- This is Hyundai's latest factory scan tool that can be purchased with the GDS Mobile Lite Kit (VCI-2). It is used with a compatible android tablet and a one year subscription is needed with GIT of America.
NOTE: This will not have full functions with older vehicles from the 2000's. In this case the VCI-1 kit will be needed.
The VCI-2 can also be used with KIA but will require a separate tablet and one year subscription from GIT. The one year subscription also comes with service info that can only be accessed from the tablet only. Everything I mentioned can be purchased for the aftermarket user (non-dealer) such as myself.
The tablet used is the Samsung Galaxy Active Pro Wi-Fi
Model# SM-T540NZKAXAR, Android version 10.

How did you connect the interface directly to the module? Is that cable provided?
The interface was connected directly to the module. I made the wiring harness myself with wire and terminals.
@@autotechtogo6290 sounds like you just used the wiring diagram to read the pins you need?
Does the reading/powering of a independent module create any issues?
@@ayd9305 Your right, I read the diagram and supplied power, ground and CAN circuit to the interface along with a ignition switch.
I've done this with many manufacturers with no problems. There is also a harness you can purchase for doing this but I made my own. It's totally safe from my experience.
@@autotechtogo6290 Good to know. I noticed theres the camera and recorded data options. Does the camera store images that are accessible with this kit?
@@ayd9305 GDS has the function to take a snapshot that is easily accessible in android files. After making this video, I noticed a recording function used from the tablets drop down. Its very easy to use and access the files.

I purchased the Hyundai Mobile Lite kit from Bosch directly. The subscription was purchased from Hyundai GIT of America.

I got mine from Bosch Automotive Service Solutions. Paint $2700 dollars plus tax. The yearly subscription is $1500.

Would this work with updating the ecm on a 2010 Genesis coupe?
Not sure. 2010 might be too old.
I couldn't update a pcm on a 2012 Hyundai recently. I needed the vci-1. Hyundai has 2 vci's and are very expensive. I rarely have to program them so I don't think I'll invest in the vci-1.

Is it possible to export the data recorded to a Excel spreadsheet in order to make easier the visualization and analysis process? The file generated is ".GSR" and I don't know how to open this kind of files without GDS mobile app.
I don't know any other ways to open save data other then using the mobile app. I really wish Hyundai would give us more options to review saved data.

The company is called Hyundai GIT of America. From there you can only purchase a yearly subscription of around $1400 US dollars.

hey bro can you show the process how to calibrate the electronic wastegate actuator on a Genesis coupe 2013
I would have to hook the tool up to the vehicle which i don't have. I've never done it before but the process should be simple and other scan tools should do it as well.
