I sometimes forget smash players don't like two word terms, so when he kept saying he "dair'd" a pikmin, I kept thinking "the fuck did he dare it to do? Fuck around and find out?"
Not smash players, just people in general. SoulCalibur notation turns "down-forward vertical" into "3B" or Tekken notation would be "DF(1/2/3/4) depending on attacks.". Look at chess, and the notation used in that.
It's nice to simplify things, makes it easier for everyone, hence why it's done in just about every sport/game.

@@Hibernial Depends, it's a platform fighter but It's definitely an original platform fighter, so it feels nothing like smash. If you're gonna pick it up don't go in with the expectation of "this is a smashlike ! :D"

I have never played smash before I have zero idea what is going on in these videos but I watch for HBox anyways because he makes the clips 10x funnier.
He's one of the greatest competitive Smash Melee players in history. So he's pretty damn well informed when he see's this insane stuff go down lmao
You should play it! Its really fun and competitive and you can make friends too. Though some parts of the comunity can be toxic its a pretty good comunity. I recommend super smash bros ultimate the most.

21:48 You can infinitely Luigi Ladder in Ultimate too. It carries you to the top of the blast zone, but doesn't kill you. If you can break the camera though, you can see that the Luigi's continue going up somehow, even though technically they're still within the stage camera.
You can do it in every Smash and he know that .
He just wanted to talk about a glitch in Corneria (Melee)
Because your high in the sky ,doing right above the stage will put you under the stage .
It happen because of limitation on the console .
Similar glitch can happen in other game like Super Mario Bros. 1 etc... (2d game (Smash are 3d but only playable on the 2d) It happen in a lot of 8-bits/16-bits game .
It happen on Corneria only because there is ... Let's say a height of 100 .Most of the stages will be set on like 10/15 ,but Corneria will be on 90 .
You could do it on other stages but it would requires a lot of times

At 3:00, when the Samus make the under stage recovery, Ike smiles as his mind is blown and lets his guard down, then he tries to srs up and make a movement w half commitment and Samus was just ZONED into the game so much
MLGF’s reaction to that Samus comeback on him was awesome. Too impressive to be salty about.
The best part about the 1st one is that in smash 4 there’s a 1/3 chance the tech just won’t work so that fox actually got decently lucky about that
I think there are certain moves that put you into the spiral animation which makes you not able to tech but I don't think marths up b can do that

Certain moves in Smash 4 put you in a 'corkscrew state'. If you were in that animation you could not tech. I believe the odds of it happening depend on the move and what percent the opponent is at when hit. Marths up b might not induce the corkscrew state.
You can tech out of the corkscrew animation, just not on the ground (tech-chases are luck-based, but stage-spikes aren't). If you go frame-by-frame on the second hit (the one that brought him from 113% to 123%), you can even see that animation happen here.

Honestly that double fox clip is amazing. Specifically because their angles were bad for doing anything except what they did.
In the span of a second they needed to analyze that their chance of solo recovery is low, come to the conclusion that the best option is to try to go for that crazy play, and have enough trust in the other player to do the same and execute it well.
Plus they had to have close enough timings to actually collide, and I'd assume they had to fight their muscle memory pretty hard to aim at an unusual angle like that

I had to rewatch samus' infinite wall jump to realize that you have start to charge her beam then instantly cancel pivot into the wall to wall jump again. It's a pretty broken move but might be arguably fair considering how many inputs it requires. Btw I stopped playing PM years ago.
