I’m a woman in trades and I agree, men and women are different, but the differences seem unimportant to me. I never go into an interaction with another person making assumptions about them cause they’re a man or woman because it’s hard to form an honest friendship that way. The connections we have trump gender bar none. But when I’m having a hard time with something, I don’t feel afraid to ask for help. I don’t feel afraid of being perceived as weak or small even when I ask my male coworkers to help me out if something’s really heavy or too high, because that says nothing about either of us except that we support each other.

But it's obvious that fights/disagreements are not just physical. The woman can protect his man emotionally/mentally. You would still have to discuss if men and women were of the same importance and deserving of the same treatment in different situations. That answer would still be no, because, for example: when it comes to child birth, women are more important than men. So the arguement still falls apart under closer examination. Even in general, men and women aren't equal. Why do you think we say "save the women and children first?" That definitely is a difference in what type of treatment we deserve. Maybe if the definition we used for "equal" was "having adequate powers, ability, or means," then I could see an arguement for that being true. Maybe, but again, closer examination is required.

This is actually VERY accurate. One time, I was supposed to look after my cousins while my Aunty went out for the night. I went to have a smoke out the back and when I came back inside they were ALL GONE. All their doors were open and it looked like there was a struggle because their sheets on their beds were all messed up. I freaked out and almost called the police but my “girlfriend” at the time quickly messaged me saying “took the kids out to McDonald’s. Be back soon.” I thought my cousins were abducted but then I came to realise that I’m just a terrible babysitter lmao

I’m a woman in trades and I agree, men and women are different, but the differences seem unimportant to me. I never go into an interaction with another person making assumptions about them cause they’re a man or woman because it’s hard to form an honest friendship that way. The connections we have trump gender bar none. But when I’m having a hard time with something, I don’t feel afraid to ask for help. I don’t feel afraid of being perceived as weak or small even when I ask my male coworkers to help me out if something’s really heavy or too high, because that says nothing about either of us except that we support each other.
If the differences are unimportant to you, and you believe that men and women are both valuable and neither is inherently better or worse than the other, then congratulations, you believe men and women are equal.

But it's obvious that fights/disagreements are not just physical. The woman can protect his man emotionally/mentally. (And vice versa according to personal relationships,personality etc).Which is more important? Physical well-being or mental well-being? Both. Without either, we can't function properly. If men build roads, buildings etc, women build homes, families etc. You could say "not every woman builds a home" but I could also say "not every man builds a buildng". Basically it's a complex process. It depends on a lot of factors about who will play certain roles. And ofc the role you might think is "small" could be "big" to me and vice versa. But still the role played, will be of importance. So is it worth it to fight about who's superior? To me, it's not.
