Mine arrived yesterday xD No where in stock on English sites so got one from France as it's all the same content in the box anyway! These minis are just too great to not own.
Glad to see I'm not the only one who started dunking the zombies - the clean up is the important part anyway. They look great! I'm digging the alternate color schemes.
Thanks a lot :) After about 6 or 7 minis you're just like "screw it" and start dunking haha :) It actually makes more sense really, since you're on a time limit with the quickshade. It gets really sticky after only a few minutes.
Well actually this was my second attempt. I tried zenithal priming at first, but I really didn't like the look of the skeletons after the first layer of paint, so I tried a pre-shade + drybrushing and that looked a lot better. Otherwise I'm pretty happy with how they turned out.
Son of a b.... ;) these have been sitting in the basement waiting for a tutorial for over a year... Finally broke down on the weekend and painted them up in prep for massive Darkness. And then you release your tutorial with a much better colour set...
Dave Landry Ahhh! Sorry Dave! I've just been so busy. I'm also waiting for Massive Darkness. God knows when it'll arrive - seems like Canada & America are the last places to get it.
Heroes & Bosses no worries... Just busting balls. I might try the corrosion you showed us at the end of the video. I went back and re-watched the wolfz video... The quality of your painting has improved significantly since that first video. Keep up the great work. You planning on MD videos? I'd be interested!
Yeah - when I first started painting I was using a gaming headset as a mic, and a web cam for video - the quality was pretty terrible :) I followed the tips you suggested (like listing the paints I used) - if you have any more tips, let me know. I definitely plan on painting MD, and I'll post videos as often as I can.
It's one of the first time's we've ever played the game the first day it arrived - normally 6 months+ after! We were expecting it to be garbage, so really enjoyed it when it wasn't :-D
Great tutorial! Inspired to do mine now. Love the fact that you mention the equivalent Citadel paints when you use The Army Painter paintsAre you going to be painting the Massive Darkness mobs (e.g. The large monsters?) Hope so :)
Love the work just started getting into the hobby. Do you use a magnifying glass to paint and if you do what kind is it? I'm also waiting for my massive darkness to arrive and I Gona start working on the sword & sorcery minis hopefully soon keep up the great work
I DO use a magnifying glass. It makes everything SO much easier. The only pain is trying to maneuver the camera around it :) I bought mine at Michaels, it was only $10-15 I think. Here's a link to it: canada.michaels.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-MichaelsCanada-Site/en_CA/Product-Show?pid=10421234
Dude what brushes do you use? I have been using some Army painter ones and holy jesus they dont last. Yes, I have been taking care of them (brush soap etc)
mb I've had the same problem with Army Painter brushes, some became frayed after 1 use. I use Windsor & Newton, Artist's Loft or really cheap (80 cent) plastic brushes called Plaid Mod Podge if I need to drybrush or if I don't need to worry about small details.
He does some good work! I tried to get mine out before him, but he's a fast painter ;) I tried to make it at least a bit different by adding 2 alternate color schemes, but in the end, you're right - they are still very similar.
I'll do my best! I don't have the rat unfortunately, but I do have the blob. He's been sitting "mostly" painted on my desk for months. I'll have to get on that.
Finally managed to get a set of these after a long search. Can't wait to see how yours turns out.

Excellent Job man. I like the variety of colors you used on the walkers.
The Game Warrior Thank you! I'm glad these guys can be used in Massive Darkness too :)
Me too now I just need to paint mine lol
Excellant video, thank you cant wait to paint mine when they arrive.
Thank you! These guys are a lot of fun to paint.
Nice job, buddy and a good tutorial...Jim
Thanks Jim! Much appreciated!
They look great!! If you had to do it all over, would you try anything different?

Mortis2405 Thank you! I'll definitely be doing Massive Darkness. I just got my tracking number 5 minutes ago, so I hope to have it in a week or two.
Heroes & Bosses Fantastic! Mine arrived yesterday and I hope it brings a huge smile to your face as it did mine.
I'm sure it will! I'm pretty excited to get it. I can't even remember what the miniatures were, the Kickstarter was so long ago.

Also, I'm sure you'll love the hobby :) I was addicted after my first miniature!

Sorastro´s influence is strong with this one...

How you mixed colors to drybrush them
Tadej Vengust Just stir the colors together on your palette, but make sure you do not add any water. You want the paint as thick as possible.
Can you pls paint the ablomination ore the rat from knight pack

Heroes & Bosses thank you
...and at some point you're going to get sick of doing the quick shade.... Hahahahahaha, you know it :)
Yeah, it's pretty smelly. Gets the job done though!
