I've seen so many people play "The Night Shift" and Markiplier was the first one to nearly lock the killer in the refrigerator. Inadvertently too. That was great.

Mark is genuinely the only person I’ve ever seen beat the arcade game in night shift. Most people stop after the 2nd or 3rd level but he actually finished it and I’m impressed

Graveyard shift in retail is f***ing awesome though. I worked in a Love's Travel Stop graveyard while I was in grad school. The stretch of interstate got diverted so the Love's was basically had less than 2 years before it was moved or shut down. I would seriously have 1 maybe 2 customers the entire 10 hour shift. (The entire concept behind liminal spaces I experienced every night. You haven't lived until you hear a door slam on the other side of the establishment but you know you are the only one there, and it makes a "ding dong" when somebody comes in, so your mind instantly goes to Demon or Ghost)
I had time to study, do homework, write fan fic, watch movies, I even brought my PS3 (yes it was a while back) up there play COD. It was funny cuse towards the end of my stint there I had inadvertently started getting a crowd of locals who had nothing better to do coming up there and we had HALO and Madden tournaments. They where also buying tons of crap, so I had accidentally caused a massive spike in sales, drawing the attention of the actual Love Family. I was offered a promotion the week before I quit. Ahhh memories.

These are some creepy ass games, I love how Mark is never concerned about the thing hunting him seeing his light or him being more visible in the light. Just runs through turning all the lights on and sprinting around like a crazy man. Love the glowing item sparkle in the back of the toilet that somehow doesn't get seen by this man. Just right in his face in the center of the screen. Man goes blind sometimes.

I caught onto the references almost instantly, I was hoping he''d catch on when it brought up "Sugar Tunnel" especially with the arcade game sound effect when you're being chased. That sound effect has stuck with me for years. I can't believe him of all people didn't remember considering how shitpants scary it was.

@blake heilmann I get the sense Night Shift's protagonist and Roxanne are separate characters. Plenty of horror films start with a random person getting murdered by the main antagonist to establish them as a threat; I think Night Shift's just supposed to be a playable version of that.

These types of horror games are the scariest to me. They're just realistic enough to be terrifying. Having to navigate a house with very real threats is also nerve-wracking. Great game. I'd love to see Mark complete it

I\m grateful, given all the stuff he's working on, that he still takes time to make these videos. I used to watch my brother play games when i was little until he went into the military. After that I didn't have anyone, but I found TH-cam and I found Marks videos. I get the vibe his channel is winding down, at least slowing down a little due to so many projects, but I'm grateful he's not gone. Thanks, Mark.

Pretty sure I've seen Mark play this before. It was probably an earlier demo, I only remember the last part where you wake up in the cage inside the house. It's always interesting to see Mark come back to a game like this and see what's changed and what hasn't.

@@toxic_magic I believe he had played the Night Shift demo and maybe some demo of the house segment. The game fully released on steam in October with everything together. There’s a LOT to unpack now with about 4 endings. Hopefully mark plays through it.

Even if you don’t see this I just want to tell you that during hard times in my life. Breakups. Emotional times. Mental breakdowns. The hardest moments in the night I’ve watched you and got through it. And I mean the hardest. Split second from being not here I’ve made it through while watching you.
