    Hi Lily 👋 fun shopping trip and cooking video. We like Spam fried rice too. Have you tried the Korean BBQ flavored Spam? I bought a can a couple of days ago and will be using it for fried rice. That pandan cake looked so moist. I wish we could get fresh pandan leaves here in Indiana, but our international markets seldom have any and I don’t want to use the dried pandan. You're lucky to have markets like T&T where you are.
    Well, take care, stay safe and healthy, and have a nice week 😊

      I've never tried it. I tried Korean brand Spam. I've never seen Korean BBQ flavored actually. Interesting. I will check it out if any store has it.

    Spam! I’m originally from Minnesota, the home of Spam, so it’s been a staple all my life. Fun fact - there is a Spam museum! If you ever visit MN, I recommend it. 😀

      I don't know where Lily got hers but I got mine from Amazon

    • @lilynguyen88
      @lilynguyen88  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I got it from Amazon. Takoyaki flour is from Korean supermarket market. Dried bonito flakes, Takoyaki sauce, Japanese mayonnaise are from T&T or Korean supermarket 😁

    Hi Lily, do you soak the salmon in a salt solution to get rid of the fishy smell?

    • @lilynguyen88
      @lilynguyen88  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I made salted salmon 🙂 I love basic Japanese breakfast with salmon, miso soup and rice, so I soaked the salmon to salt water to get the salted taste. I think the fishy smell is reduced just a little bit.

    Hi! I find it shy when I try to take videos in Canada like in the grocery . Any tips? Do you use as smartphone or a mini camera that you can attach to your clothes?

    • @lilynguyen88
      @lilynguyen88  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there, I use my phone at grocery stores and camera at home. I'm a shy person too. I think as long as it's not illegal things, you're good. People are too busy anyway 🥰

    We have T&T stores in Canada. I find them not convenient. All Canadian stores have everything for everyone, T&T is just for one race, not everyone....hmmmmm

      That’s a silly and close-minded attitude. Who hurt your feelings ? T&T is aimed at an Asian demographic but welcomes anyone. I’ve found all sorts of interesting foodstuffs there, and their fresh produce is usually far better value than the major supermarkets like Loblaws.
      I wonder why you even watch this fascinating channel.

      Hi Rachel, T&T is chain of Asian grocery stores. It helps Asian families connect with their past and culture. I think it's also a destination for everyone. Personally, I like to go T&T because I find things that I can relate to.
