He'd had one more heart attack after "Life Is Worth Losing" (2005), and he looked a lot more tired and frail here, but he still pulled off a great (final) show here.
One time I desperately wanted to get off the phone, after many times of trying I got kinda fed up and yelled holy shit my cats on fire I gotta go "click"
I saw George Carlin live, just before he passed away. He did this same bit. But the part where he said "Blow it out your ass" he said "Shut the fuck up!" Over and over. Cracked me up. I was a HUGE fan for years. Glad I got to see him. Not knowing he would be dead only a month after.
I miss him, but he paid his dues. He saw and spoke about more than enough for one man, and he deserves his rest. Here's to his spiritual successor! Whoever the hell that may be.
It's absolutely amazing how George can not only Remember but string so many ( some of them very complicated ) words together into a tapestry of complex stories of laughter especially as he grows older, you might think he would miss a beat here and there but he never does........he's Phenomenal!!! Thank you George for the BRUTAL TRUTH not only as you see it but as it really is. PS. I miss you 🎸💚
A great process is to approach the tapestry like you're writting an album's worth of song lyrics. Write it, read aloud while recording, listen to the recording until you can "sing" along then listen to it some more. There will come a point where you couldn't forget it if you tried. The real challenge is good writing.
+Kewl Jack It's a shame that Millenials aren't taught the rudiments of logic. You stated "EVERY commenter" which includes you as you are a commenter and EVERY means, er, every. No logic and no sense of humor, but you still get a C because your post was grammatical and everything was spelled correctly.
I acknowledge your joke and, thinking it was funny, made a remark on my own intelligence (or lack there of). I never took offense. I actually laughed at my own oversight. If it was not a joke, too bad. I still thought it was funny
Nah, I ruined it for me. I expected too much. It was my fault for holding beliefs that were so fragile in the first place. Accept people for what they are and get on with your life.
Someone started talking my ear off and I tried really politely to get him to stop and tried to be diplomatic. Then I pulled out my smart phone and hit play on this.
If he said the kind of things that most people talk about, the whole audience would be angry and bored within seconds. He had to make the story at least a little funny.
You can tell in this show his body was breaking down and, in retrospect, showing signs the end was near, but that mind was still in top form. Just off this clip alone, “listen, Reverend?” and “…Russell Crowe!” are two of his funniest lines ever.
This is a BIG problem when I’m busy at work. People don’t realize when to shut the fuck up or get off the phone. This bit should be part of every job orientation.

@@sarahwright7076 years of smoking and cocaine in the 70s-90s
He did look 80 but had a 40 year old mind
He'd had one more heart attack after "Life Is Worth Losing" (2005), and he looked a lot more tired and frail here, but he still pulled off a great (final) show here.
@@ShadesBelow03absolutely. one of his finest performances in my humble opinion.
George has a keen grip on people.
He's either 11 or 5 😂😂😂😂😂
One time I desperately wanted to get off the phone, after many times of trying I got kinda fed up and yelled holy shit my cats on fire I gotta go "click"
Interesting if true.
I would have called back to see if the cats were okay.
This world needs more George Carlins
The best we can do now is Jorge Carlitos
This segment sums up this era almost.
One of the greatest human beings to ever bless this planet!! Rip George
Great story, thank you.
I miss him, but he paid his dues. He saw and spoke about more than enough for one man, and he deserves his rest. Here's to his spiritual successor! Whoever the hell that may be.
That one lady laughed so hard her bush caught on fire.
I’ve been to mammoth cave numerous times and I’ve enjoyed telling people my trips there. I nearly died from laughter while watching this
Iwatched this so many times..still has me in tears of laughter....love this guy..
He’s basically the Socrates of our generation with all that wisdom
Nietzsche
Wisdom with laughter.
I think he's more Diogenes than Socrates
hell fucking yeah
Schopenhauer
Gosh I miss him.. can you IMAGINE what he would say today? Hes so funny..man, hes the best...
I can't imagine what kind of great material George would have been giving us if he was still alive...
Truly believe this is Carlin's best bit, every line is perfectly delivered and gut wrenchingly funny
I love the way performs stand up. He never cracks a smile, which I think makes it funnier
Tru, Ive never noticed that until now! O.o
This was great, can relate to this, lady at work talks about her daughter and her husband all the time, I know more about them than anyone else.
I know all about people I will never meet..
It's absolutely amazing how George can not only Remember but string so many ( some of them very complicated ) words together into a tapestry of complex stories of laughter especially as he grows older, you might think he would miss a beat here and there but he never does........he's Phenomenal!!! Thank you George for the BRUTAL TRUTH
not only as you see it but as it really is.
It's only ever intelligent people who talk about this sort of thing. Glad George Carlin was one of them.
Eaty McEatison define narcissistic
Frogballs Arkansas Lol
It's a small town just north of Magazine Mountain, take Route 10 and look for the dirt road turn off just after the abandoned trailer park ...
Don't know of a Frogballs Arkansas. But, Toad Suck Park Arkansas definitely exists.
RIP George Carlin. A really good comedian for all generations. I wish I could find someone like him on TH-cam nowadays
What a visionary. A true legend
Every commenter in this video is the smartest, most intellectual person in the world
Except you.
+chris leonard who said I was?
+Kewl Jack It's a shame that Millenials aren't taught the rudiments of logic. You stated "EVERY commenter" which includes you as you are a commenter and EVERY means, er, every. You were sneering that people automatically assume they are not the people George I lampooning, and I made a joke.
I still thought it was funny
chris leonard also, if you thought I am a millennial you're off by ~ten years
I feel the same. No tolerance for bullshit
I laugh my ass off when he delivers his routine but in the end he always makes me think...such is the greatness of this man...the master Carlin
Never tire of hearing this man
Best comic ever ,that made you laugh and think at same time ...horribly missed
"She was lighting her farts & her bush caught fire."
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
hahahahahahaha
"Listen, listen reverend..."
I used to like people.
Then people ruined it for me
@Totally not the flash :3 brand new sentence
I used to like people
I mean, I still do. But I also used to
Nah, I ruined it for me. I expected too much. It was my fault for holding beliefs that were so fragile in the first place. Accept people for what they are and get on with your life.
When he said Mammoth Cave, KY I actually got spooked because im a local guide for the cave system here.
I love how your pfp is anime which is the last thing id expected from a cave guide
Went caving there one time. It was a blast!
Did you find the dinosaur turd?
Do you have the 27lb’er?
Ayyye what up. I’m in Cave City and Glasgow all the time!
Someone started talking my ear off and I tried really politely to get him to stop and tried to be diplomatic. Then I pulled out my smart phone and hit play on this.
This guy has nailed my sentiments towards people.
The thing is that story was honestly kind of interesting 😂
I know lmfao. Hes a fucker
I wish most of the bullshit people talk about was this interesting
If he said the kind of things that most people talk about, the whole audience would be angry and bored within seconds. He had to make the story at least a little funny.
You can tell in this show his body was breaking down and, in retrospect, showing signs the end was near, but that mind was still in top form. Just off this clip alone, “listen, Reverend?” and “…Russell Crowe!” are two of his funniest lines ever.
This is a BIG problem when I’m busy at work. People don’t realize when to shut the fuck up or get off the phone. This bit should be part of every job orientation.
Oh my god when he was giving examples of the conversations boring people have I couldn't help but think that I'm one of those boring people but it's ok I'll find new hobbies and things that'll make life more interesting!
I wish you luck
Cool story
Thats the spirit!👍
George Carlin was spot on about having to have patience with other people, make's me cringe just thinking about it, and the whole time your thinking how do I get out of this conversation?? 💯👍😁💕
George Carlin. I think I speak for everyone when I say we need you now more than ever. Rest In Peace my good Man.
