- Welcome. Today we are back in the Netherlands to join the crew of this mobile intensive care unit. They are departing from the Dijklander Hospital in the city of Hoorn, about 30 kilometers north of Amsterdam, and following the A7 highway heading south. The ambulance will be escorted by a team of police officers on motor bikes and we will be tagging along for the first few kilometers of this trip. We will be witnessing the teamwork of the escorting officers from the paramedic's point of view.

This is with the old micu 13302, the Volvo has been sold since.
In the description of the original is a link to the last part of this ride
Yet another interesting video. Every nation has its strengths and weaknesses but I love this particular trait of the Dutch- they give their best to save every life they can. Nothing but admiration for the people on this video and I wish speedy recovery for the patient 👍
Another trait worthy of admiration is that their police motorcycles are totally badass. I wish we had those here in NYC
Fun fact, the commander's bike has it's blue torchlicht on the back turned off to not blind the ambulance driver.
Finally a commentator who knows what he is talking about as compared to others - no names - doing the same thing. By the way, the officer wearing a red vest is an instructor.
Take a look at some of the footage made during the military police day 2024 where a group of MP's lead groups of motorcyclists through traffic. These groups consist of experienced and inexperienced riders, regular motorcycles and trikes and can be up to 100-150 riders large. I participated for the first time this year and was definitely impressed!
I have seen a number of these videos, but never thought of this type of scenario, Very interesting. Always good to see the emergency services in a positive light, whatever the country,
Nice to have an observant and educated public on road.
ngl i've waited so long to find a channel that post's these types of vids daily keep em up❤
Thank you!😊
Amazing Video! Keep postinf more, You will make it!!
Thank You!
Appreciatable service by police.
I really like this system. Greetings from germany.
I watch the original videos also but i enjoy your posts with your comments also ... keep it up :-)
Thanks!
On two occasions in My Life I have driven non Emergency Service Vehicles with 8 Motorcycle Police Escorts.
On one of these occasions the Escorts mistakenly attempted to take Me along a Roadway which had a Low Bridge and adjustments had to be quickly made when I refused to make the Turn and continued Straight Ahead.
For clarification: the officer in orange is a supervisor. Apparentely the other officers are still in training.
Good video, but would have been better without the annoying "music".
Perhaps more taffic than the poster is used to, but i nowhere i see chaos as the title implied
Big thanks to @jvo77 for this amazing video! 🚑
🚨 Do you own a first responder POV/dashcam video? DM us to be featured on the channel!🚓🚑🚒
Unfortunately where I work in Australia management doesn't allow us to fit or keep dashcam footage for personal use.
Strange, the cop in front didn't put his lights on.
He can switch front and rear separately to avoid flashing in my face
@@jvo77 The other bikes had them on - I don't think that's the reason. Probably forgot :)
@@AsiaGuy2025 I think as the driver of this particular ambulance during this ride I can safely say the policeman in front of the vehicle that is assisted always turns of the bleu lights on the back. This day started as a training day for me and the police, hence the Instructor with the hi-vis on
@@AsiaGuy2025 at 0:30 you can see the front lights are on of the biker infront of the ambulance in the reflection of the gray car.
Roundabouts in NL are much clearer marked. Uk more a chaos and drivers ise own interpretation of learning from 50 years ago. And uk has poor paint on roads. Third, world compared to NL.
We do not use paint, but a bitumen that we heat up to a temperature that makes it bond with the asphalt. It's quite an art to watch (I have made a picture series of roadworkers heating up the material (quite smelly stuff, and probably quite toxic as well), the trays meant to pull over the templates.
It looks really easy but I am 100% sure it is incredibly difficult to do.
jvo77 is amazing, he posts many of these types of videos given he is a MICU driver himself. Sadly not that many videos per year but definitely worth the subscription. Thanks for featuring one of his videos here as well.
As someone who almost died at 3 and 4 years of age, I can only say: Thank god he is incapable of making a lot of video's.
If it means he has a lot of them, it means more and more people are in deep trouble...
I much rather would not have that happen honestly :P .
03:37 Have to really, really, really to take over...... 04:31 Oh God, another one.....
One at 4:30 is because the police officer gestures for him to speed up and get out of the way.
damn the ambulance is driving slow
That was the point.
