This is wonderful....music from Vienna, waltzes from Johann Strauss played by these young and talented people...Oh, I wish I could travel to Poland and listen to one of their concerts in person. Bravo, Akademia Filmu...!!!
As an elderly man watching beautiful young people performing lovely classical music together fills my heart with pleasure. These young people provide a counterbalance to much banal material which acts as entertainment today. Their talent is unaccountably underrated by followers of much popular music and by prowess on the sports fields today.
I'm 79, and I'm with you. But the playing here is a little square. With the Viennese waltz you must slightly anticipate and accent the second beat. These kids could have done it--if the conductor had shown them how.
@@bobsteiner9209 I suspect the conductor preferred a smooth regular beat, since, as you say, he could easily have instructed the orchestra to employ the Viennese beat, which, of course can be overdone. Nevertheless, it was a pleasure to watch those young people again.
Absolutely my all-time favorite rendition of Voices of Spring. Can't say enough good things about this production. The youthful vigor, passion & virtuosity of the musicians combined with the conductor's interpretation are the best! An extraordinary recording, musically, tempo, visually, technically & the sound is top notch. Thank you for posting this & your other fine videos Akademia! My life is richer & better because of it.

Hoping we all can go back to dance to the tune of this waltz in Vienna, Warsaw, and other European capitals in Spring 2022. I miss seeing grand dance ball scenes during the long lockdown. Hoping with everyone vaccinated life can go back to normal sooner than later....

The film is brilliant. Rare to not just see a whole view. This really shows the work that goes into it. They all look young too, so perhaps that has to do with it. The Berlin orch play this the best IMO, but not on youtube!
