screaming and see how the two handle "limiting?" I just can't justify buying the DJI mic 2 when this seems to be so good. Especially for someone who isn't using it a Pro level.
It has 32 bit float audio. More settings can be changed right on the receiver. You can plug a Lavalier directly into the transmitter. Among a few other features, I might make a comparison video to help those decide which one is best for them.
nice review and well explained about the accessories that comes in with mic mini, i have already ordered, and excited to test these with my osmo action 5 pro
Yes, indeed it will as long as you’re using the microphone adapter or the media mod if using the receiver. Bluetooth connectivity should work as well. I haven’t tested it yet, but I am going to do that today
@@AirPhotography That would be cool. I use DJI Mic2 at the moment, but this new mini looks a bit better for the use I have for it. Looking forward to your test.
Yes, the transmitter can be used by plugging directly into the USB-C port. But not the Bluetooth capability of pairing just one of the transmitters single.
@@BoReynolds I cannot see why not . if the mic 2 does it through the USB plug then this one will . The connection will be the same . The only trouble you might have is your limited on the adjustments on this one when it comes to transmitter and receiver adjustment compared to mic 2
They just keep coming with these tiny wireless mics. Competition is fierce.
Thank you for this, you also show what came in the receiver alone package that I ordered.
I am amazed how quick DJI upgrade there gear great vid again my friend 👍🏻

Indeed, that would be nice.
Superb sound quality for such a small mic system. The price is an absolute steal too, fantastic pricing from DJI and quality too!
Indeed. Nice little kit for the price.
this is great ... I had purchased the mic 2 transmitter only which has been great but I think I will sell it and get this instead as it's very compact
I just bought the mic mini from dji and can’t wait
Yeah...that is awesome.
Just ordered the kit with one transmitter and one receiver, perfect for moto vlogging.
Nice.
What will you recommend exactly for iPhone 16 pro , Hollyland lark M2, or dji Mini ? Thanks
I’ve never used the other brand so I can’t really say either way, but I can say that I’m very happy extremely happy with the DJI mic mini
Thanks Shawn!
Thanks for watching. I appreciate the support. 😊

WOW! Impressive! Glad I ran into your channel!
This is fantastic

Mic2: internal recording, external mic input, touchscreen on receiver.
It has 32 bit float audio. More settings can be changed right on the receiver. You can plug a Lavalier directly into the transmitter. Among a few other features, I might make a comparison video to help those decide which one is best for them.
That distance test was awesome. Thanks for the video
Yeah, really good range for such a tiny little microphone. No break up at all.
@AirPhotography NOW I'm thinking how it will sound on my motorcycle. Hmmm
Süper
Am I able to record audio from two sound sources with the $169 bundle?
nice review and well explained about the accessories that comes in with mic mini, i have already ordered, and excited to test these with my osmo action 5 pro
Incredible microphone for the price really. Thanks for watching.
Verygood review Shaun
Thank you
Great tutorial as always.
Thank you
Thank you very much
They had to compete with roode. Roode has a cool mini this is my first time seeing this about dji
Awesome…. Will this work with a GoPro 13? Thanks for all the info!
Yes, indeed it will as long as you’re using the microphone adapter or the media mod if using the receiver. Bluetooth connectivity should work as well. I haven’t tested it yet, but I am going to do that today
@ Aws, look forward to seeing what you find!
Have you tested if it connects to the Insta360 Ace Pro with Bluetooth?
Not yet it is on my list but should work with any Bluetooth capable device
@@AirPhotography That would be cool. I use DJI Mic2 at the moment, but this new mini looks a bit better for the use I have for it. Looking forward to your test.
Hi shawn can this work with mavic 3 pro thanks from 🇬🇧
I’m not quite sure what you mean do you mean connecting to the controller?
Will it work with DJI neo with an RC2 controller for?
I’m not sure about that. I will look into it. Paired to a phone it would work
Can the Mini or Mic2 transmitters also be clipped on coldshoes?
Yes, indeed they can
did i overlook internal recording and no 3.5mm port in case you want to plug another clip mic into it?
This is only possible with the Mic 2.
That is correct there is no internal recording with the mic mini. And there’s no audio jack on the transmitter for plugging in a lav
Can it be used in osmo action 3?
Yes, the transmitter can be used by plugging directly into the USB-C port. But not the Bluetooth capability of pairing just one of the transmitters single.
can you use it with the receiver from the mic 2?
This I want to know as well, should be possible as these mics claim compatibility with "Osmo Audio".
Unfortunately, they are not compatible
@@AirPhotography what a bummer!
is it compatible with DJI action 4?
Yes, indeed, both the transmitter can be plugged in or the transmitters can be paired via Bluetooth or what they’re now calling osmo audio
With USB-C can it be connected the DJI -RC???
That’s a good question. I’ll look into that.
@@BoReynolds I cannot see why not . if the mic 2 does it through the USB plug then this one will . The connection will be the same . The only trouble you might have is your limited on the adjustments on this one when it comes to transmitter and receiver adjustment compared to mic 2
Can the Mini transmitter connect to the Mic2 receiver?
Unfortunately, no, they are not compatible
dji mic hotshoe compatible ?
I don’t think so
Is it possible to connect to DSLR Camera?
Yes, indeed you would use the included TRS cable to plug into your camera
I have one now, testing it out. But i can’t connect it to the Mimo app 😅
Did you update the app? They released an update overnight to make it compatible
@ worked 🙏 is it only the trasmitters or can i Connect the receiver aswell?
Soooooo nice!
Indeed, it is
Bro DJI MIC 1 still has better audio, i like they lower the quality from 2 and mini
🤝😎
The sound quality you won't be as good as the mic2 ( mic 2 is 32bit )
Can you pass through the device when the receiver is connected?
For me, there is ZERO reason to go with this option. No 32-bit float. DJI Mic 2 blows this away. I was hoping DJI would release a 360º action camera.
