    BEST tutorial I've come accross so far!! Thank you for making this!!! 🤩 I have 1 question; when I want to record a vlog, and I connect the transmitter to my phone (android) and I use only 1 of the mics to record the audio (as a clip on); then what is the best setting to assure the sound of my voice will be heard on the right and left speaker later when listening to it? Should I put the setting of this 1 speaker to 'stereo' for this?
    I keep getting confused by the actual audible difference between stereo and mono 😆 Love to hear if I understand this correctly.
    And in addition; when speaking with another - in an interview for example; is 'mono' the more natural setting for both mics? Does this lead to later hearing one speaker from the right and the other from the left? Or would here too - in fact 'stereo' be the more common choice?
    Thanks again for all your time and attention!! Much appreciated!! 🙌🙏❤😊

    • @SoIDoNotForget
      @SoIDoNotForget  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hello, Thanks for your comment, I really appreciated it. When recording in stereo and using one mic/Tx it will record only on one side depending on which mic you are using. When recording mono it will record on both sides even when using the two mics. So in mono, you will hear both mics on the left and also on the right basically they are both mixed in one track. I would suggest recording in Stereo when using two mics that way you have more control in the post to manipulate the audio (unless there is something quick and you don't want to deal with post-production) and in mono when using just one mic. I hope this helps. 🙌

      Hello, to be honest, I'm not exactly sure but something like that I noticed when I recently purchased them. What I did was to let it charge for days, meaning mainly overnight connected to a wall, and it's been charging and holding the battery every since then but if you still have that problem probably will be better to contact Hollyland or the place you purchase it from. Another thing that might need, (if available) is maybe a firmware update.

    Been messing around with mine and it seems to be pretty good. I noticed though recording level is pretty low, upped gain to about 6 and it still seems pretty low. Im guessing the volume will have to be upped in post and hope background noise isnt to bad. Did you have to up the volume during editing?

      Hello, yes yesterday I recorded a quick voice over(at 6) and even though the level is kind of low, I raised on Davinci and it sounds good. No floor noise. You can also go higher on the setting of the receiver maybe 8 or even 10 just to double check and see what’s the ideal final level. Thanks

    Thank you for answering questions that other didn't! I have one more: Do I understand correctly that you can record BOTH the audio to the camera AND on the transmitter seperately? (For example if I film an interview and I'm not recording from my camera, can it be so that the transmitter still records? And that if I start to record from my camera, it will be recorded as the audio for my camera as well?)

    • @SoIDoNotForget

      The first thing that comes to my mind is to double check the cable that goes from the receiver to the camera. If you have an additional one, try it out. Worst case of scenario if you already on the set remember that you can record the audio directly in the transmitter(microphone) Also double check that the cable is not plugin in the audio input.

    • @SoIDoNotForget
      @SoIDoNotForget  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! Not really, if Audio drifting occur is because frame rates are different between audio from video. Depending on what’s the frame rate on your video convert your audio frame rate to the video’s. Hopefully that helps!

      @@Mr.C0ffee sure, basically what it means is that if you are recording video @ 23.976 FPS and the audio is 24 FPS eventually is going to start drifting when doing long takes, because they are not the same Frame Rate. Both of them need to be set at the same Frame Per Second.(FPS)

    Does the audio automatically sync with iphone video or do you have to line it up in post?

    • @SoIDoNotForget
      @SoIDoNotForget  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you only use the transmitter(mic) to record internally in it, yes You need to sync it in post. That's why is a good idea to do a slate before you start recording or a clap in front of the camera so that way it's easy to sync it in post. However, if you use the Receiver meaning is attached to your phone while recording you don't need to do this as the audio is automatically synced to the video.

    • @xaratemplate
      @xaratemplate ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SoIDoNotForget can you make a video on how to have it automatically synced? If Im correct their is only 1 receiver it is the biggest item that comes in box? Sorry I am new to these audio devices and not as tech savy for wireless mics. How about when you stop your recording on iphone will the hollyland mics auto stop when you stop recording on iphone? Or does it not auto sync with iphone video app? Actually nit even sure how to set this up to work with video app on iphone in fact would be grateful for a video covering that too.

    • @SoIDoNotForget
      @SoIDoNotForget  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@xaratemplate yeah, that is correct on the receiver. The mics are the transmitters. When you connect the receiver to your phone it will sync automatically. Which means as soon as you star recording will sync the audio to the video. However it will not save it on your transmitter unless you press the record button on them. When recording the audio directly to the transmitter you are in control to record and stop when needed. I’ll try to make that video. Thanks for the suggestion.

      Yes, one suggestion that comes to mind is probably to use Velcro tape. A slim strip of Velcro on the from of the transmitter or back even though the back part is a little narrow could work.
      Since you have the lavs I would suggest using it that way the transmitter is not showing on camera, clip the transmitter in the back of their pants. There are several types of tapes online that you can use to hide the lav or just clip it on. amzn.to/3TWhoIP
