2:10 это?!
Crazy to see someone not only making videos of MGSV in 2023 but also editing them into great entertainment.
The game series no matter what game u play is timeless
I felt the same way. This is so impressive
facts
Personally I consider such edits awful. Very erratic, full with constant picture changing. It seems like targeted at audience with short focus span.
@@hadeseye2297 i see where you're coming from, would be cool if he streamed this and uploaded an unedited version then uploaded this, i would've watched the full unedited one. But editing like this is necessary if you want views
I think that guards' vision would be realistic if they can see you from a bit more distsnce from vanilla's one. And that's because from 200 meters you can't say if the guy, who is simply walking, he's an enemy or just some comrade on a patrol
Yea all the soviets you evacuate you would think snake could use a uniform in the field!!!
Personally, anything between 150-200% sight scale is perfect
At 300%, your options are severely limited and the game just devolves into crawling sim with sniping
@@it6647 130% is way enough, I used to play with 150 but 130 is more realistic. Snipers and alerted guards can see you from an enourmous distance. On the other hand normal guards, who simply see a guy walking down the main street of an outpost from more than 100 meters away, do not go to investigate and they do not shout the alarm for anything
@@sergioriggio1769 i have played with 150 and that's what I do prefer
But 130 is good too
Personally, I wish infinite heaven allowed us to tweak not just how far guards see but rather the distances at which a stance is seen
Currently, crawling is too OP, which is wHY I want to buff crouching and nerf crawling just enough
@@it6647 I'm still of the idea that 130 is better but I agree with you about crawling and rolling. Seeing someone crawling on the ground is way stranger than seeing someone walking like any normal human being! Crawling should only matter if you move behind small cover or if you are very far away from the enemy, something like 300 mts away
Standing outside a Outpost just out of range I always think to myself "This guy has been standing there staring at an empty desert for 12 hours now, and the only people outside this outpost he has seen are his reliefs every two weeks. He is this close to fainting even without me doing anything. I am well rested and prepared."
bro same, those lads being on duty like 12 hours straight with food and drink, just idk cigs and going to take a shit every once in a while, no wonder those tranqs do all the trick
I've got more than 2000 hours in MGSV, out of those around 500 were with hardcore mods which increase guard vision. Eventually i came to the conclusion that they don't enhance the gameplay in a good way because the levels weren't designed for that. For example the giant bridge in the Honey Bee mission, becomes actually nigh impossible to cross unnoticed. Overall it just makes the gameplay more grindy, since you have to crawl slowly all the time.
I really liked playing with invisible markings however, no longer being able to track enemies through walls changes your approach entirely, but it's still very playable and not "grindy".
either crawl everywhere or you wait for a sandstorm to hit.
Damn, a stealth game that actually requires you to be stealthy? who'd have thought!!
The "stealth" element in this game is a joke. It's overly-simplified and unrefined. It's literally you're seen or you're not.
-The sight range is NEVER consistent.
-The sound distinction is NEVER consistent.
-The MISS CLEO alert system would be laughable were it not completely outdated and retarded.
-Except for the flood lights, light source and camoflauge functionality are nonexistent.
-Sound detection and sound sourcing again completely bogus. They instantaneously pinpoint silenced ranged weapons from over 100+ meters, no problem.
Please, don't praise garbage. This games "stealth" logic is significantly worse than it's N.E.S. predecessor's. There's no excuse for a modern game to be applauded for it's subpar mediocrity in every performance aspect, especially what it's supposed to be predicated as - a stealth game.
@@judahsoremy9857 Where in my sarcastic comment was I "praising" this game? Christ on a stick, dude, touch grass.
@@judahsoremy9857took bro to yapperville for making a joke💀
@@MaelstromTheDemon "Touch grass"? I'm sure that stoner comment has been used over a trillion time in just this past month alone. Say something original, you mindless drone.
I was agreeing with you using specificity and elucidation, instead of using sarcasm in the unintentional and unlikely prospect that it may be deemed as undeserved praise for something replete in mediocrity.

This video is funny, but I think it also highlights another pretty important point IMO: fun should always trump realism. I don't care if a game is the most realistic as long as it is fun.
Well... Okay, but different game genres have different goals that are supposedly dictated by what the player base would consider "fun" and so maybe it is fair to assume a stealth experience should be punishing to players who stand directly in the enemies' sightline.
@@futurestorytellerTrue.
@@futurestorytellerMetal Gear has always been about fun. The guy uses a cardboard box for stealth for Christ sake.
@@rayrd3927 ...and?
@@futurestoryteller fun will always win over realism, kinda slow aren’t you?
Never smile at a crocodile.
I mean, I always thought the guards had pretty good eye sight compared to other games, for example in alot of stealth games crouching makes you near invisible, but in this one you gotta know how to properly sneak around while crouched or you will be spotted, its just like standing but your frame is down a bit. But that all goes FLYING out the window when you are proned. When camouflaged, they won't spot the giant 6'1 man known as Venom Snake, even when literally 2m away (if in dark, w/o dark its like 5m but still). Its crazy. Still, this games stealth is better/harder then most other games, atleast in my opinion.
2 meters away? You must be getting lucky! In the game without mods, you will always get spotted/alert at 7 meters with stealth mode. Even with the proper camouflage. However, I have mods that make camouflage useful, but albeit a little over powered.
@@typicalasianguy1805which mod do you use
Camo revamp or camo overhaul?
@@it6647 There are four camouflage mod packs you can download. Which are MGS3, MGS4, MGS5 and MGS Peace Walker. MGS4 Is the one I use and is the most overpowered. MGS3 is more realistic but has some inconsistencies. But wear the wrong camouflage and enemies will go alert at 60 meters or more while you’re moving crouched/standing and if you are prone and still enemies will still get suspicious of you if they are close.
Oh yeah each of the packs should change the sneaking suits too! Such as for MGS3 the sneaking suits have a camouflage buff on any environment, and it should affect DLC camouflage patterns too. Hell, if you want to wear the golden or silver suit, go for it as an added challenge.
If you're using MGS4, I recommend you to wear the "gravel" camouflage to blend in with the majority of Afghanistan. Apparently "desert fox," and "desert ambush" or the majority of desert camouflage doesn't work in Afghanistan and is ONLY meant for PURE sand. To which, there isn't a lot of enemies where there is pure sand.
If you're in Africa, woodland is really nice to blend in with dirt/muddy environments. You don't even need foliage, just lay there and stay still. Tiger Stripe (red) and (golden) are good options for Africa as well. And so is many of the greenery camouflage too.
Edit: I forgot to include that Woodland is excellent at blending in with trees. So, leaves/wood. Urban environments that have wooden floors you can blend in with perfectly with the camouflage.
Enemies are going to have to be around 1-2 meters to spot you and it will take them a second or two to actually go "Oh snap that's a person laying right there!" However, that's only if you're in the right terrain. Oh yeah that's right. There is certain camouflage that can blend in with terrain without foliage and camouflage that needs the right terrain but also foliage to blend in.
I've done a lot of testing and if you're going to use the pack, I recommend you to test the camouflage patterns to see which one is effective. Many soldiers have died to me by me kicking them to wake them up and then laying down to see if they see me or not. May they rest in peace.

This actually makes the game so much more fun hahaha
Yeah, but It might be unplayable at certain points.
In some instances, like the sniper fight with the Parasite Unit on Extreme is dastardly and impossible.@@manny7662

MGSV content of this quality in 2023? I'm so happy to see it! You're also a madman for attempting this whilst wearing Oliver Drab camo in Afghanistan.

FML... The mind bending headaches. Realistic line of sight has to be brutal
To be fair, MGSV and Dishonored 2 already had the best NPC's visibility and detection rate to this date. No next-gen stealth game come close to these games
This looks really interesting gameplay wise, forces a lot of on the fly decisions. This also makes using MB Support via artillery/smoke pretty vital as a means to move around and lay down suppression to get around during combat
Seeing this pop into my feed in this day and age is wild, nice job!
Took me a minute to recognize one of the tracks. It's from vr training
Glad to see you back looking forward to more vids!
Thank you for this content, funny af. Currently playing MGSV for the first time, and loving every second of it
So slickly edited! Also I appreciated the Limmy references
This is such quality content, I'm loving this!
See, now this is how this game should be played. Each MGS game should have this setting available, named "Actually Realistic", like the range of vision for everyone being like a normal human, actual human health, etc.. Now this would be fun!
Realistic human health is easy
I did a playtrough with 400% vision and hearing snake health 20% and enemy helth 150%. It was pretty brutal lol
Realistic stealth isn't fun at all. The gameplay becomes a chore when you realize that 80% of your toolkit is useless.

This looks amazing. This is the hardcore stealth I have always wanted
great video! I'm happy to see high quality videos on metal gear in 2023.
damn
I wonder about a possibility of a more sophisticated mod for sight range for enemies: the possibility of, in addition to increasing it wholesale, increasing it temporarily/conditionally, when immediately alerted: so while enemies won't spot you from a certain distance, they might keep track of you past the distance of spotting you, or be able to see you from further ahead if you are pointed out by being fired upon by other guards.
That kind of already happens. If you look at the soldier parameters tables you see that there are different vision range values for different levels of alertness. You can even edit it manually through infinite heaven.
Happy to see MGSV content! Subscribed
I love stuff like this. The reallistic aspect makes every victory very rewarding
"it's just like CSGO, it's just like CSGO...
Wait, bad smoke
It's just like CSGO"
i feel that
Amazing video bro, I like your style a lot!
Dude! Great video, one of the better ones for sure:)
It'll take atleast 6 months to recover from a gunshot wound
Just land to the north of the base, head towards the cliff north of it, grab your sniper, wait for the commander to come out and headshot him
Yeah, I was thinking the same the whole time, this mission doesn't require that much work. He should try doing a hostage extraction side-op in OKB0 like that.
The enemy voicelines you added makes this 100 times more funnier! I would love to see more videos like this
great video, keep them coming
To me the problem is more the cone vision they have when people usually see on a 180° radius. You can also usually tell when someone is near you if they're not directly behind your back. I know that doesn't make for good gameplay but it should at least increase the chances of them suddenly turning around just to make sure
Yeaah, their peripheral vision is crap
I've been playing Ghost recon breakpoint for "Realistic Stealth game" in a couple of months til finished, I forgot how amazing this game was in 2015.
It has a better AI, story, method stealth, and everything.
man I love this content, keep it up!! new sub
Glad you put the guards through some genome theraphy.
This video highlights the biggest gripes I have with MGSV: very little indoor action, dumb AI and low difficulty, overall a too heavy reliance on combat rather than stealth. If we upped the damage, brought back MGS3 health and stamina system, camouflage system and imported MGS2’s room clearing and soldier tactics the game would be so much better.
I want Fob invasions with more emphasis on interiors and land bases. The expanding even more on the base management and more options for fob invasions/defenses
The Max Payne sfx are killing me lol
Nice! Good gameplay, good editing, fair challenge!
Nice editing my man
This is a good way to make the game as unenjoyable as possible
Oh boy
He's back an there's no croc ready for this
15:46 HAHA I didn't expect to hear cantonese here
you can actually knock out guards with throwing the magazine directly at their head instead of using decoys.
crawling simulator,
the prequel to walking simulator
They should have made a custom difficulty settings where you can tune the vision distance, reaction speed and all that things in the base game... It's good this game can be modded on a Master Race at least =D
can't believe you're still mgs posting, i remember your streams from like a decade ago
The guards already have realistic vision if they can see a man fully dressed in black in the middle of the night 400m away (true story)
we need more of this
Please make this a series por favor
Genuinely hilarious editing
With a realistic vision mod, I can’t help but keep thinking how much more important- yet how much more challenging completing missions at hour 1800 would still be.
Killing it with these outros
Maybe the creators should make that defaults on the highest difficulty settings I feel
Now you need to mod the damage, cause no way in hell you take so many bullets and survive.
i haven't even watched the video yet but
i applaud you for including a canadian TV rating exactly how I remember them from when I watched TV as a kid
MGS5 is a weird game that require you to play every level 3 times:
1) Initial run
2) Getting all the side objectives
3) S-rank a.k.a. speedrun
This is what it feels like to play Arma 3 with high level bots.
that was crazy
I was just thinking about how this would be an awesome mod, and then this video came up
That was pretty good
I really wanted the game to be like this. Sadly, the vanilla MGSV is extremely easy and doesn't require the level of skill from previous titles.
Not really... try doing an entire mission with only crouch walking with no traces
@@revolverocelot9891 I didn't want to be stealthy just for a score reward. I wanted to be stealthy because the game forced me to. In war scenarios like Angola and Afghanistan, I wanted the game to force me to be stealthy and cautious with an overwhelming enemy, and to use the guns blazing option ONLY as a last resort, for the sake of realism.
Instead, the game encourages you to go both ways and only punishes you with a lower score after each mission.
I need a MGS: Dark Souls Edition. Brutal difficulty like this.

MGSV honestly spoils us. Trying playing The Last Of Us today and seeing how close you can get in stealth mode before an enemy soldier (human, not infected) notices you.
Congratulations you turned MGS into Arma.
The DB music in the intro was the cherry on top.
Playing MGSV in 2023. Mad respect.
Congrats, bro :D You accidentaly re-invented Arma experience
Wow, always thought of this! Nice nice nice
As someone who is interested in the Afghan war, I wonder where the Afghans are at MGSV. The location of the game is not disclosed. The game could just as well have taken place in Turkmenistan or Uzbekistan.
P.S.:
There is little Soviet music in the game😢
