The moment I saw the front end reflected in the rotoray I knew that as Rescue 50. I've been following FireRescue50's channel for a few years now and the folks at WSFC are an amazing bunch. They were going a little fast coming into the city but they cleared all their intersections properly as I've seen them do often. A great response all in all, and unfortunately not the last now that Lancaster City has closed one of their firehouses on the south side. Also I'd like to point out the officer at the end of the street when they arrived was actually local Fire Police. They are LEO's that are part of fire companies and assigned to traffic duty as well as guarding the apparatus on scene to deter theft of gear.
Well, duh, its nice that they got there quickly, but it was like what, 3 turns they had to make? I personally feel like driving in the USA would be easy mode for most of the world.
What make North America responses hard, is very low driver training standards. You will get some places where drivers will straight up ignore the sirens. Or will chase the vehicles as they go through traffic to attempt to bypass other traffic
The two traffic lights on Willow Street are automated to give the green light to emergency vehicles. Los dos semáforos de Willow Street están automatizados para dar luz verde a los vehículos de emergencia.
I live in NYC, I believe we have the worst drivers response to emergency vehicles out of anywhere I've seen. Nobody yields or makes way for ambulances, it's sad
Not sure about quite very high speed through the residental areas, with zero possible time to react for drivers not paying attention or pedestrians with headphones.
@@Borntobreach exactly that, areas in US are much larger and roads are much larger and yet the fire suppression and active rollout times are much worse when compared to european services.
The American fire trucks are the most beautiful in the world, as iconic as London buses, but the siren is the worst. That sound may be good for an evacuation but it is not suitable for use on the road, to understand the melody it takes half a minute and it is an eternity while driving.
@@Borntobreach Have you ever seen the gameshow "name that tune"? The fast melodies are recognised in less seconds, and when they ask to guess by playing the notes you need at least 3-4. a uniform sound is useless on the road: a person hears a noise, waits to hear the next tone to get confirmation of what he is hearing and in the meantime the truck is already behind him, I bet that when you happen to hear the sound you wait to see the truck in the mirror.
@stefanoballiero8319 in driving school, they teach you to assess the whole road around you (look in front, look in mirrors) so people are aware of their surroundings, so, if someone is paying attention, they'll see it
@stefanoballiero8319 that is also why they run electric sirens, they can change those tones while also having the q to get attention and the horn to say move, so it's a 3 part system
Big thanks to FireRescue50 for this video!🚒

Awesome driving, but European style stays the best💌

@@katcorot chase the vehicles, in The Netherlands you can get a fine for that.
No
@@MrShadow1617 no, not with the traffic, to drive in the U.S. is like trying to work with a bunch of toddlers who have money and jobs

What on earth is the spinning thing?
It's called a 'Roto-Ray', a spinning warning light.
@@BrianWhitlock-s6z saw a double on Ladder 65 but still don't see how that would help.
It is called a roto-ray and its purpose is to grab people’s attention
What's that spinning thing at the front of the fire truck for?
Look at the reply above.
The spinning thing in the front is called a roto-ray and it’s use is to grab drivers attention

Can you make how it looks in Italia and New York?

What is that spinning thing on the firetruck
It’s the pedestrian slicer. :)

It looks alot faster than it actually was. They probably weren't going more than 10 over at any one point and less in the city.
That is a spinning light it is like a new thing they added
Also called a Rotaray
Warum gibt es kein Timer
Sorry, next time😬
@@Emergency-POV ok
Nowhere near as quick as European firefighters, but still kudos to reaching the scene quicker than average.
thats because areas in the U.S. aren't small, you can only go so fast in certain places

Mou! because you now have me imagining a siren manufacturer named SMIL (Someone's Mother-In-Law).

No it’s the best and every American knows what it is
there is a reason, Its annoying as hell and that is the point

Ambulance blocking the way?? Hmmmm
But there's almost no traffic. Only parked cars.
a kid or something can run out or someone in an intersection can run a sign while being distracted
Lancaster = Amish county
