The description of the Undead learning makes me think of Return of the Living Dead. When the one undead went into the Ambulance and used the CB to say "Send more paramedics" then a different undead later did the same using a police car saying "send more cops". I still have my Hardcover edition of Death Troopers and It was a fun read.
As far as the Strom Troopers go, it seems like they were alive before the night sisters started their spell. The Strom Troopers that chased them out of the ship weren't zombies.
the fact that these zombie trooper can tank blaster round to the head suggest that storm trooper armor really is good and just disipate the heat over a wider area leaving the victim in shock and badly burnt but within the capability of bacta to save them... which make sense for troop armor... a zombie trooper presumably cant feel the pain or go into shock... so even though their flesh may be burning under the armor they keep moving...
I don't know if Thrawn would plan to continue to use the Night Sister magick in that way because he said they were volunteers who knew what they were signing up for.
Megatron thought about using zombie’s that are being fueled by dark energon as an army in Transformers Prime. He succeeded but didn’t last for too long as the entire army was killed in the spacebride explosion. And then when Unicron took over Megatron’s reformed body he created an army of Terrorcons created from Predacons
0:44 Was it? since we're looking at a show that follows characters from starwars rebels its more likely a reference to the episode where nightsister bodies reanimate since this is also night sister related that would make more sence to me.
I when we first witnessed the night troopers, I wasn't sure what they were. It isn't likely many if any were clone troopers, due to their rapid aging process it is likely they are of an age now where they wouldn't be much use as a fighting force. This led me to only one real conclusion, that is they are the men used by the Night Sisters for additional protection, procreation, etc. Likely Zabraks. We all know many of them are already force sensitive and are subject to a variety of Night Sister magic for strength or force wielders in their own right. I can't find anything really hinting towards this, but it is the most likely thing I can come up with. It could even be males from the humanoid civilization already found on world; which could also be Zabraks. As, many did live separately from the Night Sisters and were only gathered as needed on Dathomir. It wouldn't be hard to assume they would use the same methods as shown on Dathomir.
I always wanted them to include the Death Troopers if they ever decided to make zombies canon as a throwback to the book. Seeing basically Death Death Troopers scratched that itch for me.
This is really terrifying. True Halloween story😁Glad that crew of the ship managed to escape. Great to hear about Han and Chewie :D I don't think Thrawn would take such risk to the galaxy. It's too much. Dead Troopers are really scary. They would be extremely dangerous to the galaxy. May the Force be with you too😊
I think either Disney writers are getting way more into SW lore. And or Disney is really starting to listen to hardcore SW fans on or off social media. Either way, including a well known legends book lore into the Ashoka series can only be a good thing. The expansion of death troopers and their lore into canon is definitely the way to go. Let's be honest, the gross ineptitude of most storm troopers in the original movies bordered on the comical at times. One shotted canon fodder storm troopers almost 24/7 did not make the empire look like such a threat or too intimidating. If I'm to be honest, Disney are getting a lot more hate than is warranted by some fans now. Mandolorian is just the kind of more adult level SW that I needed to get back into SW. I don't care who says what. I loved Mandolorian series and Book of Fett too. " This is the way".
I'm still hoping for an adult character, in Skeleton Crew, to tell a ghost story about the legend of the Death Troopers to Our 4 kids. Only for the kids, when lost in The Outer Rim and The Unknown Regions, to be wary of finding a derelict Star Destroyer, and having nightmares of these zombies...only to not realize that their nightmares were Force dreams/visions of The Night Troopers and the Death Troopers that were created on Peridea. Am I the only one who'd want to see that, esp. for the Halloween Season? I really hope We get to see some of the creation of the Death Troopers in the Final Season of The Bad Batch (esp. if some of the experiments take place on Mount Tantiss).
I always imagined the zombie deathtroopers making their own society aboard the Vector and Purge. I would LOVE to see that where the Blackwing troopers face off against the Nightsister zombies. The Vector vs. the Chimera. Now that would be cool!
while i think it was a nice reference and callback i dont think it will be used en mass. at least not in the way you're suggesting. im willing to bet it will culminate in something with the caskets Thrawn took with him but nothing ling lasting or drastically timeline altering. as much as its hated until we get official retconning of the sequal trillogy things do still have to ultimately (and unfortunately) culminate in that future. personally im hoping it does get some sort of retcon, but im doubtful.
Kek. Guess what? It already kinda has vampires in the form of the Anzat, and you could also argue that some alien species resemble werewolves. Undead/zombies already were a thing in Legends too
It was very interesting. The death troopers still talked when they were killed. Like „alright here it goes“ and the storm troopers still obeyed orders and were intelligent. I wonder how much they still were themselves, because with time they grew more intelligent, even dead.
Relevant Biology: An animal's muscle output is restricted because utilizing too much force could break or dislocate bones. It's my headcannon for now that part of their undead transformation is an unleashing of the previously inhibited power of their muscles.
god I remember these zombie troopers first being put in to a star wars game called Star wars commander, I played the shit out of thiat game with those zombie troopers
It’s cool how every recorded empire in the Star Wars history, legends included was always ruled by a force sensitive specifically dark siders, every government except the republic who was governed by non force sensitives but protected by the Jedi….
No. Plus they're not 'Zombies', they're under some unknown Nightsister magic. The whole point of this video was that there's something else other than standard-zombie going on. Did you not pay attention?
Honestly I think death troopers ( the regular ones not the zombies ) are one of best things to come out of the empire and SW verse. A lot more grown up version of SW imperial troopers, who arn't always easy kills , one shotted by rebels or Jedi.. For too long most storm troopers, ( even from the original movies) looked way to inept ,weak. One shotted canon fodder to point of comical. Gideons death troopers and Krenic's death trooper guard were something that actually put up a fight , and even Mando was cautious of , rightly so.
Idk how I've never thought about it, but a litghtsaber would be the ultimate zombie killing weapon, it maybe the one melee weapon more useful than a fire arm, as eing swarmed or the zombies bunching up on you wouldn't be a problem bc it'd just go through a group of th3m lie butter, even if you were surrounded on all sides with a massive group closing in you could probably just spin in a circle really fast, qnd a saberstaff?? Fuhgedaboutettt
I have read both novels, really enjoyed them too, I would love to see them both brought into live action, as some darker Star Wars stories are needed in my opinion. I was happy to the Death Troopers finally brought into Cannon tho. I would dodge the audio book of Red Harvest and as I found the narration rather bland and lifeless.
IMNSHO, a mediocre book with a totally pointless appearance by Han and Chewie. Force forbid they have a Star Wars book without one of the original trilogy characters.
The jaw hanging out of the zombie death trooper was more disturbing star wars than we're used to and i'm all for it
this explain why troopers keep missing because force that ezra and sabine again
Thrawn literally has “The Army of The Dead”

The Death Troopers become the REAL DEATH TROOPERS.
It's a shame that Disney won't give us the Prison Barge story mentioned in this video. Because it would make for a fun Halloween special.
I don't know if Thrawn would plan to continue to use the Night Sister magick in that way because he said they were volunteers who knew what they were signing up for.
They're dead Death Troopers. The OG Death Troopers as a matter of fact. Some of the most disturbing characters I've seen in this wild saga.

You mis counted how many were not infected on the ship. There was a young wookie who was eaten alive by his parents.
That is one of the most terrifying stories I have ever read
I wonder what Werewolves would look like in Star Wars.
Wookies
@donaldmartin8031 you mean a WereWookie?
Ever heard of the rakghoul plague?
@@Dragon66898 No, but do tell.
Don’t no just no Force no

I personally call the undead death troopers 2 things
1 death death trooper
2 death trooper squared
I always wanted them to include the Death Troopers if they ever decided to make zombies canon as a throwback to the book. Seeing basically Death Death Troopers scratched that itch for me.

I just want to have a clear answer; are nightsisters wielders of the force or is this magic added to SW?!
They use the force differently.
@@darthoblivion2615 I sure hope so.
They need to use a lot more stories from the Legends catalog! ✌🏻

Star Wars needs to stay out of the horror genre with the zombies, where would it stop vampires, werewolves?

Was that Star Destroyers name “SD Wuhan”?
If Disney wanted to actually make a good series not compared to the original or prequel just bring back the Rakghoul plague.
Star Wars seems to be hoping that taking some 40K mojo might help them remain relevant.
There been zombies in Star Wars, where you been at?
So the Death Troopers in Mando were robots but does that mean that the ones in Rogue One were zombies?
Read Harvest was a great book.

I’ve read both novels and I’m stilll freaked! Red harvest was more scarier!

Was Thrawns personal security detail made up of death troopers ?
Anyone?
Comment pls
Yes, imperial officers usually had Death Troopers as their personal security detail.
Death troopers aren't death though. Rogue one for example.
