I drive a 2023 X1 with all the options except m-sport, and with 18” wheels for softer ride. Pros: quick, nimble, roomy, comfortable, easy access. Cons: biggest is lag/lurch from a stop. Next biggest is complicated menu system and poor guidance on its use. What else? Ability to automatically extricate itself from a tight space by remembering what you did to get into it.😊 Ride? Feels like a minor earthquake on a washboard, even with 18” wheels.😢
BMW X1 has more (comparable) leg room in the cabin because it's front-wheel-drive bias compared to the X3 which is rear-wheel-drive bias. What this means is the X3 has the engine shifted back to center its weight more, meaning the hood is longer, and the car overall is longer. There is no increase in overall length of the cabin comapred to the X1 because of this design, which the X1 borrowed using the Mini's clubman chasis. The X3 uses a BMW chasis design.
One thing Australia is planning on adding is that if certain things don't have physical buttons it will go against the vehicles saftey rating as well as its crash worthiness!
If that actually gets approved that will be such a blessing for new cars keep me posted on that but sadly, I really doubt they will implement tho. This world is not interested in providing us with quality practical machines.
I suspect, the manufacturers know a good solution: a set of programmable buttons; ideally, spaced out in smaller groups. People should complain directly to the companies instead of posting "random" comments all over the social media hoping that some company employees will read them and report the comments to whoever needs to know.
@@michaels3003 But that's what ANCAP and other bodies are for, is to pass on safety information, it shouldn't be up to the general pubic to tell them this stuff.
I don’t get the American car market - I’m in the U.K. and someone was explaining to me how difficult it was to buy new cars at discounted prices in the states. In fact he told me that cars are often sold for more than the recommended price, something that I never happen here. I’m currently looking for a new car and on most cars I’ve been considering I’ve been offered discounts from about 7% to as high as 14%. The only exception is Mercedes, who are notoriously stingy with discounts.
For daily driving sedan.. audi s3 or bmw 3 (330)series ? Under 35k , i liked the jetta gli , but if im spending around 50k, i want to know what is your take on these
@@RaghavMRR that’s tough my friend as these euro sedans have gotten very expensive over the years. One of the better deals right now would be on an Audi A5 sport back. Blends together decent ride quality with fun driving dynamics and has a practical hatch for storage.

Always wondered about this. Appreciate the clarification. 🫡

@@Excalabur50 thank you! Because that’s definitely a great thing if they do implement it

I showed in great detail how to get substantial discounts on new BMWs in the states.
UK bmw sales and customer service is xhit! no discount at all. i don't know why but they are just money grabber.
I would just get the X3 for rwd architecture or the X2 for style
