Please can you do a tutorial on how to make the smokey Hausa jellof rice? My friend Adamu has a restaurant here in the US but i moved to another city. He's the only one that was cooking that northern taste unfortunately where am at right now there's no Adamu 🤦
Lovely, but it’s not an Hausa meal. It’s an awesome berom dish from plateau state in Nigeria. Damn! I miss jos like mad......
Ok thank you for the correction and for watching
Thanks for uploading this, but I wish to correct that gwote is not a hausa food but a traditional food of some dialect on the plateau state in Nigeria most especially the Berom people and also some tribes in southern part of Kaduna state of Nigeria, These dialects are not hausa.
+Yop Ashom alright thanks, this has been noted.
Haa. It's not JZ Jos or Kaduna.. Borno ppl too nd others.. Nd dnt judge her cs many consider northerners to b hausas
Alright, noted
@Ayeezha Creation, is still better to correct them so they don't think we are all Hausa's.
I think “Hausa” is a commonly used term to refer to northern Nigerians in southern Nigeria.
I love the way you explained how to make it and it looks so nutritious
I'm glad you like it. Thanks a lot
THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST NUTRITIOUS FOOD I HAVE COME TO KNOW
My Kaduna friends introduced me to this.... I fell in love instantly !!!!
Aww, I'm glad you love it
When I'm in Nigeria, will visit you to come eat all this nice food ! Well done

+Adetokunbo Ujomah ahw! Thanks so much for your comment
Good one
Thank you
Thank you so much
You're welcome
Thanks a lot.
You are welcome
This lovely, you have inspired me to make my own... Please may I ask, is the last leave call alehu? And if I want to add dadawa, at what point should I add this, you also mentioned that you used a white fonio, is there a different one?
Thank you, I'm glad I inspired you. Yes it's alehu. You can add dawadawa before the acha so that it melts and blends with all other ingredients. Yes, the one I used is the dark brown and there's semi white type which is slightly different in colour but same taste and result.
@@OnyxFoodHill you are most welcome. Nima naa'gode 😇
@@OnyxFoodHill sorry 1 more question... Are there different forms of acha? You mentioned that you used the white one
It’s not amongst the Hausas, it’s from Plateau State and made by the Berom people. I grew up eating that. Just a correction to your video intro. Good video though.
Thanks for the clarification
Yes, it is very true, it is typical of the Berlms. I know it in Plateau. Thank you
I mean the Beroms…
Try it with dried cat fish
Good idea 💡 👍
Sorry do you use acha or corn ?
It was acha. Which is known as fonio in English
@@OnyxFoodHill oh good thank you so much I really appreciate you ❤
Cabbage
Gwate is not hausa food madam.
Whatever madam
I also know pate as a northern food.. from birum to angas
I vegan 🌱 can I do without the cray fish 🐟
Sure, you don't have to add crayfish
