I love how James has Ancient Spider, a Green-White Spider in his Black-Green Spider Commander but doesn't want a Dragonlair Spider, a Red-Green spider in his spider deck.
That made me want to figuratively commit suicide by tapping all my lands and dying through mana burn at the end of my turn - i hope to remember that when i am about to loose my next game.
I think Alex's card was the best. It is actually balanced and playable. Since it would only get one vote, it becomes a two three for two red with haste. Not broken, but pretty good.
How my first conspiracy draft went down: Kept a stable board with Ascended Lawmages (I had 3) and boost them with Agendas. In the end lose by decking, because becoming monarch too often actually makes you draw a lot of cards.
You know what I've just realised? Since retiring from Commander, James has made 3 Commander decks. Clanmander - James makes an Orc commander deck. Non-standard Rotation - James makes a Werewolf commander deck. And now, James has made the Spider commander deck. Of course, he's now unretired... or, well... reretired... So I assume he's going to make more commander decks.
Huh... Now I REALLY wanna play a game of judge's tower. Possibly because I have the advantage of frequently playing a chaos commander deck AT REQUEST that wins primarily due to concessions from "nope fuck this, all you did was cast Trait Doctoring and now we're suddenly resolving 5 Living Deaths and a Living End with over half our decks in play".
Look at how tiny Cam's deck is XD EDIT: So I was going to edit in the other amazing parts of the video. Then I realized that would literally be a full video commentary
I opened 2 copies of Ishkanah yesterday. Unfortunately it was during a sealed between friends using my friend's booster packs... He was pretty happy, until I played Ishkanah 3 times and then Emrakul against him in a single game.
Wait, I thought the distinction between the "Commodore Hustle" universe and the "Friday Nights" universe was that everybody plays magic in the Friday-verse. Why is Beej the anomaly?
Whoever designs the fake cards in the opening credits does an amazing job. Particularly loved Paul's. 10/10 would first pick.
I was just about to comment on that. Love Paul's card.
Pretty sure they do each of them themselves
Yeah. I want a card of me.
Also james
I would name islands
Protip: don't send james a spider.
Send him 4, he needs them for standard.
Ishkanah is legendary, maybe 3?
3 for standard, 1 for edu
Joanna Winters then another for Canadian highlander
These videos are my comfort food. I come back and watch them again every 6 months or so.
I love how paul flips a birds of Paradise in a mono black deck, that kills him for 1 damage
I love how James has Ancient Spider, a Green-White Spider in his Black-Green Spider Commander but doesn't want a Dragonlair Spider, a Red-Green spider in his spider deck.
Must have been an oversight or mistake lol, but yeah good point.
We need a Naya legendary spider already!
tap tap concede, subtle genius
That made me want to figuratively commit suicide by tapping all my lands and dying through mana burn at the end of my turn - i hope to remember that when i am about to loose my next game.
Prep coin concede
@@brennanweiss4135 I haven't played hearthstone in 2 years and that still hurts
I just realized 8:20 Alex walks off screen, but doesn't follow the others to the game.
But remember, there may be monarchies with better crowns, but they don't have... THIS hat!
3:15 Did Cam just . . . Tap Tap Concede?
I like that you included Beej
I was going to say that
"Until next time, there may be *better* sources for the rule of law, but they don't have... this crown."
*cue the fireworks and the Feed Dump end theme*
All hail Paul of the Stupid Hat, may his reign be as long as his hat is odd.
The fact that this was posted before the actual LRR Conspiracy draftstream makes the Partybob play even more amazing!
Friday Nights is the only thing you guys post on this channel worth tunning in for. Pay LLR for more of these.
Agreed.
I haven't missed an episode, and made a special pilgrimage to YellowJacket. And I don't even play Magic.
ErrantScholar I
I ama simple man: I see Friday Nights, I watch. I see Alex Steacy in the thumbnail, I like, comment AND subscribe.
You weren't subscribed already?
+Protagonist he unsubscribed then subscribed again
Well this isn't on LoadingReadyRun, it's on Magic: The Gathering.
+CSDragon Ya, but since they post Friday nights on this channel now, it is worth subbing to this channel as well.
haha yeah Alex is the best.
I love the whole episode, but the burger puzzle being completed under the glass is awesome. Glad it got some use.
This Friday nights is certainly one of my favourites, Nice job guys :)
Such a good episode. The austerity measures line so good
There are other sources of Magic, but they don't have... this hat.
Ah LRR you never fail to impress.
8:37 I choose to honour him as “Paul of _This_ Hat”
Sick opening cards, and sick Monty Python references throughout.
I built a spider deck because of Paul and it's one of my favorites
I actually want to play Judge's Tower now
Conspiracy: literally just grab the crown off of someone's head
3:12. Tap-Tap-Concede
There may be better sources for monarchs, but they don't have, this hat.
*Cue the Feed Dump end theme*
Ancient spider is green-white and Ishkana is black-green, James' commander deck cannot have ancient spider in it.
These just keep getting better and better!
I was expecting the crown to be from burger king
i love reading the cards in the intro. so funny. "you may vote 'meh'" love it.
I think Alex's card was the best. It is actually balanced and playable. Since it would only get one vote, it becomes a two three for two red with haste. Not broken, but pretty good.
Rich Hagon was perfect for this. Loved it!
I love that nickname of "Party Bob" :-D
I know right?
i walked past James once or twice and attended a panel he also attended on Friday at PAX!!
Did Cameron just tap 2 mana to concede?
I hope James is prepared to get Ishkanah-related everything at events and in the mail lol.
How my first conspiracy draft went down:
Kept a stable board with Ascended Lawmages (I had 3) and boost them with Agendas. In the end lose by decking, because becoming monarch too often actually makes you draw a lot of cards.
wow rich hagon as generic medeival documentary narrator is some good shit
You know what I've just realised? Since retiring from Commander, James has made 3 Commander decks.
Clanmander - James makes an Orc commander deck.
Non-standard Rotation - James makes a Werewolf commander deck.
And now, James has made the Spider commander deck.
Of course, he's now unretired... or, well... reretired... So I assume he's going to make more commander decks.
That Judge's Tower thing actually sounds kind of cool...
* looks it up *
nnnope.
im the master of it at my local groups game
8:08 There may be MANY games of Conspiracy, but they don't have THIS hat!
This has to be my favorite of the Friday nights.
love the show, always a nice surprise when we get an episode
The ending to both 4 matches on stream make so much more sense now.
Watching Paul rub Gisela on the table was both very funny and a little painful because I know it is a double faced card.
Dudes, totally waiting for james' reign and first order "get me an ishkana"
i just noticed the engrams behind the table during the intro; glad to see i'm not alone
I love this new Episode. keep it up, Guys!
Love how the title screen cards get updated every so often, its the little things that count!
When Cam ALMOST managed to pull this off on Stream...
A L M O S T
so, everyone's gonna send james ishkanah now right?
I'm down. I'll be at PAX next weekend if you wanna give me spiders.
+James Turner got an extra ishkanah, BUT you live in Canada and I live in Canada's pants so we will never see each other.
may i say your new intro cards are the best so far !!! (specialy alex)
ps: we need more friday nights
KnightS of the Black Rose. There may be only one of the white orchid, but there's at least two of these guys,
The "guards" should have been beej. And seizing them would have sent them to the dumpster.
Planeswalker999 nice profile
Love, Love, Love, the new opening LRR cards. SO good.
Kathleen's tap effect would be so game breaking. LOL
I think king Graham would've been the most just, and Queen Kat the meanest of them all
You underestimated Cameron's malevolence
+bongonongo2002 I would never underestimate Cameron the vengeful, But you cannot compete with the Black Queen
I feel like Cam's rule would be most likely to build great (but horrible) monuments than the reign of Kathleen
Thank god I'm not the only one that really wanted to build a spider deck
I want a poster of the LRR linage.
Great to have you guys back!!!
Brb, just going to get a plastic crown for my playgroup.
So many monarchs, i liked; also james one day man one day.
Paul was on 1 life as he flipped bird of the top
This felt more like an extended Crapshot then an episode of Friday Nights.
You could say James
*puts on sunglasses*
took the crown.
YEEEEEEEE-
“My chips!”
“OUR CHIPS”
Suddenly communist
And so James cast his title of commander champion into the sea along with the crown.
Wait a minute... James made an EDH orc deck with Zurgo Helmsmasher as the general. I guess he built the deck, but never played a game with it?
Nope. He retired before that. He was fulfilling 12 year old James's wishes for an orc deck.
Oooh, that's some funky logic. I still say he un-retired to build the deck and call it a continuity fail.
I think you're underestimating the power of James-Logic.
He also built that werewolf deck a few episodes back
/Alex/ was the one who wanted Zurgo for EDH. James wanted him for Kitchen Table solely because he was an orc.
Nice work folks! Loved this one immensely.
Also, kicking myself that I didn't recognise the voice over before the credits.
Becomes dictator: *OUR CHIPS* 😂💀
How many people sent James a spider after this video?
3:16 Tap Tap Concede!
I'm lost it when Beej became the monarch.
Great video can't wait till next one.
Paul Sanders: the real horror of Elm street.
very funny stuff guys, keep up the great work
Poor James the retired spider king.
It's surprising how many of our draft games ended with bob's wrath, and how few of them I won...
awesome video!! need more....
Look at how tiny Cam's deck is XD
EDIT: So I was going to edit in the other amazing parts of the video. Then I realized that would literally be a full video commentary
Who remembers "target player gets Alex donuts"
4:42 that actual reference to Justin Trudeau XD
Who else sees homage to Monty Python in this video?
I have a question: Why were James and Graham having their first conversation while sitting outside on the curb?
"our chips" *blasts ussr anthem*
cant wait to see what the kaladesh one will be like.
Loved it!
In 2018, Ishkanah is a problem that costs 68 cents.
Cam's card looks pretty sweet, unless you can't back up your pod-crushing powers.
Fantastic!
oh my god I only just got the Tap Tap Concede visual reference you brilliant bastards
Hahahaha I love Kathleen's card!
Kinda preferring this way of making these sketches, basing them of ideas connected to Magic instead of Magic Entirely.
Was this narrated by Rich Hagon??!!??!!
Yeah, he's listed in the credits.
It's just a big conspiracy (to) take the crown
Are you going to be making more episodes
Sooo Paul actually died to a duskmantle seer trigger revealing Birds.... cool
I paused the episode and read all of the cards in the intro
