A fabulous life story Granger, You have achieved so much in your life and you should be so proud of what you have achieved. I am so privileged that I was part of your aviation life in your early Air Niugini days as one of your training captains in the late 1970’s. You are spot on about the need for the PNG Government to put money into rural airstrips and infrastructure to support the remote villages/communities. May our wonderful God bless you in your life in all ways.
I recalled in 1985 when Captain Granger Narara flew us from Rabaul former airport to Aropa airport in Bougainville at the end of November 1985 start of my school holiday. I can still remembered that his first officer was an expatriate on a F28 Air Niugini aircraft.
I can still recalled at that time Captain Granger Narara was still young and he did not had much weight in those days. He had a big hair at that time when he flew us from old Rabaul airport to Aropa airport in Bougainville on F28 Air Niugini aircraft.
This guy is incredible. This guy is the chief pilot who was greatly involved in the growth of United Arab emirates and grew it from 5 aero planes to what it is today. Incredible human being
Captain Ranger Narara is the best in PNG aviation. He represented PNG globally with distinction. Now that he is back to PNG, he has to be considered for the top job in Air Niugini.
From humble beginnings thru upbringing from missionaries, your foundations were established and Gods favour has been with you all thru out your flying career. Post Independence there could have been alot of challenges but your defeated them all, what a story tobe admired. God bless you and your family. You make us all so proud tobe PNGeans.🙏
Grew up at Erima, over the hills in the 80s and would hear the Talair plane taking off and landing every day and even travelled on it to Mendi and to Tari (on the twin otter)... little did I know I would hear such a story from one of our very own....good memories
Capt Narara, congratulations and well done as trailblazer for PNG pilots, what a record and a legacy. As a young PX management cadet in 1998, we were at Jackson's watching the all PNG crew flying the Airbus A320 Brisbane to Pom touch down. Very proud moment for us as young PX employees and as PNGeans. Thank God for such an achievement.
My first time hearing of Granger Narara was in 1981 when Danny Wanma ,Leslie Babaga and his small sister were flown in from Simbu to Aiyura by the Man himself on a Sunday.
It's people like you Captain that reminds the world that PNG is not so bad. I am a proud Pngean because of you and your achievement. Keep soaring the bird of paradise in paradise.

Wow, Captain Granger Narara, very inspirational story. Congratulations as well to you & your family for being part of the great history in PNG Aviation. God Bless you all..
Thank you Malum Nalu for bringing out this hidden icon in aviation. Its prople like Captain Narara that give hope to this country, that we as a people can be as competitive as anyone out there in the world. A very interesting insight into the airline industry on the world and local stage, and very good thoughts in place for the next 50 years in PNG aviation. Hats off to the PNG pioneers he mentioned as well in this interview. Proud nation builders propelled by their passion for flying, and especially starting off in PNG, one of the most challenging environments to fly in in the world. And this is why I agree that we have some of the best pilots in the world. Thank God for our aviators! Proud of you Captain Narara, thank you for sharing your story. God bless you and family. God bless PNG
Thank God for Captain Granger NARARA. You made our country PNG very very proud in the Aviation Industry. Thank you to your wife and the family for giving all the support. Praise the Lord.

My hats off to you, Capt Narara and your family of aviators. May God bless you all, your peer group and other PNG'ans who are flying our National flag internationally. Thank you also for your insight of the aviation industry in PNG. Hope the Govt, berucrats have taken note of some of your concerns about improving the aviation services. You have a birds eye view. You've been there, flown globally.... hey Govt of PNG..Grangger is an aviation icon...take him onboard , appoint him as a Aviation Consultant. Bless Capt Narrara.

Big ups to the creator of this video we need more videos like this to inspire many of our younger generations Please do some videos on our Pioneering Geologists and Mining engineers, computer engineers. It would be a great history lesson and also see how they changed and adapted to the Internet era.
Wonderful and very encouraging listening to Capt Granger Narara. The Govt ought to take heed of areas that requires improvement in the aviation industry in PNG going forward as highlighted in this interview. Capt Narara, have made PNG but most importantly, Milne Bayans proud. Kagutoki🙏
You are too good you are. May God give you long life whilst on this planet. PNG has produced some prominent pilots over the years and we are very proud of you and the rest of the pilots. You have done the hard yard. You can now relax and look back on your contributions to the country world and the aviation industry.❤❤
What an inspiring story. Granger is indeed a role model in the aviation industry. Showed the world what we can do. I'm proud to be a Milne Bayan with guys like him around.
A great aviator who deserves the best recognition . Perhaps the top jobs both in Air Niugini and NAC would be nice for Mr Narara to be considered for. If he has flown one of the world's largest passenger dreamliner like the A380 then any of these jobs would suit him well. He has done PNG very proud. WELL DONE CAPTAIN NARARA.

When I am traveling back home via Bris, Syd, hk, Nandi n; see air niugini at the flight terminal it feels like home again n I say..that's my plane!
Absolutely fantastic, Capt. Nanara. A true son of PNG. If the lovely people of Miline Bay can get him into the Haus Tambaran come 2027 as minister for civil aviation, that would be a real blessing for Papua New Guinea...
Agreed. This man should be next CEO of Air Niugini. Air Niugini needs his combined sterling performance and proven domestic and international expodure and expertise to reset itself and grow going forward. Congratulations Captain Granger Narara, you have done PNG proud !!!.🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
A great son of PNG. He surely deserves a top post in our national airline: Air Niugini to bring up to world standard. It's all there in him, though humble, if given opportunity, am sure he will: either as MD/CEO or Board Chairman
I think your experience speaks volumes for the aviation industry in the country and your story is a wonderful motivation factor for anyone wishing to take up the challenge this sector
Granger you have indeed achieved much and that is a credit to you, its been quite a 'ride'. I see one of the keys to this was the first sponsorship to study towards a Commercial licence. Tico too inspired many students here in Milne Bay to consider being a pilot, but its is very prohibitive, costing around PGK300,000 to attain these days (eg MAF Mareeba) which is near 10x more than a degree at UPNG, which is far beyond the greater majority of Papua New Guineans means. That is a serious challenge. Yet we need pilots. More cadetships? Sadly we just lost Capt David Sandery before Christmas.
Captain Narara I'm proud of you for your achievements in the history of aviation in PNG and put PNG on the world map , wish to be on a flight with you in PNG before you retire,, Recommend you to be the CEO of Air niugini or either CEO for NAC with respect to your aviation career achievements ❤🙏🙏👍
You have the potential to start another airline or flight school.( Air Narara / Narara flying Academy) Please do if you have time. Opportunity is here. Break the aviation monopoly. PNG is blessed to have you.
Government must wake up, fix the inflation, allow village people who do have better children to afford school fees for their children to go to such schools. This is one contributing factor..
