I’m from Romania and I’m glad seeing that you liked it here! 🤩 If you ever plan to come here again and if you want to have a better image of how it is to live here, I recommend you to try coming during winter holidays and spend a Romanian traditional Christmas with our traditional foods and customs or in the Easter holiday. However, you should spend it in a Romanian family, not as a guest in a hotel, because in this way your experience would be a hundred times better!😉 If it sounds interesting, I would love to help! ☺️
Beautiful, thx guys for showing the good side of Romania...even tough it's mostly like this, you can still have the bad luck being in the wrong place at the wrong time...or vice-versa:)))
Yeah, we heard Romanian roads were bad, but they were absolutely fine!! We had no issues at all, and we were able to see so much more by renting a car. Thanks so much for watching our video!
@@Peregrination The part with Romanian roads being bad has become nothing more than a myth, although my fellow Romanians still complain about them as if they still are, and the idea about them on an international level has not changed because of that. They were bad over 10 years ago but a lot has changed. I've even been through isolated villages when I was heading to Cluj Napoca and they were taken care of, nicely paved with no potholes, in the middle of nowhere. Not saying that there might not still be bad roads here and there, but they are rare compared to a decade ago.
Thats crazy. I rented from EXACTLY the same place in Bucharest. I payed €500 for 12 days in a new Golf. The car was €200 and the insurance was €300 lmao!!!
It might be a scam, but I couldn't help but notice "NEW GOLF". Theirs was an older Suzuki Swift. If the car was brand new that might make a big difference. Although, it's Romania, scamming is not really out of the ordinary, sorry to say.
This isn't really saying much, what happened when you returned the vehicle? In all circumstances I've observed no one has had issues picking up the car. It's during the return that somehow 1500 worth of damage to the window occurs. Or they say they're refunding your deposit but in fact charged your card twice for the deposit. Is there another video that shows your return and how that went? I am currently I'm Bucharest and by review online I am far from wanting to rent here. Yeah, the price is cheap but the overall feeling of scam screams out in all I've read. I haven't read a review for not rental agency at otp that doesn't have a overwhelming amount of negative scam reviews. Was the rental agency you used name mentioned?
Hey, I have the same question. I would like to see more details or cases with issues while rent a car in Bucharest and Brasov. If you have any suggestion, I would like to hear :)
I rented cars in Bulgaria three times. I always though, this is suspiciously cheap.... something is going to happen... but then nothing happened haha it was a good decision
Peregrination Is very strange that the same company will charge me $500 for 3 weeks plus over $800 deposit and Over $1000 insurance. You guys got really lucky and maybe because you were filming you got a great deal.

Any issues with driving in Romania or any non-English speaking countries? How do you understand Romanian laws and Romanian signs on streets? Do you have to take a driving test to drive anywhere in Europe? Are all cars standard (stick shift)? Any automatic rental cars in Romania or rest of Europe? What if the sign reads something we as English speakers don't understand? Traffic signs and laws are my biggest issues... I plan on traveling to Romania and Hungary next April 2023. I was planning on travel on buses and trains. Rental car would give us more freedom. Anybody know what are current gas prices in Europe? Again, how are you two English speakers able to drive in a non-English speaking country with non-English signs? I just want assurance that driving in Romania and Hungary is easy than I imagine. Thank you.
You are both nice people and the videos are entertaining, but shouldn't you prepare a bit better and have some more information Beforehand about the places you are going to visit? Content would be less superficial
Hello from Romania! I live in Bucharest. It`s very nice to see you traveling in Romania. Hope you had an awesome stay. Cheers!
Thank you for watching our video!

Brasov looks cool. Some day I'll visit Romania. Cheers neighbours.

An excellent decision about renting a car! You cannot visit all you want without this. The roads are not so bad.

@@DarkSignal59 dude, if you think you already saw any bad road in your life, it's because you never visited Brazil before hahaha
It's Bra-Shovf (sounds like shove but the ending has a Ffff sound).
Oops!! We mispronounce it a lot! Thanks for this info though!

But can you recommend any place to rent "without scams"?
@@Chinaycustom You can rent from there, just without insurance. Car was good. Had driven around 9.000km.
I don't know any other places. Maybe google

Green Motion!

I'm currently applying for Romanian passport. I'll be in Bucharest soon. Without endorsing it, what was the rental agency you used?
FINALLY HOW MUCH DID YOU HAVE TO PAY WHEN YOU DROP OFF THE CAR??
Make and model of the car? Just curious.
yeahh!!! We couldn't remember lol!

What car rental company
Yo whats the name of that song that starts playing at 5:30??? Super dope track
You could pay some extra (more than 50$ I'd guess) to avoid the checks and have sort of zero responsibility.
