Thanks for the great tips. Innovative exercises! Other more common exercises that come to mind for me are push-ups, lat pulldowns or (assisted) pull-ups, jump squats and lunges. Also, stretching all muscle groups is important for range of motion.

Hi, I am wondering whether or not Ian is touching the ground with his knee in the first exercise?

I think a slow and controlled movement light touch or not will be perfection! Slow and mythical. Controlling you movement is the key!

definitely cool exercises, especially #1 and #3. Not sure about #2 ... I don't want to spend that much time on the ground! I'm having problems with my forearms and wrists. This is tendon/arthritis/tennis-elbow related and probably more of a middle-aged problem. But I hear lots of people complaining about it. I figure strengthening my core and shoulders while using a harness might be a way to reduce the forearm stress.

I have dealt with elbow tendon problems for over 30 years, starting with rock climbing. Wing foiling can be really hard on those tendons and I have heard of others with the same complaint. A friend referred me to Dr. Julian Saunders, who has a website with recommendations and exercises. Google his name and you should be able to find it. Following his recommended treatment has really helped me.

Hi i was wondering if you could give some advice.
    I recently bought a 11.5m 2011 (i think) best kahoona kite
And a 2012 9m fone most wanted bandit both with bars and lines. The kites themselves look structurally sound but im concerned about breaking lines or the chicken loop not working 'under preasure' they both work when tested.
Should i replace them? And if so with what? Can i simply get new lines? Do i need to check anything else? Not a lot of people kite around me and the nearest kite shop is about 100miles away.

Hey most like lines are rated 600LB and have a kevlar inside. Make sure all lines are equal. Chicken loop opens only in emergencies or when you land kite solo, so even on 10 year old kite chance that is worn out is little.

Samuel, Best option is go out in very light winds and test everything, active all the safety's to make sure everything is working in a safe location. Lines are very strong but those are some old kites anything is possible! 10 years is a long time. Enjoy and be safe!
