Hey actually you can create a way to heal. If you jump on the walls into the corner, the lord will actually follow you on the opposite side and do the boomerang attack. You can pull of a heal or two if you jump down fast enough
Is anyone ever gonna talk about the FIVE MINUTES it takes just to get to these guys
ikr if they added benches before the fight it would be so good. Edit:found out a while ago that there is a hidden bench before the fight

2 quick tips/secrets about the boss
You can actually pogo off of the spinning blades and they will disappear. Also, if you get stuck in a situation where you are cornered over the spikes and the mantis Lords are doing the overhead strike, just jump to the side and climb on the walls to avoid it. I don't really see anyone using these technics at all so I thought you should know 🙂
Another tip for being cornered now this requires a late ish game item but using shade cloak allows you to dash through if you have sharp shadow you can get some damage off

I used quick focus to heal fast in between attacks. If you want geo fast, there is a method where you find a near bench and a mini boss. The one I used was the one before you fight the false knight in crossroads. He gives about 45 geo per kill. The bench is super close, so you can beat him, run to the bench and so on for so much geo. Optionally, I used fragile greed charm to get like 9 geo extra per kill. Which really adds up

Secret pro tip- in the upper left corner there is a breakable wall that leads to a secret room which contains those blue cocoons, that's how you can get extra 2 masks (lives)

a tip for healing when there's only one: you can climb up the wall, wait for her to come up, and drop down. you can get in one heal and still have awhile

At first it wasnt working, until i watched to the part of the spinning nails of the two mantis lords, and found out that you can heal at that moment

step 1 skip them. Step 2 grind till pure nail. Step 3 kick there ass.
you can dodge to the spikes if you have shade cloak cause even if you get cornered you wont get hit if you dash
Tips: if you actually just move slightly before the drop you can get 2 hits and in the dash don't use normal hit use vengual spirit it well hit like 2 spirit but you only use one
I just found this video after I killed them if you use dream shield and there is only one left and it is one hit if you die but he runs into dream shield even though you're dead it will count it as a defeat because of dream shield. I didn't even get to see the end animation because of that

Tip: When the 2 lords do the dash at you at the same time dodge it from the middle of the arena then do a desolate dive to strike them both

Yeah but some people like me are absolute noobs and took 10 deaths fighting False Knight because they have never played a metroidvania and have limited video game experience

So far I've died 5 times fighting the Mantis Lords. That's with Long Nail, Quick Focus, and Grub Song. On top of the first nail upgrade and first health upgrade. I've been struggling to read their projectile attacks that's how I died so much
2 things I would suggest: 6th mask prior to fight (highly) and sharpened nail (not as necessary, but helpful)
I have 7 and I still can't beat them.
what is your equipment of amulets?
You can heal right before stage 2. I also see you mess up just like me when both mantises decide to drop on you. Also, loving the lo-fi.
Pretty sure the lo-fi music is the soundtrack for them

1:56 I just standed on a single spot and just jump when it's about to hit me and it just passed without touching me
And on the 2nd one I would just stand on the centre and it split and go away without touching me
for bosses i just try to no hit them since i cant find a spot to heal

The mantis lords take observation to beat, if you dont observer, it is about luck or death.
Simply put the mantis lords are a fight that i find much simpler and more enjoyable to beat by yourself while looking at the differences every attack has and that it shall not need a tutorial.
OK, after watching this video i decided to give up on the game. I beat Nioh 1, Nioh 2 and lately Elden Ring, but this is impossible for me. And running to that location every time you die. It's such a beautiful game, but there are far too few resting points.
I just used this to learn what attacks they do, hard to pay attention to them when your stressing trying to stay alive
The no chance to heal situation was an asshole move by the devs
Able to heal when they throw the blades on top of each other. Not hard
@awesineoersib2682: There not being a bench until after this fight is an asshole move by Team Cherry, they should of coded one in the village, maybe two even.

Bruh so I got stuck here after farming the two Moss knights for geo and ended up with 6100 geo and now I keep dying and having to get my shade back

Do you actually get anything from beating them
It's not a mandatory fight, but you get access to Deep Nest from an additional location, and also the Mantis Tribe will stop attacking you.
You earn Geo, a bench, easy access to Deepnest from the east side, the Mark of Pride charm, and arguably the best part of it, their respect. Every mantis will bow to you when you pass by and it’s pretty great

They had the most predictable move set ever
In my game they do all kinds of other crazy moves. You don’t show I still beat them, but they were way harder than this goofy sh** For instance, even when they were doing some of those moves, they were doing multiple of them at the same time and then when there was two, there were two doing multiples. It would be several of those things spinning around while they are disappearing and reappearing or one is coming across the screen while the other is divebombing… This makes it look like they do some little choreographed dance and you just simply do this this and this… That ain’t how it works. I guess it get your views on TH-cam though? Anyway, my advice if you’re having trouble is to keep doing it over and over again to learn or get lucky that’s all there is to it flat out this new device is obvious that course you’re gonna jump when he diveBombs you from the side? What ? Is this dude talking about??
