When I noticed there was five minutes after the credits, I thought for sure it was just going to be Alex reading the rest of his report the whole time. A Glengarry Glen Ross reference was way funnier. Bravo.
These Sleeves are made of solidified turtle tears imported on their own private jet from a secret air-force base in Guatemala. If one were to touch these sleeves without wearing using a cloth they will be like the Ark of The Covenant and destroy you entirely.
Alex! It's 2017! You are legally released from your mono black obligations! I somehow am convinced Alex's report relieving him from such obligations would hold up in court.
How many times did you make Allison watch Glengarry Glen Ross before she did that speech? Or did she come with it pre-prepared? Nice cameo from the Professor's deck box!
I had no idea luckily I watched this with a very smart and good friend who showed me ALEC BALDWIN GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS ALWAYS BE CLOSING FULL SPEECH it made this much funnier
Dunno, tried looking her up on google (her name was in the credits), and found her twitter account, figured I'd read her bio, but she has me blocked on twitter. For those wondering, no, I have never interacted with her before. :/
Man, that last scene has to be the longest post-credits scene that LRR has ever done. It's almost 5 minutes long! Most of the time they only last a few seconds! Great video, can't wait for the next one!
The stinger is twice as funny when you compare Friday Nights Alison to the Pre-Pre-Release Alison. I have no idea how many takes that stinger took due to people cracking up but I bet it was a lot. Great stuff! Also not sure it was intentional, but Alex and Paul both wearing an Alphathon t-shirt made me look it up.
That extended stinger was precisely targeted at LRR's core fan demographic. People who play semi-competitive in-store sealed magic who are also fans of dialogue heavy character-driven single-set stage-plays that were adapted to oscar award nominated movies.
Just watched that last segment again and can now appreciate it now that I’ve met that kind of person in real life. They got banned from the game store eventually.
I've had a very frustrating morning today. Whenever I jumped on TH-cam and saw this I got extremely excited. Thank you for making my day 1,000 times better!
I'm not sure why some people didn't like the ending, I've never seen Glengarry Glenn Ross and that was funny as hell. For a minute I thought she was going to go into the you can't handle the truth speech as well from A Few Good Men.
Huge decks aren't new - Huey Jensen once top-8'd a GP with a 244-card Standard deck (although his was only four colors) - but I don't think I've ever seen one in Standard without Battle of Wits, and certainly nobody comes to build one the same way Paul did.
I broke my thumb slamming the "Like" button! SOOOO glad Friday Nights is back!! It was amazing!! And the second bonus video actually brought tears to my eyes I was laughing so hard! XD!
So wild guess, the stack of cards Paul called a deck is actually James's Pauper cube. The card Paul is holding at 7:38 looks like it has the old card frame, and I know James's cube uses LR sleeves.
Graham's deadpan "No" is the best delivered line this show has ever produced.
i could not agree more!
i completely lost it at that line!!
He just looked so into it and happy before that too! Classic Graham.
It was perfect.
Hi jonah
"I've never been to the blind eternities myself but they sound a lot like Disneyland."
i am quoting that
So Alex is drawn to the Blind Eternities the way young kids are attracted to Disney. Good to know ;)
Alex will be the first eldrazi planeswalker
both have, as he described "chaotic energy". Accurate quote imo
When I noticed there was five minutes after the credits, I thought for sure it was just going to be Alex reading the rest of his report the whole time. A Glengarry Glen Ross reference was way funnier. Bravo.
Tyler what's better phyrexian metamorph or clever impersonator
So that's what it was. Makes sense then.
"16 Sylvan Advocates?" Brilliant.
That made me laugh the hardest.
made me laugh out loud soo much
I seriously loved that
Alison: "You see this deck?"
Me: "N-No, I don't. ...Is it inside the box?"
This sounds like what Alex would say if he was there
and he would probably face her with his mono red deck and reck her. he would smile and GG.
She left her box there, and the deck inside of it. Free loot?
Was that monologue from something, or did she just make it up on the spot?
Because it sounds like a monologue from some movie
@@Kokonutzlz sweet it probably had jms or moxes
"These sleeves are more valuable then your sealed pool" ...lmao.
Going to tell that to every opponent I play at prerelease.
"Where are you buying your sleeves?" XD lol
To be fair, that'll be true of the average sealed pool
I checked preorder prices for my rares and selling bedlam reveler and elder deep fiend is $10.
These Sleeves are made of solidified turtle tears imported on their own private jet from a secret air-force base in Guatemala. If one were to touch these sleeves without wearing using a cloth they will be like the Ark of The Covenant and destroy you entirely.
"5 game losses for slow play. Shuffling."
Alex! It's 2017! You are legally released from your mono black obligations! I somehow am convinced Alex's report relieving him from such obligations would hold up in court.
"no dominant archetype in standard" hahahahaaahahahah
Best joke in the episode.
^This
This blew the entire episode... I don't know if that joke was intentional or if they really belive that GW is not dominant...
Also 24 copies of Dromoka's command in the top 8 of a gp a couple weeks ago.
supersweet joke then :D *****
The "16 Sylvan Advocates" joke was hilarious.
How many times did you make Allison watch Glengarry Glen Ross before she did that speech? Or did she come with it pre-prepared? Nice cameo from the Professor's deck box!
thx, I was totally lost about what had happened there
I had no idea luckily I watched this with a very smart and good friend who showed me ALEC BALDWIN GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS ALWAYS BE CLOSING FULL SPEECH it made this much funnier
The Professor has the best deck boxes!
Funniest episode yet! "GET REKT, THAT'S MY NAME" haha i lost it lol
38 years old. And I laughed my ass off at Cam's reaction to the "brass bombs." Well played, LRR.
Damn, Alison's acting skills are amazing. Btw, that is the Professor's deckbox, if you watched the preprerelease!
I liked that ending in a way I probably shouldn't have.
I hear you, man.
That was pretty hot
The smell of overweight neckbeards...
Hi
7:40 Paul just casually shuffling his Imperial Seal into his 285 card standard deck lol
WHO IS THIS LADY AT THE END AND WHY IS SHE SO ANGRY?
she works somewhere at Wizards but i have no idea why she was making fun of them XD
Dunno, tried looking her up on google (her name was in the credits), and found her twitter account, figured I'd read her bio, but she has me blocked on twitter.
For those wondering, no, I have never interacted with her before. :/
It's a movie refrence glengarry glen ross
Viredae you've never been to her twitter before and she blocked you? o.O
+Viredae wow, you normally have to be a gamegate-level asshat to get that kind of treatment.
Allison scares me.
Haha she really isn't like that xD
It was an incredible performance :D
There goes my boner...
+cory_i I don't know "my draws were bad?!? YOUR DECK IS BAD!!!" kinda had me...
We like different kinds of women....
"Uncle Istvan with Urza's Power Armor" XD
“ - tainted with Phyrexian oil”

I was expecting her to ask if they'd like to join the Gatewatch protocol like Nick Fury at the end of Iron Man.
At 3:11, when Graham went *nod* *nod* *smile* "No." my sides went to the heavens.
Also the entire Allison bit was hilarious.
"That's not even a good deck name!"
"Nope."
Such a simple exchange and it still got a big laugh from me.
Graham’s flat “no” at the order gives me life.
Allison was FANTASTIC! Wow, that ending was great!
Oh my god, the Glen Garry Glen Ross spoof. Brilliant.
I just watched this ... the best thing I have seen in long time. -- My draws were bad, your deck is bad!
I think Alison is my new favorite person lol great episode guys!!
"who the fvk was that" best line in the video haha
Oh man. That was the best thing I've seen all day. I just about lost it at "Always Be Casting". Thank you.
Allison is officially now my favorite game coach
Please upload these more I've watched the whole playlist over and over again and I love every single one
introducing the prof.'a deck box as our beloved cameo
The Alex bit is the greatest thing ever.
I love that uncle istvan shout out, I used to put him in all my decks back in the day just cause he was awesome
Paul: there's no dominant archetype.
Wizards: how about Mardu vehicles?
What about 4 Color Saheeli?
Or like so many others since then (ex: simic food, Omnath)
@@tortle1055 Now everything is busted everywhere!
"Put that mana down"... i thought she would suggest playing legacy with manaless dredge
11:13 mighty sexy box you have there, but I'm a bit biased :D SOOOOO COOL!!!
In hindsight, in a show filled with quality moments, Alex’s presentation is one of the most magical moments in FNM’s history.
I'm not sure why some people didn't like the ending, I've never seen Glengarry Glenn Ross and that was funny as hell. For a minute I thought she was going to go into the you can't handle the truth speech as well from A Few Good Men.
The amount of callbacks in this episode made me quite happy. Great job, Team LoadingReadyRun!
U guys should post these more often that's the only reason why I'm subscribed
isn't the five colour deck an ancient idea already? i remember people with decks with 150~200 cards, was an nightmare when they used discard
Huge decks aren't new - Huey Jensen once top-8'd a GP with a 244-card Standard deck (although his was only four colors) - but I don't think I've ever seen one in Standard without Battle of Wits, and certainly nobody comes to build one the same way Paul did.
He wasn't playing battle of wits. :(
Haha. "The Golgari Lands"--there's the payoff. CABS was nice, too.
yoooo that second bit was even more hilarious than the first lmao
you all killed it as per usual!
I absolutely love the Glengarry Glen Ross bit 8:43
fucken brilliant.
It takes Brass Bombs. Beautiful.
-What's your name?
+GET RKTED! THAT'S MY NAME!
Ah yes, I remember when 5 color good stuff was a deck in Standard. Those were the good old days.
Alison makes a god Alec Baldwin
Seems familiar, I can't put my finger on what this is a parody of.
@@naejin It's from the movie Glengarry Ross. Always Be Closing!
> If you don't get the reference, ask someone over 30.
Ow, my back.
Hay I'm so glad it is back please keep making these videos they are extremely entertaining
This is the best episode you guys have made
Friday nights are always good but this one was just sooooo well written and acted from beginning to end. I think this is now one of my favourites now
Alex is finally freed from his contract!
The rant reference at the end, still just saps all the joy from the episode for me...
Every time I decide to give it a chance I regret it.
Alison is a surprisingly good actor. Laughed so hard I had to pause twice.
Alex always makes for a great opener.
Alison & Kathleen’s characters would fit perfectly in the competitive prerelease in STL that awards a case to first place.
Or top 8 split & each get a box, which is how it always went down.
That stinger was just amazing. I'm still giggling 10 minutes later.
I love all the throwbacks to the old Friday Nights.
after looking up and watching that movie reference. Well done LRR, very well done.
I was like "I haven't seen this one yet, weird"
what was that last part all about?
Search the TH-cams for "coffee is for closers" and you should find something explanatory.
It's a full homage to a pretty famous movie.
I have to disagree. I was laughing my ass off multiple times during her speech, and it got funnier the longer she went.
same. really enjoyed it.
They did do something with The Professor. Go check Tolarion Community College for the newest Office Hours video with Garruk.
Okay. I laughed my ass off at "Mana's for casters!"
thanks so much for making a new friday nights
did alex's brother actually throw up on the ride?
Probably
and this is why my EDH decks have never been the same again... ABC CABS. Thank you Alison.
Watching this in 2020 is uncanny
she left the deck behind
That end segment was so much longer than I expected.
The fact he mentioned Uncle Istvan was enough for me to be happy. My childhood ❤️
that was great. I needed that laugh this morning. Thank you LRR
Just what was needed a day before Prerelease!
The writing for this show is mox gold.
I cracked up at so many of Graham's moments in this. I love that man. I hope that he gets to do official MTG coverage or something in the future.
Great episode guys!
My umpteenth rewatch of this series. Just as good now (if not better) as it was 6 years ago.
whats your name? GET REKT THATS MY NAME!! lmao im dying im in tears
Oh my god the post credits scene is amazing.
Has anybody else rewatched the Friday Nights series multiple times? Or is it just me?
I wish the episode would of ended with Graham saying "And this is why we need to remember to lock the doors around here."
I broke my thumb slamming the "Like" button! SOOOO glad Friday Nights is back!! It was amazing!! And the second bonus video actually brought tears to my eyes I was laughing so hard! XD!
Reading back through these comments two years later, I'm really sad that not more people have referred to the stinger as Golgari Glen Ross.
As long as first place gets 16 packs, it's gonna be semi-competitive.
OMG... the ending is beautiful!
One year later, still beautiful.
FINALLY AFTER THE WAIT WE HAVE A FRIDAY NIGHTS AND ITS ACTUALLY LONG
Whoever that lady was at the end, best actor to ever grace Friday Nights
Graham killed me when he was shaking his head in agreement and was just like no
Also the stinger with Allison is still the best thing to come from Friday nights.
This is by far the best Friday Nights so far :D
So wild guess, the stack of cards Paul called a deck is actually James's Pauper cube. The card Paul is holding at 7:38 looks like it has the old card frame, and I know James's cube uses LR sleeves.
Correct.
James Turner Yay! I'm so proud of myself!
My second wild guess is that the card he's holding is a Faceless Butcher.
The coffee for closers speech was a nice way to end this. Great video
I love that opening conversation, 'cause it really does sum up my feelings about people thinking Merit Lige was gonna be in Eldritch Moon.
I can look at that new Graham Stark card for over a minute, and still get entertained :D
First time watching this channel great stuff guys!!!! I loved the snapcaster bolt answer myself ;)
When my brother ate so many churros he threw up on the ride I’m dieing
