I literally woke up last night from a dream that was “HOW DOES THE DJI MIC COMPARE TO THE HOLLYLAND?!” (Yes, I’m aware how nerdy that is.) Thank you for making exactly what I needed 😁
The DJI Mic has a low-cut filter that effectively reduces low-frequency noise like wind, enhancing the clarity of your recordings. A great feature for improving audio quality!
I’ve got the DJI and I love it! I’ve just it last week with the receiver in my laptop and could do voice over wireless to première pro and I loved the sound. Also used it for interviews and stuff and it never failed me
First switch from Hollyland to DJI, the DJI sounded better to me, later I couldn't really hear a difference. (Listened on some random cheap in-ear headphones, not some high-level audiophile headphones). So I guess, sound quality wise, they are basically equal. The noise cancellation made the voice sound a bit weird even though it nicely reduced the street noise. I don't know how close you could put the mic to the mouth, so maybe moving it closer so that the voice is relatively louder than the street noise might be a better option.
Mark, I aaaalways come back to your always growing channel. And, I always find the information, I was searching for aaaand therefore I clicked one of these strange links, down in your description and suprise! It leads me direct to where I can buy the thingy, I was up to. Like it. (Y)

Hey Mark, this is just an appreciation comment. Based on your recommendation I've bought a ZVE10 and now have a Viltrox 13mm F1.4 and recently bought hollyland mic. Keep up the amazing work. I absolutely love your channel ❤️
I got the Godox Movelink M2 last year I just started using it and did not like it because of the background noise it recorded additionally to my voice I was looking to replace them since the hollyland lark max has noise cancelling which to me was the only reason I was convinced. I connected my Godox Movelink M2 to my Rodecaster pro 2 via Rode VXLR+ 3.5mm to XLR Adapter with Power Convertor. Used the RCPTO2 noise gate settings and problem solved indoors still need the noise cancelling for outdoors prob get that solo holly land

Hey Mark; Nice review! We’re in a copy cat review. I saw somewhere some comments said “DJI copied HL design”, then HL copied DJI new feature.” Now it’s DJI turn to copy ENC and frequency hopping so when far away and turning around, audio doesn’t drop. The attachment of DJI is nice without wires is nice for mobile and action cams, but not good when using a gimbal so it depends on your use case. In a perfect world, I would prefer ability to do both. Not much is mentioned with the non-shielding on the DJI so when using any lav, there won’t be distortion. Not sure if HL solved for this. Hasn’t seen reviews on this. This is important when you mic up a client, you would hide the TX and mic him/her up with a lav. I’ll be curious to compare DJI Mic 2.0 to HL Lark Max. But last but not least, both aren’t as handsome as Mark himself. And you don’t need a loud logo in the front as we all know about your handsomeness since you never mention it in any videos! 😂
If Hollyland to be in the lead they should soon release a Mk2 version that includes 32bit float recording, wireless file transfer, timecode jamming, maintain current price. The hollyland lav is not discreet.

it has no specific noise cancelling function. Sometimes specs will say noise cancelling, but they just mean in general as it “isolates” your voice. The Hollyland has an actual noise cancelling setting you can turn on or off
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisisthanks a lot for the reply! does it have ability to be bundle to iPhone? I didn't understand from the video unfortunately. DJI one can just clip to the iPhone connector. I know that Hollyland Lark C1 can do it but not sure about Lark Max. Aslo, what's the differenece between C1 and Max if you don't mind to share?
Ok, I may have to get one of these 😂.
Quite good - but apparently rode is coming out with something new very soon
Pun intended 🤣
I have some people ask me for cheaper alternatives (ideally under $100, for social media, not professional stuff). Do you have any recommendations?
Also holy moly Mark you more than doubled your subs since I subscribed to you. CRUUUUUUUSHING IT!!
You can usually get the Comica c3 or the Hollyland lark m1 for close to $100 and they are my go-to mics for that price range.
Wow i see🙌
Mark: that lady is in love with you because you are “digitally”. 🤣
She’s a smart woman
audio is so clear that i can even hear Mark's gasps of breath before every word! dammmnnnn
it's just because I am horribly out of shape
No tie? No collar stays? Bonus points for a leather tie.
🤣👔👔
Love my DJI's! And spaghetti with meatballs.
Cheers much but new rode is out 😊❤
I will be testing it - it's not out yet - just a waiting list. But hopefully it's as good as it seems and that it will be released soon.
Hey Mark;
Nice review!
They will need to catch up to Rode now for sure
