Mazda3 (2014-2018) Front Brake Replacement | Mexican Assembled Car

  • How I changed the front brakes on my 2015 Mazda 3 (Assembled in Mexico)
    Tools needed:
    -Car Jack and Stands
    -Torque Wrench and 21mm socket (wheel removal, mistakenly said / put 19mm in video)
    -Breaker bar
    -14 mm socket / wrench
    -Wire brush
    -Flat head screwdriver / small pry bar
    -Slip head pliers
    -Anti-Seize and brake grease
    -Zip ties (for holding caliper - optional)
    -Disc brake caliper wind back kit: amzn.to/3pSViGU
    Parts (Note that there is a difference between Japanese and Mexican assembled Mazda 3 (at least for this generation 2014-2018).
    Parts were purchased from RockAuto.com.
    Front Pads (Hardware Included): Raybestos MGD1759CH (R-Line)
    Front Rotors: Bosch 34011591

    Pregunta, para cambiar las balatas de un modelo 2017, son el mismo tipo y tamaño las balatas delantersas que las traseras??

      No. Different part numbers between the front and rears. Also different part numbers based on where the Mazda 3 was assembled. :(

    Are the bottom clips optional on the break pads

      Not sure what exactly you are referring to. The brake pad guide plates/clips (that the ears of the brake pad itself sit in) are required. The squealer usually goes on the inner pad, usually required as well. The brake shims are on the back of the pads should also be used.
