Cutting Hay(Cereal Rye) and Next Lambing of 2021!

In this video you will see us cutting fall rye for hay. Jeff also takes you into the sheep barn to see if any more ewes have started lambing and also shows you our 3 in 1 feeder which is being used to feed our weaned lambs. We also show us setting up and moving fences for the sheep on pasture. We try to move them every three days.

We do lots of grazing from May till Nov depending on the growing season.

Another GR8 video. Looks like with upcoming lambs you will stay busy. At what weight do you market your lambs ?

A lot of the females go as breeding stock. They usually get shipped to customers at around 100 lbs. For the ram lambs that don't make the grade as breeding rams I often will ship some light if the price looks right. However, this year we are bringing most of them up to 90 lbs plus because the market seems good enough to put the feed into them. I guess it changes according to the markets...

Yes, in the last week here we've gotten some warmer weather and things are really growing fast right now.
