Thanks for the ride Ryan. ATC: Is this the world famous Ryan? Ryan: Yes it is. ATC: just wanted to say hello so I could hear myself on TH-cam. Loved it.
Good morning, you don't know me but I'll get straight to the point, do you know what the word missionary is? a commitment, a duty, an obligation to be carried out. Mission is a group of people who receive a task to fulfill (diplomatic mission, scientific mission, business mission, cultural mission, etc.). Its mission is to bring respect, dignity, and well-being, that is, to teach cultures how to take care of their bodies. Mind and its people in a human way
@@AdeilzaOliveira-s3iwhat’s your point? You didn’t explain! I love what Ryan does. But you said “it’s” but didn’t explain what it was. Or why you felt the need to correct TH-cam viewers. Weird and makes no sense. Not everyone needs to be taught how to look after their bodies, I’m pretty sure the PNG residents are well aware (but maybe some do?) Like I say, I do love what Ryan does with his life, brings a whole heap of love and benefits to the PNG communities. It seems like a trolling from @AdeilzaOlivera-s3i
@@kevinfairclough4619Good morning, well, I was sending a message to the person who calls himself a missionary, I have nothing to do with the point, I'm explaining to this person through messages so he can understand what a missionary is, I know he's your instructor, showing you how to maneuver in some planes but only through this channel can I clarify his misunderstanding about what it means to be a real missionary, ok
11:15 - the ole double mic click.. Back in my old CB radio days in the 80s, I used that double click acknowledgement all the time. That was very nostalgic for me to see.
My parents were missionaries in PNG with Wycliffe back in the 70’s, and indeed, I was born there during that time. I love the videos and appreciate seeing you visit places where they had gone. Keep up the great content!
Great Video! Love the fact that Australian Controllers know your voice and the aircraft number I would assume - everyone is watching…awesome!!!. Your international flights are very interesting because of the general procedures, instrument approaches, departures, and approach and departure procedures! Beautiful crosswind landing!!!
In the days of universal apathy it's very refreshing to see someone take pride and responsibility in their tasks... especially aviation. You have to be the change you want to see.
Ryan hi from Alberta, Canada I really enjoy your channel always look forward to a posting. It was great to add in this Intl flight would love to see more of them when the opportunity presents itself. The challenges of Intl flight over open water are very interesting. As a retired freight pilot I really respect your skill level and airmanship. Also great to see PNG as a country from the air, ground and it's people. Additionally I respect you and your families commitment to serve and support the mission. The airlift is such a vital component of supporting work in the field, particularly in a country so geographically challenging. Two of my wife's uncles were pastors for the Christion Missionary Alliance in the Congo. Safe flying and thanks.
I'm, amazed, how ,much Information, you have to take in and digest ,your job is not one for someone who doesn't have a good memory. A really interesting flight .Nice to hear ,fellow, Aussies being aware of your channel.
I'm an amateur radio (ham) operator, and I applaud your ability to remember all the numbers you are given over the radio and repeat them back flawlessly every time. I have been doing amateur radio for a few years now, and unless I write everything down straight away, I immediately forget it. Great channel Ryan. Thanks for everything you do on TH-cam.
Thanks for another cool video, great to see a glimpse of the Short Belfast on the ground at Cairns near the beginning of the video. Hasn't flown for a while and one of only two left in existence (the other is in the RAF museum). Would be cool to see more of that if you ever go back to Cairns. Thanks for the channel, I've been following for a few months now.
Great video again, Ryan. Always learning from your professionality for my sim. Had yesterday my first turn around. Moresby to Tapini AYTI with my Cessna U206 in XPlane 12. No chance to land there due to clouds down to the valley. So return to AYPY. 😅 God bless you Ryan.
Ryan, I really enjoyed the international flight.. I know that a flight like this is a welcome change from your normal day. It was nice of the Aussie Air Traffic Controllers to say hello. Sounds like they have a lot of respect for you. As others have commented, they always seem real friendly. Stay safe my friend.
absolutely a great interesting flight, your popularity with flight controllers obvious and interesting to hear the process of a flight thanks again and what does your wife think of your increasing fame? Cheers from Australia
Well, the price of fame - seems like Cairns ATC were doing doing their equivalent of asking you for a selfie..... It certainly is a very different flying environment going to Cairns.
Flew in and out of Cairns many times 20 years ago - mostly as a passenger, couple of times as PIC, still looks and sounds the same! Felt like you were under some pressure - international workload, busy airspace, bad night? no dunny? even a crosswind on landing. Or perhaps just not wanting to leave Australia! Regardless, well executed, informative and entertaining. Thanks heaps for sharing!
It really amazing how auto pilot flies air planes to there destinations and the pilot big responsibility is to take off and land the plane. Its amazing
You have a fans in Aussie? Awesome! lol I don't know know about you, but if I was going to be over the ocean further than 10 miles I'd wear that vest & have that raft.
The funny thing is, there is no recent flight in P2-NTZ tracked from Cairns. There is a flight from Cairns to Port Moresby logged to P2-NTE in Flight Radar on 10 December.
It’s always a great feeling of confidence, safety, and comfort when watching you fly ! I hope you to be my pilot on every single flight i take. Recently I took frequent domestic and international flights between south Brazil and Uruguay, huge bumpy turbulence could always last 30-40 minutes, although it’s an A321.
Interesting seeing Cairns from the air - lived there many years ago I enjoy your vlogs - sit here heart in mouth as you land on the bush airstrips. The ingenuity of building them and keeping "plane ready" must be difficult. To you and your family Seasons Greetings🎄 - all the best for 2025🎉. Thank you for taking me flying/ sharing your flights.💙...more in 25 please🖐 Jan Adelaide
Ryan, another survivor piece of gear you should consider in case you go into the drink is signaling laser it works great too at night too and it is legal to beam an aircraft with it too.
Clearly we're not the only ones who love watching you! My husband used to fly, decades ago, so he helps me understand things when he can (things have changed a lot since then, though!). I do have a question though--I noticed that you flew the circuit to the right this time instead of to the left--is that common? I've never really paid attention when we travel, but suddenly it seemed different to see you going to the right. Hope you keep these going--this is our favorite channel!
Nice to spend time with you Ryan. I'm intrigued. How do you prevent yourself becoming click happy during so many routine checks and observations without the aid of a co-pilot to help stop the holes in the Swiss cheese lining up? It must be tricky as times, when tired or under task saturation conditions......?? Keep up the good work. K.
Hi Ryan, I’m interested in flying. I’m originally up near PNG. Would you have some advice on the steps I could take to learn to fly please? I do understand it’s an expensive career to undertake, would like to do the training the most affordable way? My love for aviation began from flying around the Torres Strait islands. Thanks.
when did you fly that flight. Noticed a KC135 in the background, there was 6 living in cairns in october as they supported the B-2 strike on the houtie rebels
So do the PNG aviation authorities just avoid assigning registration numbers in the P2-Pxx range? 'cause otherwise I could see conflicts occurring between domestic flights and international flights...
@@MissionaryBushPilot Oddly enough, I had actually figured that much out. 6 aircraft all with a P2-NTx Registration, with P2 referring to PNG and NT referring to New Tribes.
