While 2D Apollo’s animation looks cleaner, the end of his 3D animation makes his eyes seem as though they are looking off into space, which, complimented by the bewildered expression, I believe makes for a funnier overall animation.

Ive noticed this too! In fact, they share a lot of reactions when they're in a similar mood. This was an early video plan of mine, to showcase sprites of lamiroir and trucy doing similar or even identical poses when they're the feeling the same emotion. But i kinda dont do that anymore so its just there in the back of my head now
why do hugh o’connor and sorin sprocket look exactly alike......... like hugh’s design wasn’t all that unique but capcom should’ve remembered when developing the soj dlc that they already MADE a young man with straight blue-black hair, some cowlicks, round glasses, and a book kept on hand. they could’ve so easily not made hugh 2: electric hughgaloo but they did anyway.
