This band deserve way more credit than they have been given. Every song is so unique and perfect in it's own special way. I don't say that for many artists. Respect ✌🏼.
They're arguably one of the most influential bands of the 21st century but you're right they don't get nearly get the credit they deserve. i agree... i feel they are very influential but not necessary billboard famous. But they have a huge fan base worldwide you can see by their sellings. I am saying this living in south america btw . More on Spanish language countries than brasil ofc. But i could say they are well known in brasil too.
I’ve loved everything they’ve ever done, but this one gives me such crazy nostalgia that it makes me cry. It brings me back to being a teenage girl in my bedroom. I used to listen to Show Your Bones on repeat after it came out. Crazy to think it was 13 years ago
Exactly!! They came out just as I was entering high school I was just thinking of them & now they're gonna be at lolla! Going back down memory lane, I'll absolutely lose it if they play this!!🥺😭😆🤩🤩
Yes it makes takes me to a point where my daughter mother and I were deeply in love and I made all kinds of mistakes and ruined it. And this music just makes me want those times back again. All I can do now is be thankful I felt love like that and never take it for granted again
this song gives me a really pleasant feeling. it has for years. takes me back to such a nice time in my life. it just played in the car and i started crying and don't know why
I know what you mean. Sometimes there's something you need to release, I started crying when I heard a song that made me happy once but it was because I just realised that things were so much better than they were and the happiness I'd been waiting for for so long was finally here. Hugs to you. Don't listen to anyone being mean, you cry when you want and don't be ashamed.
Fifteen years ago after the biggest heartbreak of my life, I'd listen to this album up and down I-5 as I worked on relocating to PDX, looking for work up there on my days off. I cried a whole year straight. I'm glad I can finally listen to this album again without my heart shattering into a million little pieces all over.
In 2006, this song described exactly how I felt when my relationship ended. Now I can look back at this song and know it helped me to cope and move on. Love.
Gotta love Karen O. She pretty much kicks ass in every song they have made. And its not just her, it's the whole band. Just sit down and listen to the drum beats in every song, none of those are easy. Nick not only has the coolest hair ever, he also always has a guitar melody that compliments Karens voice quite well. This is one amazing band and one amazing song. Yeah Yeah Yeah!!!
Great point. As a drummer who has been in a 3 piece band and understands the writing & building dynamics off of 3 people, YYY are one of the best ever at it.
I know, what I know, I know On the car ride down I hear it in my head real low Turn into The only thing I ever-- Turn into Hope I do Turn into you I know, what I know, I know That girl you found Keeps that kind of window closed She'll turn into The only thing you ever-- Turn into Hope I do Turn into you Can't say why I kept this from you My those quiet eyes become you Leave it where it can't remind us Turn this all around behind us Oh! Well I know!
You skipped the last part? I'll fall right in to keep you out I'd like to tell you all about it I know, what I know, I know This last time around I'll hear it in my head real low Turn into The only thing you ever know I know, what I know, I know Ah yes.
in past 15 years, the two best live shows i went to, was sonic youth, and yeah yeah yeahs. karen o is so charming and magnificent, i think she is an alien.
I've seen both too and one was sonic youth doing the whole of daydream nation, plus the rest of the gig filled with just hits. Utterly amazing when you have loved them all your life and been buying their albums since about 12. As for YYY, it was at a better venue and I was right and the front, Karen came on as a mummy and I thought, wow this is going to be amazing, and get what, it was in my top 5 gigs and ive seen about 300 bands/artists live. But Sonic youth at the Roundhouse, an historical building was something special too. Damn I've forgotten about so many good gigs I've been too.
Everything, it's everything. The raw acoustic intro, the slow fast introduction of synth, the wet texturisation until it's almost taking the piss out of synth then back to the raw acoustic sound until it's completely live.
Friendships, love, festivals, good times, bad times, beautiful places, loud laughter, hangovers, pavements and train stations. This song sums it all up
And after falling in love with this song 15 years ago...I am now learning it on guitar. Never thought i would be able to play! Heres to remembering memories from those times, but growing, moving on and improving
Instant classic... 10 years passed since the first time I've heard this anthem and every time I come back to "Show your bones" LP the same freaking feeling fills my whole mind...
I can’t wait until splendour in the grass kicks off just outback of Byron bay massive bands yeah yeah yeahs will be there and I have never seen them in concert really looking forward to getting some live videos of Karen O and band I’m super excited this will be my first splendour in the grass yay 😀 I’m in Heaven
This song is a freaking froocking masterpiece, this video is a magnificent piece of a true art. and only 1200000 views? some piece of crap has 300 million views. cmon humanity, you can be much better.
Perfect end to the album in the trilogy of back to back songs with "Sweets" and "Warrior". Some of the best stuff I've heard, as an album. The album was kind of sad and erratic like she was having fits, throwing paint at the canvas and walls. It was noisy but had interludes of sorrow. This song has its own energy, it's very playful like running through a carnival fair at night or dancing with yourself like no one's looking but when everyones looking, and it's the last song of Show Your Bones (the version I have) which makes me think after the emotional rollercoaster of the album I was put through, that there's hope at last. "Turn into, hope I do" like this song states. This is awesome, albums should tell stories. Every Indie drama comedy should have some YeahYeahYeahs in it.
This song, reinforced by both the music and the video, begins as a benign denial, that transforms into an illogical optimism, and ends as a solemn acceptance. It is fantastic in that cryptic way only Karen O can deliver.
It's heartwarming reading down the list of comments - all the love for the YYY's and this song in particular. What you're witnessing here are three incredibly talented individuals at the very height of their creative powers. Here's hoping they reach new heights with new material. Soon.
It’s weird how this takes me to my child memories but I just heard this song for the first time like 6 months ago, I’m 21. It’s like memories sound like certain songs.
Don't tell anyone how much I love you guys
2024..revisiting it too...AWESOME!!!! One of the best songs ever!!!......I knowwwww
I love the strumming by Nick on this song, It kicks in at around :55 seconds. PLus his solo is awesome.

This band deserve way more credit than they have been given. Every song is so unique and perfect in it's own special way. I don't say that for many artists. Respect ✌🏼.
Dylan Bowie this song hits all the feels
They're arguably one of the most influential bands of the 21st century but you're right they don't get nearly get the credit they deserve.
It’s almost as if they did isn’t care about the credit eh.

Its almost 10 years since last album
I’ve loved everything they’ve ever done, but this one gives me such crazy nostalgia that it makes me cry. It brings me back to being a teenage girl in my bedroom. I used to listen to Show Your Bones on repeat after it came out. Crazy to think it was 13 years ago
I just told my friends the same thing. Crazy nostalgia. The YYYs make timeless music.
i grew up listening to this music with my dad. now i'm a teenage girl in my bedroom listening to it on repeat. :)
Exactly!! They came out just as I was entering high school I was just thinking of them & now they're gonna be at lolla! Going back down memory lane, I'll absolutely lose it if they play this!!🥺😭😆🤩🤩

This maybe my all-time favorite song. It never gets old.
That guitar solo is E. V. E. R. Y. T. H. I. N. G.

Best of luck in your recovery. Better days.
Also its impossible to listen to this song only once. I play it 3 or 4 times before i move on!! 🕺💃
this song gives me a really pleasant feeling. it has for years. takes me back to such a nice time in my life. it just played in the car and i started crying and don't know why
Didnt knew this song. Makes me wander.

Show Your Bones is one hell of an album!
Stay up king
hope ur doing well
This song makes me feel both sad, yet comforted. I love songs that carry that type of duality.
A beautiful song from a simpler time.
Killer track from a massively underrated band !
In 2006, this song described exactly how I felt when my relationship ended. Now I can look back at this song and know it helped me to cope and move on. Love.
I love this whole album. I discovered these guys way after they came out with all this.
Gotta love Karen O. She pretty much kicks ass in every song they have made. And its not just her, it's the whole band. THE ANTI-KAREN OF THE WORLD \m/ xoxo
Great point. As a drummer who has been in a 3 piece band and understands the writing & building dynamics off of 3 people, YYY are one of the best ever at it.
Most beautiful guitar solo I ever heard. Period.
+Radrugan Agreed, Nick even said despite its simplicity he was immensely proud of what he had created. Fair play to him!
damn! yeah! the whole song i so exiting and then that solo just blows my mind, makes me feel so many things at the same timw
Its angelic
I just love this band. That is all.
🤗
THE QUEEN OF CULT RECORDS
LONG LIVE THE QUEEN
1:50-1:55 here she goes being iconic and a mesmerizing queen as usual.
I know, what I know, I know
On the car ride down
I hear it in my head real low
Turn into
The only thing I ever--
Turn into
Hope I do
Turn into you
I know, what I know, I know
That girl you found
Keeps that kind of window closed
She'll turn into
The only thing you ever--
Turn into
Hope I do
Turn into you
Can't say why I kept this from you
My those quiet eyes become you
Leave it where it can't remind us
Turn this all around behind us
Oh! Well I know!
thank you so much. If you ever need help with Borges or Don Quijote, count on me
You skipped the last part?
I'll fall right in to keep you out
I'd like to tell you all about it
I know, what I know, I know
This last time around
I'll hear it in my head real low
Turn into
The only thing you ever know
I know, what I know, I know
Ah yes.
@@ahousefellonme thanx
In this video she looks so youthful and beautiful and vulnerable. Sigh. I love you guys, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
this band proves that you can hit success in mainstream and still remain indie at heart. Every other band should be taking notes
in past 15 years, the two best live shows i went to, was sonic youth, and yeah yeah yeahs. karen o is so charming and magnificent, i think she is an alien.

i think its all guitar (and some piano)
love that comment :D
The solo... It's just...!!!
Friendships, love, festivals, good times, bad times, beautiful places, loud laughter, hangovers, pavements and train stations. This song sums it all up
grew up listening to this song and yeah yeah yeahs and i literally cannot put the safeness and nostalgia i feel while listening to this into words
This is my all time favourite Yeah Yeah Yeahs song. It hits me right in the soul.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs....listened to this album when I was in a highly confused state in life. In the midst of everything, I sang and danced to this
her body is a super model.
What I've always loved about this song is that the chorus goes first. The first verse starts at 1:50. It sounds so good to my ears!
This song has no verses, that's what's so great about it. It's Chorus-Chorus-Bridge-Solo-Chorus
@@CT-fb2mw Yep. You're right.
And after falling in love with this song 15 years ago...I am now learning it on guitar. Never thought i would be able to play! Heres to remembering memories from those times, but growing, moving on and improving
This songs still means a ton for me.💕
Me too 💖
After 8 years of this, still love the song :)

One of many YYY classics. TURRRRN INTO!
So, so pretty. Yeah Yeah Yeahs are masters of the beautiful, simple and sending shivers up my arms and spine. This, Maps, Hysteric, love them

Always magic !!!❤
The distortions, both visually, audio and even acoustically all add to the splendor of a great song.
i totally agree with you...you sum up my feelings towards that little piano :') and the song in general
I love her voice and style.
This is my favorite band to trip with.
This one came out when I was heartbroken. Bitter-sweet....
Instant classic... 10 years passed since the first time I've heard this anthem and every time I come back to "Show your bones" LP the same freaking feeling fills my whole mind...

La primera vez que la escuché me encantó su voz la fuerza al cantar y la energía que trasmite para mí es la REYNA DEL GRITO...
Wow it's Mother Nature and she's so beautiful!!
God, 2009-2011 were great years for indie music
I mean, this is from 2005 but ok
Also the strokes came in 2001..so the greatest years were before 2009.. although it was 2005 lol

Pedazo de banda. Ella es espectacular, y como banda son sólidos.
I missed them first time around. Found in 2019. 30 year old me could have used their magic.
Same here.
Better late than never!
This music video is definitely one of my favourites, I just love how Karen jumps into this happy crazy kind of dancing state :D
Absolutely mesmerizing. Love this so much.
This song, reinforced by both the music and the video, begins as a benign denial, that transforms into an illogical optimism, and ends as a solemn acceptance. It is fantastic in that cryptic way only Karen O can deliver.
leaping with joy through sorrow's clenching hours. at the end of all of this mad dashing, try to smile through the tear fall...
Dance like you that's what I want.... You're amazing Karen O!! :)
