I love the neck mount for my GoPro's , comfort and versatility in one package. No reason to strap on a bulky chest rig to just walk around. I liked it so much, I bought another as a backup.
I actually use the hidden one multiple days a week. I’m a small creator and am sometimes self conscious about anyone knowing I’m recording so it has really worked for me when I want my first person POV. have thought about the other one, but it doesn’t seem to be much of an upgrade if I’m not running. Thank you for the comparison!
@@blizzforte284 since it isn’t a big harness like the GoPro brand chest mount, I can pull the camera off if I walk near people and put it back on when I continue whatever activity I am recording.
@@gremmiechavez532 if you’re using a small action camera, yes. If you plan to use a big DSLR, no. One tip though is to keep it higher on your chest for more stability.
I use the magnetic base, the first one, but I stick the magnet that goes inside my body to my skin with eyelash glue, and it is PERFECT!!! It works great and you can even notice when you breathe a slight movement in the shot that makes it very real, I recommend using it like this. 😎😎😎😎
I got the hard one because I tend to bounce a bit more than some when I walk and I could see the camera flipping around a bit with the rope. I haven't tried it out yet but seeing this video tells me I made the right choice. I'm guessing a large part of the stability though is due to the software on the gopro. They're a great little camera for action shots. ;)
Great Video, I have both and I tried to use them with my DJI Pocket 2 and Insta360 X3 and I can tell you the neck mount is the one for those cameras (since are not square) the weight is distributed very different than a regular action camera.
Hey man could you please help me, I'm looking forward to purchase the X3 but I also want my hands to be free and not a chest vest which for it which is visible. Could you please suggest which will be the best ( Not that visible ) magnetic chest mount for X3 ?
@@navdeepdanner0088Hi man! The problem is the weight of the camera, and since the lens are very fragil I will use ( the one that I have) the telesin neck mount, because will be super secure on your neck with that magnet and the twist lock that has. and is very sutil is not gonna look like the entire go pro chest mouth. after months of searching for options that is the perfect (at least for me) hope that helps!
I think Ill get the first one since Im only doing driving vlogs.. but the second one is very good! Thank you for the review this is very helpful for me.
Thanks for the comparison, I've decided I'm getting the silicone neck mount instead of the magnetic one. A little feedback about the video: The production quality is top tier but you need to write a script beforehand so you're not searching for words mid sentence :)
I appreciate the feedback. However, writing scripts just doesn’t work for me. The videos that I script feel so unnatural when I deliver the lines. What I do sometimes though is do another take of a whole thought or line.
Niko I have the solution so the Rope Telesin halter becomes the best when running. This is what you need, a 3 blade razer, alcohol wipes, and double stick tape. Shave the chest, wipe super clean with wipe. Stick tape in desired area and stick the part on necklace that goes under shirt onto double stick tape.😂😅😅
Hello, could you please try a third option - using also the Neck Holder Mount under a shirt? I mean, it is also magnetic. The question is, whether it would be possible to insert the camera holder piece in the circular magnetic socket of the neck holder even through the shirt... 🤔Thanks.
Nice comparison. I wonder, would the TELESIN mount work with a cycling jersey/shirt that has a zip in the middle? Would the Telesin not hold evenly/tightly because of the zip going through the middle? Thnx.
@@NikoBols No need to reply. I've ordered the halter set. It holds over a cycling top, but not as strong as in the case of ULANZI GP-16. A typical cycling jersey is king of perforated which does not help with the magnet in case of the Telesin halter set. I do only ride on the road but it feels a bit risky and I fear of dropping my GoPro on the ground. Ulanzi GP-16 is much stronger, but the whole thing becomes pretty wide/big when I attach it to a hand holder/mini tripod, and that takes a lot of space in bicycle's frame bag. I think I will just stick to the typical chest mount (harness type).
thanks for the video, it was very informative. And in a future, could you try this in street with lot of people? i wondering how footage will be look like when there are lots of things going on infront of cam. again thanks :)
what about mountain hike? do u think it will be better with the hidden one or not? i feel the hidden one is nice bcs i can just detach it off and do vlog and i can reattach it to do pov video again
If you’re asking if you can mount the camera vertically, then the answer is no. But this is how I record vertically: th-cam.com/users/shortsJcGAX9rx1XQ?si=NHvlQSDOwpXeM7ny
For me it’s perfect because I do product reviews where I often switch between showing myself and pov, so leaving the mount on my body allows me to more quickly take the gorpo on and off between these angles

I wonder how they compare with the hyper smooth stabilization on
thank you for this. I was wondering about this. As for me, it's stability of the shot is more important with neck mount.

Excelent, but when you get down checking an Engine for example? Which ia better?
Which is better for doing outdoor activities?
Hello🙋♂️ mate. Does this telesin magnetic neck mount work on osmo pocket 3?
I'd love to see how the neck mount compares to the standard chest and head mounts
Would the magnet one be strong enough to hold a pocket 3 with the sunnylife magnet case on it?

No, it starts at 0:00.

Just use a long elastic band to strap across your chest and over the GoPro to stop the GoPro bounce up and down for both mounts
Hi I hv a query? If magnetic adapter will broke so it will be available separately of this new neck band. Plz reply
Can I attach external mic in this neckmount with ulanzi case, i hv GoPro hero 10
Hmm...that I'm not sure. You can check Telesin's website if they it available there.
I think as long as the Ulanzi case a mount for the thumb screw, then you can attach it.
Great comparison - thanks for the video! 🙂
Thanks for watching 🙏
For me it's the chest strap is the efficient one. Why? Because it's sturdy, and it's safer.
May be you can test trying to place the Halter Set, front and not behind your shirt. I believed the result will be the same as the neck version.

which one would be good for necksize of 51cm? purpose is to use for motovlogging. thx mate
How to make this even more hidden and discreet?
will this work on a water slide or swimming?
Hello Niko, what about gopro steady option, is linear+horizontal lock on or off when you shoot videos?
I shoot almost always with Linear + Horizon Lock ON. I only shoot without it if I really need a wider field of view.
Is the plate of the halter set necklace metal or magnet?
Can I use it for Iphone 14 Pro MAX
Which are you using, the Normal or the Max version?

Insta360 flowstate would smooth out that running footage.

I think that wearing a tight shirt " under armor" will solve the all over the place movement on the rope one.
Why not chest strap?
It's not gonna use motovlog on magnetic mount😢

I wish there was a way to eliminate the up and down motion 😭😭😭
Yeah, that’s gonna be hard. You need a 4-axis gimbal like the DJI Ronin for that. Something that compensates for the up and down motion.
