Because free food means no payment for food. How do you think a restraunt keeps it's doors open . If the restraunt is filled woth homeless people ( wich it would be ) where would the paying customers sit ?
You have an extremely naive thought process . And I was once homeless myself .

Unfortunately on the legal part, it's American people's fault, they always want to see for everything, best example sewing McDonald's because the coffee ☕ was hot.

@@lindawilliams1750 Tammy and the owner of the establishment is going to run it into the ground with their mentalities. Good management looks out for the best interest of a company amd that is exactly what Lisa was doing. The only mistake I saw was Lisa talking to Tammy about the situation in the dining area . What Lisa should have done was told Tammy ok go ahead and make the meal for the customer and we will honor the promise you made just this once and that we coukd discuss this later . One Lisa had Tammy in the privacy of the office or even the kitchen she could have written Tammy up for giving out free food . Wich is unacceptable at any restraunt . If the owner wanted to give he shoukd have given to charity . Not expect the person he hired to ensure the establishments well being to be a mind reader .you see Lisa and Tammy can't work at an establishment that gives free food because then they coukd never get paid either . I hope you see things in a better context now . And I too have been homeless . And someone also had added the potential for the homeless man to file a lawsuit against the establishment if he ate something he was allergic to or if he got sick from their food .
Either way Lisa was mostly in the right and the owner and Tammy were most definately in the wrong .

Unfortunately, too many homeless people go in get served, claim sick, and sue the restaurant. Which is why restaurants would separately bag food going into dumpsters. Then dumpster diving became illegal. It’s a sick sad world.. feed people when they’re hungry, even feed a cat if it’s hungry. Give to all who ask you..

That makes it funny Lisa got fired for her injustice, because she let her prejudice allow her to mistreat homeless people and berate her employee for upholding humanity, just because it "doesn't pay the bills!" OK please spare me here. I really wouldn't expect too many restaurants to have a walk-in tee-shirt free food policy. The manager was following pre-excysting rules that are consistent with dealing with indigents. A CEO who baits management responses to polices that he either has written or read is shooting himself in the foot. A CEO is ultimately responsible for this manager. So the CEO is accountable for the actions of their managers. Of course, the rudeness was exaggerated for effect, but other than that she is doing her job per policy, and or training.
Top it off with you never, never, use extreme actions to govern your policy. In the culinary arts field, you have to measure all aspects of the job vs the bottom line. Again, this CEO lies and deceives using his help to measure his success. He has to beware of problems by Insite in knowing how the employees carry out his rules. If I'm a waiter how can there be trust when the boss lies and intentionally creates extreme and unique scenarios?

Ridiculous!!! Offer the girl a management training position, this crap just sets her up for failure.
The fired manager is right homeless would flock to a business and paying customers do go elsewhere. Hasnt anyone seen " restrooms are for customers only"
Best way manage a business and keep humanity is to donate excess food to shelters.
There is no simple solution to homelessness but allowing them to take over an area camping on sudewalks and defecating and doing drugs just drives business out of the area.
