The Anglican tradition has produced so many wonderful psalters and prayers books and I agree, you don't have to be Anglican to use them! I have this one and love it.
Oh! Today is Oct. 4th. On this day in 1535 Coverdale and Tyndale published the first complete Bible in Modern English. I was reading about that this moring and just came across this about the Psalter. I see it's on sale. Think I'll order one. Thanks!
How wonderful! Thanks! A lifelong Episcopalian, I found you when I was my looking for an image for my morning meditation verse, which ususally ends up being a psalm verse soI look forwarad to looking at and using this - especially since TS and CS!
Hi Tim, I watched your review and did a little more research on this psalter. I decided to hit the purchase button as I intend to use this for daily morning and evening devotions. Years ago, I had a small psalter and found that the more interactions I had with the Psalms, the deeper my understanding became of what it means to be in a deep relationship with God. Stay wonderful, Mike
Such a beautiful Psalter and an excellent review of it! Indeed, the Anglican tradition has a wonderful liturgical tradition. Love your characterization of it as one of "rhythm" in worship. I track with that as I worship in this tradition and pray both Daily Offices -- the Morning and Evening -- each day and it is, indeed, rhythmic. The book is a combination of prayer, worship, and scripture. I use a beautifully bound Bible (the readings for each day, per BCP. A two yr cycle - entire OT in 2 yr; NT in a yr; all psalms every 7 weeks), Psalter, and prayer book named "The Contemporary Office Book," published by Church Hymnal Corp., NY. A beautiful book in genuine leather and my daily companion! It is no longer in publication or I would send you a copy to take a look at and review. . . Your trip and time in England sounds so special. Would love to hear more about your experiences there. . Perhaps in a future video. Blessings to you.
Hey Tim! I’ve really really enjoyed your videos and reviews! Love your enthusiasm for beautiful bibles. Though I am not Anglican either, I’ve recently embraced the BCP and the amazing practice of liturgical prayer, worship, and reading of the Word in my own daily quiet time. I’ve purchased a couple of BCPs from Anglican House Publishers and have been eyeing this Psalter. So thank you for reviewing this beautiful book, and will definitely be purchasing one soon. Would love for you to review the new ESV with Apocrypha Deluxe Edition from them as well sometime. Looks like a beautiful hardback bible printed from L.E.G.O Italy. Just a thought and recommendation. Appreciate you and again really enjoy your content. Blessings!
It is a lovely edition and a great translation. I’ve got the text of this within the BCP2019. It is probably the most valuable resource in the whole book. I’ll eventually pick up this edition once they switch from paper liners to something sturdier. The BCP from them also has a paper liner and I know I’ll wear through it in the next few years from daily use.
Note that the verse numbering for at least one of the chapters differs from the standard numbering. It's rare, but it happens. It's done when a verse may "drag on" for too long and needs to be broken up. This is done for liturgical reasons.
In other early reviews, it was mentioned that a cheaper paper was used for the liner. Is yours a second printing with a higher quality vinyl, or is yours the one with a paper liner? Thanks for the great review!

Appreciate your review!
You’re very welcome! Thanks for watching!
Gratitude for review, thank you.
Wow, this increases the hope of finding the other previous psalter as well.
My pleasure!
This looks like a great book! Thanks for the nice review.
❤️ I love it so much.
Great Review.
Thank you, Sharyn!
In other early reviews, it was mentioned that a cheaper paper was used for the liner. Is yours a second printing with a higher quality vinyl, or is yours the one with a paper liner? Thanks for the great review!
I got this right when it came out, so I believe this is from the very first batch.
Nice review. Do you have the ESV Psalms by Crossway? I wonder how the two compare...
Thanks! I don't have that one.... yet!
In most pictures the goatskin cover looks black, but in the one it looks like a dark green when light hits it. What color would you say it is?
It’s black.
What is the font size?
Is this Psalter design for singing?
PS - I always though it was CLOVERdale
