Trinity is one of many false doctrines he teaches

@@loreylane3918 The Trinity has pagan roots. It is not a Bible teaching, but it was adopted by Christendom in the fourth century. However, long before that, there were trinities in ancient Babylon, Egypt, and other places. Christendom thus incorporated a pagan concept into its teachings. This was instigated by Roman emperor Constantine, who was not interested in the truth about this matter but wanted to solidify his empire made up of pagans and apostate Christians. Far from being a development of a Christian teaching, the Trinity was evidence that Christendom had apostatized from the teachings of Christ and had adopted pagan teachings instead.
Why would such a doctrine develop? Certainly, God’s interests are not served by making Him, His Son, and His holy spirit confusing and mysterious. And it does not serve the interests of people to be confused. Instead, the more people become confused about God and his purposes, the better it suits Satan the Devil, God’s opposer, the ‘god of this world,’ who works to ‘blind the minds of unbelievers.’ (2 Corinthians 4:4) Since such a doctrine makes it appear that only theologians can understand Bible teachings, it also suits the religious leaders of Christendom. This helps them to maintain their hold on the common people.
Yet, the truth about this matter is so simple that a child can understand it. A little boy knows that he is not the same as his father but that they are two separate individuals. Similarly, when the Bible says that Jesus Christ is God’s Son, that is what it means. That is the simple truth, while the Trinity doctrine is not. It is a lie. So it must originate with “the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth.” (Revelation 12:9) But the simple, refreshing truths about God, his Son, Jesus Christ, and God’s powerful holy spirit free people from bondage to false teachings rooted in paganism and authored by Satan. As Jesus said to sincere truth seekers: “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32) Taking in accurate knowledge of liberating truths, as well as acting on them, “means everlasting life.”-John 17:3.
At Mark 13:32, Jesus Christ said: “But of that day or that hour [of God’s coming execution of judgment] no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” But if the Father and the Son are coequal, how could the Son be ignorant of things the Father knows? ‘Jesus had two natures,’ some will answer. ‘Here he is speaking as a man.’ And, yet, even if that were so, what about the “Holy Ghost”? If it is the third person of the Trinity, why does it not know? A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. And the “Holy Ghost” is part of the Trinitarian chain.
Similarly, on an earlier occasion Jesus had said: “No one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son.” (Luke 10:22) Once again, what about the “Holy Ghost”? If it is a conscious part of the “Godhead,” coequal with the Father and the Son, why does it not know?
More than 20 years after Jesus died and ascended to heaven, the apostle Paul wrote: “‘For who has known the mind of the Lord [the Father] so as to instruct him?’ But we have the mind of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 2:16) How is it possible to have “the mind of Christ” and yet not know “the mind of the Lord”-if the Father and the Son are coequal? This doctrine was unknown to the Hebrew prophets and Christian apostles.
The New Catholic Encyclopedia (1967 edition, Vol. XIV, p. 306) admits that “the doctrine of the Holy Trinity is not taught in the OT [Old Testament].” It also admits that the doctrine must be dated as from about three hundred and fifty years after the death of Jesus Christ. So the early Christians who were taught directly by Jesus Christ did not believe that God is a “Trinity.”
When Jesus was on earth he certainly was not equal to his Father, for he said there were some things that neither he nor the angels knew but that only God knew. (Mark 13:32) Furthermore, he prayed to his Father for help when undergoing trial. (Luke 22:41, 42) Also, he himself said: “The Father is greater than I am.” (John 14:28) Because of this, Jesus spoke of his Father as “my God” and as “the only true God.”-John 20:17; 17:3.

@Dub Jubs Please explain where I belittled the person? This is America, we have the right to free speech. But I am 21 year old right now, and for the past 19 years of my life I was in church every Sunday morning/night ant every Wednesday night, every week. My family is the famous southern gospel singing group “The Singing Ledbetter’s” and I went through it all and seen it all in those 19 years. My dad was a drunkin dope head his whole life while my mom was never in church, but church and religion is what saved them and got them on the righteous path. Me and my 2 siblings probably wouldn’t be alive today if it wasn’t for them believing in God. So trust me I know firsthand the power of what believing in god can do. But at the same time I have seen how dangerous it can be to some people and what it can lead to. You would be surprised. Believe it or not part of the reason why I left the church was because most of the racist, homophobic, hypocritical, aggressive, and sometimes even more sinful people I knew were the people I went to church with. While most of the people I interacted with and were friends with outside of the church were overall better people and had better “moral compasses” than those that went to church every Sunday and Wednesday yk?. As well as many other reasons and questions about religion and god himself, but it wasn’t easy to fall away trust me. But I’m sorry I went so long 😂

You got to remember tho, this is coming from a guy who is 75 years old and is reaching the final quarter of his life. I say that with the most respect, but it's easy to sit back when you've already lived your life and realize that it's not worth worrying about something you won't be alive to experience. Me on the other hand, I am a young guy. I care about my future. I understand he is taking the statement as a biblical approach, but besides the message and just focusing on the statement, it doesn't make any sense for someone young like me to just ignore what is effecting my future. If he doesn't want to spend the end of his life wrapped up in politics, I completely get it, but for all the 18-65+ year olds, I don't believe in ignoring it.
I was literally just watching too much of the news and getting worked up. Then, I watched this and was brought back down to reality and comforted in my faith. Once again, I say - thank you and may God bless you and your family Phil!

Much like the NFL, I made a decision to actually give up watching the "NEWS". It is no longer non-biased, straight-forward news at all....Propaganda just like other Communist countries is more like it. Thank you Phil.. one thing I’ve learned in my now, 70 years of living, but more importantly, the last 20, since I gave my heart to Jesus, is to be content in all situations. I live by this, just as you do Phil and I sleep well at night because of it. We know the end of the story that God wins, and I don’t understand how Christians can get themselves, so worked up about the state of the world when we know that God wins in the end. And we know that our hope in our future is with him, and we will live with him in eternity. And yes, the state of our world is in terrible shape, but is no different than if you read the old testament and recently I did a Bible study and second kings, and read story after story in the Bible of the evil that was in everyone and it’s just the same as it is today. thank you for preaching and showing us your heart for Jesus and as you said, we all need to “calm down”.

The New Testament comes from the first Christian’s ( the apostles) witch is now known as the Roman Catholic Church. Emperor Constantine I issued the Edict of Milan legalizing Christian worship. In 380, with the Edict of Thessalonica put forth under Theodosius I, the Roman Empire officially adopted Trinitarian Christianity as its state religion, and Christianity established itself as a predominantly Roman religion in the state church of the Roman Empire

Thank you my brother, even though I know the word of God I’ve still been feeling pretty down and depressed lately and allowing myself to become frustrated and depressed with the amount of outright in your face evil throughout this world we’re living in today. Don’t misunderstand me I’m content rather I have a lot or a little. But knowing what the word of God says and watching his many prophecy’s coming to pass right before my/ our eyes is truly amazing. I’ve never seen his word not being fulfilled or coming to pass exactly how he says it would. But the falling away, lies. , corruption and evil I’m witnessing on a daily basis is really getting me down. My faith is not shaken but seeing so many living and acting just like they were in the days of Noah and watching people and governments around the world going from bad to worse just makes me sad . When I think back to when I was a little boy growing up and being able to walk up to and read the Ten Commandments of God hung up on the hallways of our elementary school and how people and our country was back then and what it’s become today , and watching the great falling away truly saddens me . I just didn’t think our country would ever turn its back totally against the God of Israel 🇮🇱 in my lifetime. But I’m asking for all of my brother’s and sisters to pray for me and my family. My health is all that good either and I’m getting old .But anyways I’d sure love to see this country have a great revival and an out pouring of the Holy Spirit and see many getting saved and hopefully born again. I watch what poor ole Israel 🇮🇱 has to deal with daily to and it saddens me knowing so many of Gods people completely outright reject Jesus/ Yeshua as their lord and savior that it breaks this old man’s heart. I do my best witnessing to folks who’ll listen but find that most reject my lord and savior and think that the Bible’s just an old outdated fairytale and it really hurts. I guess it’s because of knowing that they’ll be separated from Jesus Christ/ Yeshua for all of eternity and it really does break my heart. Anyways thanks for all the prayers.

I cracked up when you jist said "calm down". It seems like I haven't heard that in a while. There is too much skepticism and fear, and Christians really need to be reminded to calm down. We are secure and God is in control

I absolutely love Mr. Phil's message. I get wound up every once in a while and after focusing on stopping the drugs, drinking, and cigarettes. I find myself struggling with exactly this. Being content. I've always had a temper and now I will work on putting all that in the rear view. God bless everyone who came here to learn and grow.
At Mark 13:32, Jesus Christ said: “But of that day or that hour [of God’s coming execution of judgment] no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” But if the Father and the Son are coequal, how could the Son be ignorant of things the Father knows? ‘Jesus had two natures,’ some will answer. ‘Here he is speaking as a man.’ And, yet, even if that were so, what about the “Holy Ghost”? If it is the third person of the Trinity, why does it not know? A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. And the “Holy Ghost” is part of the Trinitarian chain.
Similarly, on an earlier occasion Jesus had said: “No one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son.” (Luke 10:22) Once again, what about the “Holy Ghost”? If it is a conscious part of the “Godhead,” coequal with the Father and the Son, why does it not know?
More than 20 years after Jesus died and ascended to heaven, the apostle Paul wrote: “‘For who has known the mind of the Lord [the Father] so as to instruct him?’ But we have the mind of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 2:16) How is it possible to have “the mind of Christ” and yet not know “the mind of the Lord”-if the Father and the Son are coequal? This doctrine was unknown to the Hebrew prophets and Christian apostles.
The New Catholic Encyclopedia (1967 edition, Vol. XIV, p. 306) admits that “the doctrine of the Holy Trinity is not taught in the OT [Old Testament].” It also admits that the doctrine must be dated as from about three hundred and fifty years after the death of Jesus Christ. So the early Christians who were taught directly by Jesus Christ did not believe that God is a “Trinity.”
When Jesus was on earth he certainly was not equal to his Father, for he said there were some things that neither he nor the angels knew but that only God knew. (Mark 13:32) Furthermore, he prayed to his Father for help when undergoing trial. (Luke 22:41, 42) Also, he himself said: “The Father is greater than I am.” (John 14:28) Because of this, Jesus spoke of his Father as “my God” and as “the only true God.”-John 20:17; 17:3.
I was Born again a little over 7 years ago. And yesterday I got so mad when I saw what these public schools are doing to the kids in the USA. And all the other problems America is going through. I never get that Mad but I did and this anger made me think I Quenched the Holy Spirit. So I prayed to God this morning and asked him to take the fight out of me. And to show me what I needed to do. I've been a Christian now for about 7 years. I'm 42 years old. I just started watching Duck Dynasty a few weeks. The Robertson's have really encouraged my walk with Christ even more. Even people already walking with Christ still need encouragement from other believers. All of the Robertson's are a true blessing and I look up to and am inspired by all of them, even the women and children in the family. From Miss Kay, Mia, and everyone else. This family is a true blessing to the world and a great example of how God intended us to live our lives!!
